Max's head being on fire has been a thing since Season One. Non-PC versions of Seasons 1 & 2 (iPad, PS3, XBLA, Wii) as well as their remasters (PS4, XBONE, PC, Switch, and KFConsole) were the only ones to actually have it (and even then it was just a loading screen). I suppose they just added Max's head on fire to Season 3 since it fit Episode 5's whole.. thing.

Okay played 1 and 2 and still so badly want to play Season 3 here, looking forward to what’s next on these wild goofballs Especially with how good word of the first remaster season turned out, hope they do the same for 2 and this in the future, really taletell did great with Sam and Max here, hope they go back on simple puzzle style games like this someday soon, not complaining just like these more
