Yea NGL this is much better than amazing digital circus. Better dialogue, better pacing, better story, better jokes... I'm sure I could go on but anyway... The discrepancy in views and popularity between those two is nothing but absurd.
@@DivineBanana well I think the digital circus deserves love- I’m not going to disrespect one artist for the sake of another- that’s not cool. But i still definitely agree this deserves just as much love.
@@aoikuma2337 it absolutely deserves love. I just think it's overrated, and I see how what I said seems harsh, but I really don't mean to bash it. I like a lot of things about it, the animation is great and character designs are fun, but I don't think it's any better than the countless other animation that get a fraction of the views.
And personally I just found this to be far more entertaining, idk I just get bored watching digital circus, despite the fact that I can appreciate that it is good animation. I just like this story better, I find it more unique and interesting. Just my personal opinion. No disrespect intended whatsoever!

I liked the fact that once gravity literally left the building, they showed Beeps and Shrike having the advantage. Not because they had magnetic boots but because they were used to the zero gravity. Since their home ship doesn't have any AG.

I don't think I've ever found a series with designs for characters where I like every single one, until today. Wow, I know I'm late to the show but wow. Amazing
I've now seen all three episodes. And now I've come back to the first.

One thing I hadn't quite noticed before is how Beebs seems to genuinely be having a good time during the first encounter with Ricket and the gang, even teasing them a bit at the end. Which ends up following on the second encounter.
Despite looking like the "gentle giant" character, he's actually a bit more complex than he let's on, he enjoys the action just as much- he's just a biiit more responsible than Shrike. I love the way the *characterization* of the characters is presented in subtle ways like that!
And the fact he's a bit more concerned with the merc company than Shrike.
While cashing in on the bounty would net them a lot of money, breaking contract would definitely not help them move up on the board.
@@Oni_Manga_Land Its true! and I like how you can either take that as him "not breaking contract because it goes against what he belives in" and "not breaking contract for the sake of keeping a good reputation for the job", it might as well be both for him.
I love Beebs as a character. He's kind and sweet, but he can also put up a fight! And he's capable of looking at the bigger picture when Shrike can't.

I came from Just Stop’s video and I'm so glad I did. This first episode was hilarious, fun, and action-packed. This was an amazing experience and RUclips should recommend it to more people who love the animation sphere

My favorite thing about this first episode is how efficient and natural it makes a lot of the exposition. A quick line or two between a pair of characters and you INSTANTLY get where they stand with each other. The entire Scratch scene is probably the best example of this. You could probably take that scene out of context and show it to someone and it'd stand on it's own as a self contained short.

I like how Shrike's threat rating is only a 5 out of a max of 10 but when push comes to shove he proves to be incredibly capable. With quick thinking he basically had Kara cornered. If he was only able to keep his mouth shut he would have had her and he'd have been able to sequester Nobert back to his terminal.
That's why he's a 5 out of 10. His whole knucklehead persona severely holds him back.

You took the manic energy of EarthWorm Jim and placed it in a character that is actually competent. The second I saw his face and heard his voice, I got nervous that he was just going to be the annoying funny man, but no. You made him into a really fun character with a voice that fits his fits of mania.
That's exactly what I thought when I saw the thumbnail. Reminds me of a lot of Doug TenNapel's work, and that's a good thing. I love Earthworm Jim.

I actually hunt for animations and shows, especially the pilots, youtube really did refuse to actually put this show in the algorithm despite its clear quality. Very sad, but super happy you guys kept posting so the newest episode could finally fall into my feed.
17:09 I love the little reference to humans in this scene on the "Kill on sight" poster, which is understandable given our history as a species.
It's more than understandable why we'd be hunted by other species in this reality which makes it much more terrifying. Those unfortunate humans who have done nothing wrong have to pay for the bad the earlier ones have done. It would be interesting if we got to see a living human in future episodes.
Still one of the best indie cartoon pilots out there

I like the way how monkey wrench is dofferent from other shows, doesn't focus soo much on profanity
and it doesn't rely on sex jokes either like Helluva Boss, I mean, I love that show but it can be a little much, especially during scenes that are supposed to be more serious.

