Another "cutscene" of getting a vision is Ayaka's teaser from a few months ago, it was a animated version of her vision story, winning against Ayato for the first time. In there, she was reminescing about her mother, her family. So yeah, visions are tied to memory for sure. Even Thoma got his vision after remembering his father's words which is extra meaningfull due to Thoma being in the Kamisato state in the first place because he got stuck in Inazuma searching for said father. Even mudane tasks such as Sucrose have memories tied with it, sucrose is fixated on her experiments because she wants to create her own paradise of sorts, something her childhood friends gave up on. Even Ningguang has ties to memories if you think about the reason why she wanted to sell the vision and why she rose to such position of power in the first place.
This is still suspiscious though, because the only source we have that alogenes can ascend to celestia is through Venti, but we also know Vanessa did not have a vision. Also there are many people in Teyvat who have big ambitions and yet they do not have a vision. Not only that, it also makes me wonder if the element of the alogene also has anything to do with their ambitions, and god how I want to know why Kaeya's is missing a pair of wings as if to represent a fallen angel.
If irminsul is giving the visions on an automatic algarithm, could celestia have altered the memories of the people of Teyvat to make them forget about it? Because think about it, if humanity found out visions are from their own power and ambition and have nothing to do with the gods, what are the chances they gonna commit another act of arrogation?

      2. Oh yeah about allogenes, only Venti said that to us, even zhongli and Ei don't share that. Hmmm I guess Venti still hiding more secret than we think
      3. About ambitions, I totally agree I about your take, like there many ambitious person out there but alas only few that get vision...I wonder if there is some restrictions there
      4. Kaeya vision huh, well I don't know either why it has missing wings 😅
      5. I currently suspect if Celestia kinda make sort of conspiracy so Human don't recognize their will...
      6. Lastly, I want you, both of us think, Who and when is vision firstly granted? Is it after archon war? Is it already exist in primordial one era? Or even is Khaenriah people has vision too? 🤔

I feel like visions are granted by PO or Celestia. But they are given based on whom the wielder embodies in correlation to the God. For example, Rana was gifted a Dendro vision in Sumeru because she embodied in a sense, the wisdom of the Aranara/Nahida and always helped children. We see Wanderer gain a Anemo vision in Sumeru as well, but this time it’s Anemo because Wanderer freed himself from being a puppet of the Fatui, and Venti is the God of Freedom, in addition to wind, you can say the wanderer wanders like wind. I pay attention to other characters visions and many characters share attributes with their respective God. Look at how Hydro characters embody Justice, we haven’t seen it yet but many of the current characters share an inkling of the Hydro archon’s beliefs.

Imagine if Visions are granted by the Primordial one and there shades since the Statue of the Omnipresent god is thought to represent Istaroth due to the many allusions to "Thousand arms to Thousand winds"
Perhaps offering the Visions was an attempt by Ei to ask favor from this higher power from Celestia.
And quit funny that Ei got her Prayer already answered 500 years before this with the Sakura tree freeing from the shackles of the heavenly principles.

A wild but perhaps not far fetched theory:
Visions are bestowed by the Primordial Ones. (The Dragon Gods that originally ruled Teyvat) Celestia and the Archons are actually the invaders that now rule Teyvat and the rule over Fate.
Visions are means for the old Gods to usurp the current Laws of Teyvat. *The Gnosis also being from the original rulers that Celestia confiscated and passed on to 7 Archons.

I'm pretty sure no one is granting visions but rather they are manifested from a combination of intent and memory. Just as the leylines overflow, memories are a form of actual power in Tehvat. Examples would be the Aranara, character Ascension and the loss of a vision comes with the loss of memories and desire.

