My favorite thing about this first episode is how efficient and natural it makes a lot of the exposition. A quick line or two between a pair of characters and you INSTANTLY get where they stand with each other. The entire Scratch scene is probably the best example of this. You could probably take that scene out of context and show it to someone and it'd stand on it's own as a self contained short.
One thing I hadn't quite noticed before is how Beebs seems to genuinely be having a good time during the first encounter with Ricket and the gang, even teasing them a bit at the end. Which ends up following on the second encounter. Despite looking like the "gentle giant" character, he's actually a bit more complex than he let's on, he enjoys the action just as much- he's just a biiit more responsible than Shrike. I love the way the *characterization* of the characters is presented in subtle ways like that!
And the fact he's a bit more concerned with the merc company than Shrike. While cashing in on the bounty would net them a lot of money, breaking contract would definitely not help them move up on the board.

You took the manic energy of EarthWorm Jim and placed it in a character that is actually competent. The second I saw his face and heard his voice, I got nervous that he was just going to be the annoying funny man, but no. You made him into a really fun character with a voice that fits his fits of mania.

I like how Shrike's threat rating is only a 5 out of a max of 10 but when push comes to shove he proves to be incredibly capable. With quick thinking he basically had Kara cornered. If he was only able to keep his mouth shut he would have had her and he'd have been able to sequester Nobert back to his terminal.
I *highly* reccomend watching with subtitles, especially in the first encounter with Scratch, the montauge, and in the final fight scene. 21:14 “ *Ricket crying like a BITCH* ” Is one of my favorite quotes from the episode, *and its not even said outloud*
I came from Just Stop’s video and I'm so glad I did. This first episode was hilarious, fun, and action-packed. This was an amazing experience and RUclips should recommend it to more people who love the animation sphere

Give Monkey Wrench credit: they accepted a dangerous contract for a fraction of the worth of the bounty, then proceeded to succeed on the assignment despite being assaulted by numerous hunters, to only be denied signage when an ELITE ASSASSIN interferes... and even then, only barely!

what i love about this show much more than helluva boss is the fact it nails both character and story plot without needing to be overly profane while keeping a steady and consistent pace, not make 100+ antagonists and dump them the next episode never to be seen again.
I've noticed Indie animated shows on RUclips tend to be a tad hit-or-miss due to inexperience. I'm grateful that the folks making this show clearly know what they're doing!

Heres some stuff in this episode I found to be worth noting for theory craffting or generally interesting and I plan to do this for each episode. Please support the creators! So to start of heres what the secondary target profiles told us about our protagonists Shrike Sanchez Height: 6'3" / 192cm Weight: 125lbs / 57kg Age: Unknown Species: Unknown Threat rating: 5/10 Notes: Target heavily favours long range combat. Useless in close range combat. Take out first to have an easier time taking down the much larger threat Bulldog. Bulldog Browns Height: 8'12" / 272cm Weight: 800lbs / 362kg Age: 32 galactic years Species: Walrinian Threat rating: 9/10 Notes: Target heavily favours close range combat. Take out Sanchez first to have an easier time taking down this massive opponent. The pictures are also interesting as they help show off their personalities Shrike's is in the moment and goofy, showing his incompetence and love of pizza. Whoever made his description didn't care too much or Shrike is surprisingly under the radar, but I think it's the first. There's slightly more detail about Bulldog and it treats him as a genuine threat. His picture helps to show him as a gentle gaint with his soft exertion and posing, making the photographer look small. Someone called 'Primary Red' is mentioned in the news on the scrolling text with a statement about how they hope there won't be another disater when the league of aligned worlds is mentioned, leading me believing their connected. Just before Bulldog shuts off the news we see a large bounty was issued by the Potoo empire, presumably the one everyone was after. A white circle, presumably the 'Ghost egg', is orbiting the planet and its moon based on a drawing seen the background they were speaking to Nobert Tyreens blind minions seem extremely sturdy. Scratch might be the 'Precious sardine' bounty hunters we can see on the ranking list
aww I'm back from watching episode 2 and I love the detail that Shrike mentions that he doesn't like the dark, and there is a night lamp in his room 2:15 😭😭
It really (Redacted) me off that I didn't get notified of this series. This one episode was such a good time and fun to watch with the humor, the characters, and the world it's building. Tomorrow I am gonna watch the other 2 episodes. I really hope more people check this out cause this is genuinely good and brings me such joy to watch.
It's unbealivable how underrated this show is, I've been watching the two episodes that'd been uploaded over and over again for like 3 months now and everything just keeps fascinating me, sadly I don't have much money to support the series as much as I'd like to, but I just hope we can watch this project grow and become what it deserves to. This new audio just made me realise how ABSOLUTELY VITAL it can be at times. The scene where they’re all fighting feels so much more jumpy and faster by simply making the laser gun sounds louder, it’s amazing!
Damn the audio mixing in this version is QUITE a bit better. I caught a whole ton of jokes that went totally over my head on the first watch. Definitely supporting!

Extremely fun and fluid. I felt like i was watching something from my child hood when Don Bluth was working on tons of hand drawn animations. All characters became lovable being able to view so many of their micro expressions and mannerisms. Never a dull moment. Amazing work!
Looking forward to seeing this new channel grow. Im digging the balanced audio too. I WILL miss seeing Saberspark's "This is too good for the likes of RUclips" comment though 😅.
The series itself is turning out to be pretty good, and the voice characterizations by Jacob Barrens as Shrike Sanchez & Jean-Francois Donaldson as Bulldog Browns certainly help.
Now this is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED! This is better than most actual animated shows nowadays, and even though that aint saying much, this is still a masterpiece.