Give Monkey Wrench credit: they accepted a dangerous contract for a fraction of the worth of the bounty, then proceeded to succeed on the assignment despite being assaulted by numerous hunters, to only be denied signage when an ELITE ASSASSIN interferes... and even then, only barely!
I'm willing to bet that Shrike is BEYOND mad at himself for letting himself get distracted and costing him and Beebs the bounty.
Whoever voiced Nubert deserves at least 20 oscars- the NoOoOoOOoOo was perfect
That was Joshua "Zeurel" Palmer, the main writer and animator of the series himself. Also, Queen Potoo is voiced by his wife, Ashley Palmer
It really (Redacted) me off that I didn't get notified of this series. This one episode was such a good time and fun to watch with the humor, the characters, and the world it's building. Tomorrow I am gonna watch the other 2 episodes. I really hope more people check this out cause this is genuinely good and brings me such joy to watch.

It’s got a real 90s cartoon vibe that I’m absolutely here for! The animation is well done, the color palette is appealing, the plot is fun and fast paced, and the voice acting and characters are so fun! Good job guys!
Man the new revamped sound effects really help giving the actions scenes the impact they so deserved, really cool tweaking around in this one

This new audio just made me realise how ABSOLUTELY VITAL it can be at times.
The scene where they’re all fighting feels so much more jumpy and faster by simply making the laser gun sounds louder, it’s amazing!
Extremely fun and fluid. I felt like i was watching something from my child hood when Don Bluth was working on tons of hand drawn animations. All characters became lovable being able to view so many of their micro expressions and mannerisms. Never a dull moment. Amazing work!
Gotta say this is one of my favourite animated series on youtube, Zeurel and the team did a fantastic job on this!
I've noticed Indie animated shows on RUclips tend to be a tad hit-or-miss due to inexperience. I'm grateful that the folks making this show clearly know what they're doing!

This is an absolutely amazing piece of art. It needs more attention on GOD
It's unbealivable how underrated this show is, I've been watching the two episodes that'd been uploaded over and over again for like 3 months now and everything just keeps fascinating me, sadly I don't have much money to support the series as much as I'd like to, but I just hope we can watch this project grow and become what it deserves to. Thanks to the creators for making this unforgettable piece of media.

what i love about this show much more than helluva boss is the fact it nails both character and story plot without needing to be overly profane while keeping a steady and consistent pace, not make 100+ antagonists and dump them the next episode never to be seen again.

This was relentlessly recommended to me for the past 3 months. I'm very glad I clicked on it at last... I'm definitely gonna support it from here on out!
This feels like a fever dream crossover of Cowboy Bebop, Ratchet and Clank, and Final Space. And I’m all for it!! 🎉
The series itself is turning out to be pretty good, and the voice characterizations by Jacob Barrens as Shrike Sanchez & Jean-Francois Donaldson as Bulldog Browns certainly help.
Heres some stuff in this episode I found to be worth noting for theory craffting or generally interesting and I plan to do this for each episode. Please support the creators! So to start of heres what the secondary target profiles told us about our protagonists
Shrike Sanchez

Notes: Target heavily favours long range combat. Useless in close range combat. Take out first to have an easier time taking down the much larger threat Bulldog.
Bulldog Browns

Weight: 800lbs / 362kg
Age: 32 galactic years
Species: Walrinian
Threat rating: 9/10
Notes: Target heavily favours close range combat. Take out Sanchez first to have an easier time taking down this massive opponent.
The pictures are also interesting as they help show off their personalities
Shrike's is in the moment and goofy, showing his incompetence and love of pizza. Whoever made his description didn't care too much or Shrike is surprisingly under the radar, but I think it's the first.
There's slightly more detail about Bulldog and it treats him as a genuine threat. His picture helps to show him as a gentle gaint with his soft exertion and posing, making the photographer look small.
Someone called 'Primary Red' is mentioned in the news on the scrolling text with a statement about how they hope there won't be another disater when the league of aligned worlds is mentioned, leading me believing their connected.
Just before Bulldog shuts off the news we see a large bounty was issued by the Potoo empire, presumably the one everyone was after.
A white circle, presumably the 'Ghost egg', is orbiting the planet and its moon based on a drawing seen the background they were speaking to Nobert
Tyreens blind minions seem extremely sturdy.
Scratch might be the 'Precious sardine' bounty hunters we can see on the ranking list