@@hellozenn Counterpoint: (An exercise in logic)
If an outside being or force has the power to grant visions the following would therefore need to be true and thus can limit our search parameters:
      1) Said vision granter or granters would need to be omnipresent or fully aware of everything occurring within their area of control if more then one.
      2) The vision granter would need to be able to grant any type of vision. This imo rules out the Archons as they do not appear to be Omnipresent nor does it seem they have power over elements beyond their signature element.
Already this limits our potential vision granter to either, Celestia or a Shade of Phanes if they are not the same being. Otherwise it would be determined by a non-being function of the world itself whenever the proper conditions are met.
3)The proper conditions for a vision to be granted can be listed by comparing all vision wielders and how they obtained their visions. It is interesting to note that some visions were reignited and served new wielders when conditions were met.
      4) If a being grants visions and it is not an act of the natural world then that could imply a purpose. So perhaps we need to ask, What is the purpose of a Vision? How does such a purpose serve the design of an Omnipresent being? To answer we would need to analyze what Visions have been used to accomplish and assume such an Omnipresent being intended for such an outcome. It's not a far reach to say an Omnipresent being could be a master of Causality. As such we could imply that the Outcome of the world is already set and in order to change that Outcome certain individuals had their Fates altered by a Vision thus rendering a potential change in the fate of the world.
If the purpose of a Vision is to change Fate then 1 of the following must be true:
      A) The current Fate of Tehvat meets with the disapproval of its ruler and/or creator.
      B) Vision wielders were always fated to exist thus the changes they bring are already accounted for and so appear at critical points in time to solidify the timeline. (Ironically this point appears to nullify the impact of Visions as an Omnipotent being would know the future and see how a Vision would be utilized even before granting one.)
      C) If the Vision Granter is Omnipresent they must also be Omnipotent if their purpose is to garner a certain outcome. We know that Phanes experienced great fear when battling the 2nd who came thus fear implies lack of Omnipotence therefore the Vision granter is either not Phanes or Phanes saw the Outcome of their battle with the 2nd who came and knew their end and so created Visions to change that outcome. It's quite possible that the fear Phanes felt is merely a human projection to explain drastic choices beyond our understanding.
To finalize, it is a great deal more complicated to justify a Vision Granter as opposed to a natural function of the world. However it doesn't appear impossible but due to defined parameters it is either of the following:
      1) A natural function of an elemental world
      2) A power the Creator is using to alter future outcomes.
      3) A power the Ruler is using to alter future outcomes.
Such future outcomes I believe stem from the nature of what comes from outside the world aka the Abyss. It is the nature of the Abyss to be unknown and as such even Descenders could be classified as Abyssal creature's. Which is something else to consider.

    I have a "theory" here:
When the game ended, the traveler is going to become the ruler...?
Since in game, when you check out traveler's story desc., here's what it says:
The keeper is fading away; the creator has not yet come. But the world shall burn no more, for you shall ascend.
Here's the sentence, but translated from mandarin since I think it has a little bit more information:
The sustainer (notice! The unknown god claimed that she's the *Sustainer* of the Heavenly Principles! In mandarin, the unknown god's title is 天理维系者, and it literally says维系者 for the word sustainer!!) is dying, and the creator hasn't arrived. But the world won't burn again (again? Either it's talking about Khaenri'ah's destruction or... the world once burned?) , because you will be claiming the title of [god].
So yea :> It's just my theory tho

The Fatui so far hold 4 gnoses and none of their previous holders seem motivated to retrieve them, isn't this worthy of the Heavenly Principles' attention anyways? @tinnakitudsa2529 Год назад +2

I have some points to share. I need to first apologize for my bad English. It is not my native language.
    1) I think that the "second who came" is the one who gives the vision because of several things.
We need to talk about the Flower of Paradise Lost artifact, a primordial one's fear from Gnosticism reference. Please bear with me.
1.1) From Amethyst Crown of Flower of Paradise Lost artifact, it states that
"And though the invaders brought war to my former kin, they also brought about illusions that could break through shackles to the land."
"But the master of the heavens, consumed by fear for the rising tide of delusion and breakthroughs, sent down the divine nails to mend the land, laying waste to the mortal realm...".
It can be implied that the second who came brought a way for humans to ascend above Celestia.
1.2) I said that in 1.1) because in Gnosticism, Demiurge(primordial one) defects god. He has an inferior complex to other gods. He creates humans, which are also defective. He doesn't want a human to know that there is anyone above him(temptation). Later, Monad, the biggest god, feel sorry for a human that they are not pure as he and other gods. He sent someone(second who came in the genshin context) to give humans a way to ascend and be pure as him (I think this is a Vision in genshin). However, although Demiurge loves them, he doesn't want humans to climb above him and be pure(breakthrough). Therefore, in the genshin context, I think that the primordial one fights the second who came because he doesn't want a human to ascend. Although the second who came is defeated, he leave the way to ascend (vision) to human. This is why the primordial one was consumed by fear. This is why he sent nails to anyone that want to know about his origin and something above him. He has an inferiority complex.
In summary, the second who came is the one who give the vision from in-game reference and Gnosticism. Since the second who came is defeated, it needed to find a way to automatically grant the vision. It may be as you said, Irminsul by an automated program.
The next 2 points are purely speculation and my random thought.
    2) Irminsul's core function may be out of the control of Celestia because they are the world of Vishap before the primordial one. It has maybe been created by a god higher than the primordial one before he came to Teyvet. Therefore, he can't entirely remove granting vision function of Irminsul. However, they can still limit granting by adding the conditions, which brings us to point 3).
    3) I think that the condition for getting vision is to realize their constellation, which is their fate. Constellations and fate are tried to Irminsul and memory. I'm not sure I have seen somewhere that every human has their own constellations. Constellations of characters in the game are outline of they on life, such as Albedo(I saw some people analyze his constellations in the Chinese version and English versions to compare with his state of life, but I can remember where TT It is hard to decipher their meaning)( You may decipher constellation of some characters and compare them to their story.) Hence, constellation is outline of people fate. I think that one can break free from their own fate by only realizing they own fate and have enough ambition to overcome it. I think that when people live with "ambition" that aligne with they fate in their own constellations, they will get vision.
Thank for long reading. Please share your opinion. I would like to see want do you think.

