The Quick Silver, in my opinion, is the most beautiful and practical colour that’s currently available for Tesla.
Practical??
Haven’t seen it in person yet but 2k for silver is steep.
@@grahamstefaan exactly! You don’t need to wash it as often plus any marks and chips aren’t that visible on this specific colour too.
@@bigpapanacho4033 yes it is.. Interesting that in Europe we don’t have the Stealth Grey colour option available at all and White Pearl comes included while in US I can see the SG is included and the WP is optional 😅

Thanks for your updates on battery sourcing and relevant Tesla models! Very helpful information.
I hope the M3 long range gets the tax credit, I was planning on buying a new car this year.
Get the performance it will come out to 45k before tax if u qualify that's what I'm going for!
Keep the news and videos coming. ⚡️🏁
if GM has any working brain cells, their HUGE battery silverado could be the camping king.
Didn’t mention the new Model Y long range that came out today
Ryan, you’re one of the hardest working RUclipsrs out there, and your content is always good. I’ve remained a subscriber long after selling my 2020 Model Y back in ‘22, and am now back to a Tesla, with a new RWD Model 3. Keep up the great and hard work. I know I’m sharing your videos with others.
Great to see Quicksilver paint is now officially available for the Model Y, will Tesla's other cars be getting this option any time soon?
Does anyone know if the Model 3 Performance is still elegible for Federal tax credit if leased? I can't seems to see it in the website.
Hi Ryan, what benefits do we both get from Tesla when clicking your Referral Link?
Tax credits are still based on qualifying lower income. I know a few people who got a surprise when they took the discount and didn’t qualify come tax time.
Stupid idea to begin with.
Got insurance quoted for $440 for a regular model 3, mind you i wanted the performance. So that would be around $600 probably. I have a excellent driving history, but i live in nyc. Tesla insurance not available. It’s extremely rough.
Agree it’s crazy how some people are able to get their insurance so low. But i guess the area matters.
@@MishalJKamdar Area matters big time. And tesla insurance only available in the more safer states. It kind of eliminated the possibility of me getting one soon. Any kind of gas savings is going straight to insurance cost so it’s counter productive. Hoping this changes
@@charliechillzhd7625yeah I’m also in the same boat being in the New Jersey area. It sucks.
$440 and $600 for how many months? one month? I pay $600 for six months on my 2014 honda accord coupe and that is the cheapest I can find.
@@WarpedTrekker Around $600 for one month! Im paying $250 on my car and thats generous. Same 2017 mustang and prices have only gone up. Started at $210. Asked why, they said other people have been crashing, so everybody suffers. Absolute scam.
Kia is only making 'affordable' EV now because BYD has been doing it for ages. As in this clip, they are selling EV5 in China for 20K USD but it becomes more than double that price once it hit Australia.
I was going to buy a BYD Atto 3 for around 50K AUD (33K USD) but I learnt that BYD is selling the newer version of the vehicle for 26K AUD (17.1K USD). I'm going to order a RWD Model Y instead especially after a recent price cut to around 40K USD.
I'd rather give Elon my money than paying double the price for a cheaply made Chinese EVs. I know my MY will also be made in China but it will be much higher quality.
What battery is in the 2024 M3P? I thought they use the same 2170 battery from LG Energy Solution?
The M3P already qualifies for the tax credit.
@@tiffanyjungs What battery is in the 2024 M3P?
What is being done about Outrageous insurance costs ? These costs negate any Power and Maintenance savings !
I have Tesla insurance. It's cheaper than anyone else if you have a good safety score. The main issue is that all current Teslas and most EVs are in the luxury class. That's why the insurance is high.
@@That-Guy_ yeah I am not buying any EV at these prices. Need to get to 25K or I will stick with gas.
@@That-Guy_I guess that’s a good option if you never drive after 10pm
@@none23517
Hopefully you will only have to wait for about 2 more years for a $25k EV
I put some info into Geico's estimator for a rav4 hybrid premium and a tesla 3 (2024, similar price vehicles) and the monthly premiums were nearly the same
When is the Juniper edition gonna release?.
I like the Model 3, but it doesn’t suit my needs. I’m waiting for the Model Y, even if it doesn’t get the tax credit.
Hey quick silver isn't an option on the tesla site anymore
Secretlu sourcing IP batteries from MULN
0.99% APR for Model Y Long range for May up to 72 months. With my white color upgrade and wheel upgrades, it takes my monthly payment to $564 / month with the $7500 tax credit here in CA. Not too bad.
New Model Y upgrade coming out in January so they are trying to push sales before the new model release.
Are the tax credits this year finally taken off the MSRP? Or is it a credit you still file for when you file your taxes?
taken off msrp
It's now taken off at point of sale for Tesla vehicles. Not all other brands do though, some dealers have opted not to set it up that way with the IRS.
Model y RWD just went up 2000 euro in the Netherlands
same here but you have the full long range battery capacity now…
@@LeonidasD828 yes, but thats 50k here. Rwd normaal range went up 2k to 46k
I'd like Tesla to work on stopping the trunk from opening into obstacles like a closed garage door or a bike rack.
You need to set the height it will open to, to prevent this.
Ryan coming in clutch with the regular uploads🙏appreciate you
Ryan, if the long range ends up qualifying for the federal tax credit, will it be retroactive to the people that already got their new 2024 model three long ranges already? I got mine last month, and in my eyes I see that it will probably be able to retro active the tax credit because it’s in the same tax year?
If you qualified it should have been taken off the price.
@@rayshafer770 No, it wasn't eligible
Probably but that'll be up to the IRS. You would have to file for the credit with your taxes vs getting it taken directly off the purchase price.
@@jgleigh I really hope so haha. I don’t mind waiting until next year’s tax time for the credit. Too late for point of sale for me now anyways lol
The Quick Silver is not the same from Europe or China. I work at giga Texas and it’s more like a grayish blue color. Totally disappointed
K Ryan love your videos but if someone is watching your video they know what TSMC stands for lolol
With regards to the Cybertruck Frunk causing an issue with a finger, why does it always take customer criticism before Tesla makes a fix. Tesla is supposed to hire smart people, so you'd think someone there would have caught this potential safety hazard early on. Or is it brought up but over ruled by supervisors?
Wen new Model Y thoughhhh
If the model 3 gets a tax credit will that help lease payments be cheaper?
Yes
It would, but they are already dirt cheap at just over $3K upfront and $299/mo.
@@evtruth just ordered mine it shoukd be here next week
@@wolvesden3699 did you do a lease? If so, you should know that Tesla does NOT allow you to buy out your lease at the end.
@@evtruth I did lease 3 years. At that point I imagine the batteries and FSD will improve a lot and maybe that 25k car will be out. At that point I’ll buy that
Is it worth leasing a tesla since you cant buy it out?
Buffalo? really? They gonna start getting that city back up?
Could you qualify for a tax credit for model 3 long range if already purchased?
I'm wondering that too
No you likely wouldn’t
nope
Probably but that'll be up to the IRS. You would have to file for the credit with your taxes vs getting it taken directly off the purchase price.
Hopefully the IRS allows it 🤞
I don't understand why "Teslas are getting cheaper" is a thing. The M3 I want (Long range, red, tow hitch) has been £53,290 for at least the last 6 months, maybe longer.
Used model S Plaid or new model 3 performance?
3
3
Plaid. Loss of interior and trunk space with the small trunk in the 3.
You should quote insurance costs for that plaid first, that might make your decision easier.

