Eventually the zombie money stopped coming in and they went down hard...

If Skybound didn't throw some support on a few of the fallen studios former employees it would've left that story up to dry. The streamlining of their out put is still there. I Never said their walking dead series explicitly caused their downfall I said the massive success caused them to go corporate too quickly and they made a lot of terrible choices in tandem with the weakening quality of their titles. I guess you could say their rapidly diminishing returns from the licensed market was what effectively killed the company. But I'll say heavy saturation, crunch and some simply poor output was what killed them here.

It's a mix of the names Yog-Sototh and Shoggoth. To my knowledge, the Shoggoths were a kind of slave species created by some Eldritch race or others in Lovecraft's works that rebelled and killed everyone, and Yog-Sototh is some Elder God. I don't know the exact details about him.
