- Daniel from Tuppens Marine is an authorized Key West distributor in the South Florida area. When I have questions about Yamaha I ask Daniel. You guys have seen Daniel on many Solace boat walk throughs and sea trials on my channel.Today we walk his personal boat and wanted to get his thoughts on what he likes about his boat. The Key West 239 FS is priced just above 100k so may be slightly above someones budget seeking a boat under 100 k.

Picking mine up Tomorrow, Brand new 2023 239 FS, t top with yamaha 300hp, trailer, bait tank option, factory 4 speaker stereo (coming out next week, a new wet sounds system going in)twin GPS, Twin 10 foot Power poles, Trolling Motor, VHF, porta potty, front seat filler cushions loaded... Out the door it was right at $120,000. Most evpensive thing I have ever purchased, my house for 100k 30 years ago... So excited cant wait for this weekend to try it out...

Just a few years ago this was a 60k boat. I remember going to boat shows and seeing sea hunt gamefish 25’s with electronics and trailer for 85 out the door. Boat prices are insane and why I’m buying used trucks and used boats.

It just blows my mind how much boats prices have increased from say 4-5 years ago.... I will just wait till it all comes crashing down and buy them cheaper. Nice video tho (high thumbs) 👍

I actually bought the pervious version of this boat when we moved to Florida last year, its been a great boat. Being from the Midwest, I do miss the massive deckspace of our Sun Tracker Pontoon Boat, but this is fast and fun and cna go on on the ocean. Plus we got great money for our Pontoon, and used it as a Down Payment on a Key West, great video and great boats

We've had our 239 for a little over a year now and love it, just a few weeks ago we went about 20 miles offshore and caught a couple nice 15 to 20 lb grouper, very sturdy and capable boat for that 20 to 30 mile range.
We'll be taking ours 70 offshore

I've been seeing a lot of comments on it being a "wet" ride in open water do to the gunnels being lower than other boats. Can you comment on that?

This year I was looking at the Key West, Sportsman, Tidewater, and Seahunt.
In my opinion the Key West is the best if you're doing a lot of cruising in the intercoastal or going to sandbars. I say this bc of the amount of room you have in the back of the boat and it has a favorable layout. I don't recommend buying this boat if you are wanting to play in the open ocean and fishing as the gunnels are very low, and it's a wet ride.
Open Ocean / Fishing / Bahamas = Tidewater
Sandbar & Cruising = Keywest
Sportsman and Seahunt are both in the middle of the 2. They don't do anything great, but they do both.
I 100% agree my dad owns this boat and I take it offshore as much as I can’t it will surprise you as far as handling but it’s wet a great intercoastal/sandbar boat though
I like sportsman better for sandbar ive seen them with 2 sides entries the kids in that family love that side access

I have a 18 model Keywest Bayreef 210 which has been incredibly good for my needs! 5 years no stress cracks etc,,,, have friends with Pathfinders, sportsman’s, Nautic stars and tidewaters with issues in quality.

Hey there bro, i just happened to stumble upon this video. I work for a company that happens to cut the upholstery for Key West boats, hell i might have even cut the foam for your boat. But you sir are correct, every key west order i get, i get atleast 20 orders of 239 or 219 on that list.

Love your review and always comeback to watch the same video to get ideas for our new key west 239fs.. We are new boaters here in SWFL and learning so much. =). I have a few questions for you and would love to work with you in the future when we need anything for our boat... Where did you buy the cup plastic holders? @@cjahlert I can’t decide between a sea hunt ultra or key west fs…I feel like the KW is has a better layout since it has bench type seating in the bow…the sea hunt’s bow seating is oddly shaped where a person has to sit facing forward and not aft

Alfred are there company’s that offer aftermarket performance parts for the motor. High compression piston ,cam shafts and porting.

Check out the Twin Vee 240 Dual Console. About $115k with the 2 big engines. It is a catamaran and is super stable and hard to beat for the 💰 2 engines are better than 1 on the ocean. 💯
I would never go in the Ocean with just one engine, it's always good to have a backup.

How about the Yamaha 250 vs 300 for the 239? My understanding is you don’t get much more out of the 300…but my understanding is seriously lacking. 😅. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks,
Hi Jim, You won’t notice much difference from the 250 and 300. However most people with the 250 get the mechanical shifting version so it’s a huge difference when shifting from forward and reverse. The 300 is optioned with digital shifting.
Crazy I priced this boat in 2020 at a dealer it was 65k . How times have changed
As far as I'm aware Key West boats are in very high demand. I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure the wait list for a custom boat is somewhere around 9 months. Even late 90s and early 2000s models are selling for absurd amounts. On top of that Yamaha is way behind on producing engines. Someone we know bought a brand new Tidewater and he got his boat 2 months before his engine. Id imagine that ramps up cost too. In my opinion It's worth the high price tag though. These boats are grade a. We own a 99' 196 Bay Reef and it is the smoothest riding boat I have ever been in.
It really is insane to see where boat prices have gone in the last 2 years. The way this country is headed we can probably expect a crash soon and let's hope prices for everything correct themselves with new leadership.
If people keep paying the price keeps going up that's how business works people don't pay price comes down that's a big role that nobody talks about

I guess my 2022 219FS for $68k was a good deal with a hard top, trailer and a 250
68k?!?! I just took delivery of my 2023 219FS loaded with a 250 for $90k out the door with no trailer…..so yea you got a great deal!

Crazy price for that boat. It’s a mass produced boat that key west probably don’t have more than 60k in with 25k being the Yamaha on the back. Prices are so crazy now

Beautiful boat, I had to laugh at the " it won't break the bank" title when the boat is over 100k, that's about $1700/ month for a 6yr loan, I'm so out of touch with prices these days, I was thinking 50K Ha! beautiful boat though

I bought a Sea Craft like this fifty years ago with the biggest Mercury they made (225?) and it was like 14,500 out the door. Life was good then when a buck was worth something. :

Sir, if powder coat is applied right, it is real strong and will last much longer than any regular paint job. I build Race cares and we Powder Coat all the Rollbars.