What does CLTC stand for? Chinese L To Chinese?
I had to look this up too. I wish Ryan would explain these things if he is going to discuss them. Here is what I found:
I saw some journos calling CLTC a process when ‘the EV is let rolling down the hill in a vacuum’. The reason why reporters call CLTC range (China Light Duty Vehicle Test Cycle) numbers unrealistic is quite obvious. The Chinese driving cycle returns much better range numbers than both its European WLTP (Worldwide Light Duty Vehicle Test Protocol) counterpart and the American EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) procedures. In Europe, drivers already have a hard time equaling the WLTP numbers. EPA range is a bit closer to what people experience in practice and generally returns lower ranges than WLTP.
Dude, the M3 and MY are still great cars, but the company is imploding just as legacy manufacturers are coming out with real competition and everything EM is doing are mortal wounds just as the company was hitting stability.
The iceberg has already hit the ship but everyone is too busy listening to the music on the deck to realize the catastrophe that’s coming.
It makes zero financial sense to buy a new Tesla when there are thousands on the used market with savings over 50% for cars only 2 years old or less. Or how about an 8 year old Model S for $14,000? They are out there.
Tesla is a confusing company. I will now get a 2025 RAV4 Prime instead of the Y. Who knows when the Juniper refresh will come and how much it will cost. The current Y is overpriced...and just plain OLD. Without the tax giveaway the Y would be even more overpriced.
Musk said it won't be this year, but everyone knows it's coming. It's likely it'll be early next year.
Also, you can go for the RAV4 Prime, but plug-In hybrids can be worse for the environment if you don't plan on actually plugging it in because you have the carbon footprint up front for the battery as well as the much larger carbon footprint for the gasoline, so if you don't plan on plugging it in, you don't really ever make back that carbon footprint. Just sometime to think about.
model 3 awd is 47k. model y awd is 47k. If it's not even gonna make a difference if you want awd since y and 3 are same, you can just get the y now since it already qualifies for the tax credit
The interior isn't as nice as the Model 3 refresh though imo and the suspension on the model 3 refresh is waaay better, hopefully the Y gets the same level refresh next year and if M3LR isn't available for tax credit by then ill just get a newer Y.
I just leased a RWD Tesla Model 3 last Sunday and I got the $7500 from Tesla
The model Y LR should be done for the Model 3 to get the tax credit back and create a cheaper EV
Warning if you live in a area with bad roads you probably don’t want the performance model I have been blowing out tire sidewalls every month you would probably be better off with the long range with the acceleration boost option
You could also go to an 18"/19" wheel with a bigger sidewall. I'm considering doing that myself.
I am going to tape the interior monitoring camera! most annoying feature in the car
Won’t let you drive using full self driving if you do.