I'm willing to bet that Shrike is BEYOND mad at himself for letting himself get distracted and costing him and Beebs the bounty.
Really love this series. Mixes, action, drama, suspense & comedy very well. This really needs more eyes on it.
Note that @17:11 the poster shows an example of a (executed) Terran male and female and it says to execute the species on site!!! VERY IMPORTANT!! Also, on caras Device she pulls up the crate that shrike and bulldog get from the law in episode two end it says Target: secondary Green location, unknown. She also pulls up, shrike and bulldog as a secondary target as she’s looking at the primary target, which is Nobert Potoo.

YO I JUST GOT A CRACKPOT THEORY. The humans/terrans mustve been the ones to cause the catastrophe (if you havent gotten to ep.4 dont look i to it.). Because humans are, well, risktaking. And we would totally cause something like that. Of course they would want us dead if we caused something so dangerous.
Oh and also to note that the red circled area is clearly tainted by green. So we really did paint a good 1/8 of the galaxy in catastrophe.
(Comment above was made after another comment that was lost. Heres a retelling): My crackpot theory is that humanity caused the catastrophy. Because humans would totally experiment with dark magic and stuff. It explains why they want us killed. Because that a big chunk of the galaxy.
Shrike mentions it, in ep 2. But you know humans tottally would not do something like that..... no yea we totally would. We blew up a nuke while suspecting that it could burn the atmosphere.
It's just nice to see an indie cartoon where the characters actually like each other and aren't swearing every two seconds :P

what i love about this show much more than helluva boss is the fact it nails both character and story plot without needing to be overly profane while keeping a steady and consistent pace, not make 100+ antagonists and dump them the next episode never to be seen again.

I've noticed Indie animated shows on RUclips tend to be a tad hit-or-miss due to inexperience. I'm grateful that the folks making this show clearly know what they're doing!

The pictures are also interesting as they help show off their personalities
Shrike's is in the moment and goofy, showing his incompetence and love of pizza. Whoever made his description didn't care too much or Shrike is surprisingly under the radar, but I think it's the first.
There's slightly more detail about Bulldog and it treats him as a genuine threat. His picture helps to show him as a gentle gaint with his soft exertion and posing, making the photographer look small.
Someone called 'Primary Red' is mentioned in the news on the scrolling text with a statement about how they hope there won't be another disater when the league of aligned worlds is mentioned, leading me believing their connected.
Just before Bulldog shuts off the news we see a large bounty was issued by the Potoo empire, presumably the one everyone was after.
A white circle, presumably the 'Ghost egg', is orbiting the planet and its moon based on a drawing seen the background they were speaking to Nobert
Tyreens blind minions seem extremely sturdy.
Scratch might be the 'Precious sardine' bounty hunters we can see on the ranking list
Man the new revamped sound effects really help giving the actions scenes the impact they so deserved, really cool tweaking around in this one
aww I'm back from watching episode 2 and I love the detail that Shrike mentions that he doesn't like the dark, and there is a night lamp in his room 2:15 😭😭
It really (Redacted) me off that I didn't get notified of this series. This one episode was such a good time and fun to watch with the humor, the characters, and the world it's building. Tomorrow I am gonna watch the other 2 episodes. I really hope more people check this out cause this is genuinely good and brings me such joy to watch.

It's unbealivable how underrated this show is, I've been watching the two episodes that'd been uploaded over and over again for like 3 months now and everything just keeps fascinating me, sadly I don't have much money to support the series as much as I'd like to, but I just hope we can watch this project grow and become what it deserves to. Thanks to the creators for making this unforgettable piece of media.

This new audio just made me realise how ABSOLUTELY VITAL it can be at times.
The scene where they’re all fighting feels so much more jumpy and faster by simply making the laser gun sounds louder, it’s amazing!
Damn the audio mixing in this version is QUITE a bit better. I caught a whole ton of jokes that went totally over my head on the first watch. Definitely supporting!
Honestly its a damn shame that youtube isnt recommending this enough, and an even bigger shame that it wasnt on glitch x. This is easily my favourite indie animated show on RUclips so im leaving a mandatory engagement comment.

Extremely fun and fluid. I felt like i was watching something from my child hood when Don Bluth was working on tons of hand drawn animations. All characters became lovable being able to view so many of their micro expressions and mannerisms. Never a dull moment. Amazing work!

Seriously this was an amazing good episode. The animation and voice acting was awesome.
This show deserves all the love and attention it gets.
The series itself is turning out to be pretty good, and the voice characterizations by Jacob Barrens as Shrike Sanchez & Jean-Francois Donaldson as Bulldog Browns certainly help.

Now this is CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED! This is better than most actual animated shows nowadays, and even though that aint saying much, this is still a masterpiece.

really hope the algorithm will be nicer to this series, it's so cool to see indie animations on this site, especially one as fun as this one.
This series is even better with subtitles! I think it’s so unfair how much work they put into this project but barely get any views, it’s by far one of the best animated series on RUclips I’ve seen yet!