How can graphite be a trace mineral? We use it in pencils.
Graphite crystals are relatively rare. The US has no graphite reserves so most of it is imported.
It’s used in pencils because it’s soft and has low resistance to shearing, which is the reason it leaves a mark. It’s actually mixed with clay to form the bulk of the pencil “lead”.
Read the CRS report "Critical Minerals in Electric Vehicle Batteries" is 20 some pages. It'll explain everything.
Unfortunately not all potential EV buyers can make use of the full EV tax credit. I for one could afford an EV if the IRS allowed the tax credit to go straight to the manufacture, yep essentially lowering the cost, or allowing me to carryover any unused tax credit for up 5 years.
Just what we need. Non Tesla owners clogging up Tesla Supercharger sites. No, just NO.
It’s limited access to certain superchargers.

US has no EV battery infrastructure. It takes 15 to 20 minutes to charge and if you own a house you’re fine. How about the people who don’t own a house, where the heck you gonna charge your EV.
A miklion reservations for cyber truck happened when it was going to cost $39k and get 500 miles of range. Both typical Elon over promising and under delivering. I suspect a good portion of those reservations will never come to fruition. Now that Muck has axed his SC team, we can likely look forward to even slower sales from Tesla

I’m done with Tesla new changes.. Back to ICE at meat I can find gas stations.
Tesla's base model 3 doesn't get the $7500 FED Tax rebate? Fail. High cost unaffordable EV insurance for a Tesla? Another fail.
With Tesla no longer supporting charging sites and expanding out and making it realistic. I am done with Tesla. I just bought one couple months ago. I will live with it for about five years and then I’ll be lucky if I can probably get 100 bucks for it becauseall the chargers will be broken
As much as I disagree with Elon's decision, that is some major exaggeration.
Musk stated today that they will still be spending $500M (half a billion dollars) annually to both build out and maintain the network. They are going to focus on adding additional plugs at existing locations as well as upgrading infrastructure, which awesome for everyone.
Didn't need tax breaks to go from horse and buggy to cars. If EV's are so great why a tax break for them? Answer is they are way over priced!
Good news, I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word (Jesus) and believes Him who sent Me (God) has eternal life and will not be condemned; he has crossed over from death to life. John 5:24 Jesus died for you, all you have to do is believe & repent.
So is God to you sadistic or negligent?

Toxic Batteries that fail in cold weather.
Long term reliability issues.
China controls the raw materials which planning on invading USA etc.
Grid Issues: Capacity, Reliability and Skyrocketing Costs.
Limited Charging Network.
Low charger reliability & functionality.
Extremely unacceptable towing range.
Extremely expensive to repair when parts fail.
Battery replacement & proper disposal massive expense.
Expensive to repair in accidents.
Skyrocketing insurance rates.
Etc.
Are we talking about the fallacies spread by those who have never even owned an EV?
@@evtruth EV sales are slumping and used Tesla’s aplenty.
@@icare7151 what does that have to do with fallacies? As far as seeing them "aplenty", that's what happens when cars become more prevalent. The Model Y was the best selling car in the world last year, and has been selling well for the last few years, so of course you're going to see used ones more.
Also, literally ALL car sales are slowing. When necessities like food have skyrocketed in price and interest rates are 6%+ for car loans it's going to affect sales. I'm curious how Tesla's new 0.99%/72 months promotional financing will affect sales.
I’m never buying a Tesla until Elon is gone. My hatred for that man is extreme.
I was a Tesla early adopter. Elon has often stated that if it were not for the paying customers from 2016-18, Tesla would have gone broke. My reward? Being screwed over on FSD. They won’t refund my $$$ and they won’t deliver the product. This is FRAUD. I warn everyone to steer clear of Tesla until Elon is gone, …
I don't follow the CEO of my local grocery store, the produce company that I purchase from there, or the CEO of the clothing that I purchase because I couldn't care less what their views are. I'm not going to change that for making a decision on my vehicle purchases, either.
I'll buy what I like and feel is the best based on the product experience. Not the person trying to sell it to me.