      1. First and foremost, thank you very much for watching my video and spending your time to write the whole paragraph of inspirational ideas, I'm glad you share with me here. I hope you enjoy the rest of the video.
      2. Currently, I'm still learning about The Gnosticism, but yeah I can quite follow what you mean there.
      3. About The Second Who Came is the one granting vision. WELL...umm, i guess i can summarize to this : "The Second Who Came basically the one who brings trigger or seeds for human to ascend beyond Celestia". So technically, The Second Who Came not directly, but instead INDIRECTLY giving human chance or i should say potential will to beyond Celestia. Am I right?
      4. If we follow that conclusion then It most likely Vision already exist within or after the war between The Second Who Came, and that something to find out, Because so far...the vision holders that I know got their vision in the time after the Archon War. The oldest one that I know is Ganyu and she got her vision after the archon war. Now that needs to be answered...if The Second Who Came is the one that put the seeds for vision then why the granting vision system starting after the archon war? What happened between Second Who Came and The Archon War?
Well, that's quite interesting question to solve, especially for me.
      5. About constellation that you mentioned...well, it most likely towards to the idea that human or more generally, sentient being (because non human can get vision, like Scara, Adepti, Youkai etc.) can realize and deal with their own life aka fate. And that brings something to their WILL. Which may trigger the seed (the second who came legacy) aka granting vision system.
      6. I want to make clear that, this video specifically its conclusion, only based on Rana and Wanderer cutscenes. So yeah, I do not include all information about Vision, like i said at the end of video. The reason why i did not put that, it is because i want to focus only information we get in this Genshin version 3.3 update, which brings and gives us more idea that irminsul potentially has slightly (not as primer reason) connection to granting vision system. 😅
      7. About the one who talk about Albedo constellation, I think it is Ashikai or chill with aster, because i remember both of them talk about Albedo in their video list. If you dont know them, well you can search it in RUclips their name, they are famous among genshin lore/theory in RUclips. (joke aside, not me, i'm not that famous hahaha)
      8. Lastly, although you said that your english is quite bad, but in my eyes, yours tbh good at writing it here. I know this is out of topic but, i want to say that "the important thing about communication is both parties (you and me) understand each other, as long as they both understand then whether you are native or not, it is not a problem". English is not MY native language either, so yeah...i'm the same like you 😅

But if Celestia is ascending people with greater ambitiouns, why would they bother giving visions? Also if Celestia both ascend humans and give them Visions, why didn’t it give one to Vanessa? Irminsul is a tree that records everything happened on Teyvat so it has a more passive role.

I think you are right about irminsul but is wrong about Celestia having no control I have a feeling Celestia probably found a way to take control of the leylines possibly through the dendro archon irminsuls avatar

Well umm, what I stated in the video is "Celestia has no FULL control over Irminsul". It means that Celestia still have control over it but not as super user or only has a certain amount percentage of Irminsul. I guess when I said "has no full control" you might think it means Celestia doesn't have control.
Well, it is what it is.

What about Nahidas voice line about vision? I thought it confirms theory about some celestial creature give people a vision. Or how the heavens "grew eyes". But maybe it's just translate issue

    • @hellozenn
      @hellozenn  Год назад

imo, what Nahida said there doesn't confirm anything. It is just statement to test the traveler knowledge about vision and give us, as the player, an analogy to think about.
      here's the statement:
"The heavens grew eyes to behold the true beauty of the world below, but humans already have eyes to begin with. So, what is it they see when they look at the world not with their eyes, but their vision? You're very smart. Can you figure out what the answer is?"
      Also, thanks for the support.

The oldest known vision is that of Ganyu, and she got it at the very start of the Archon War.
Surely Celestia could have started giving them at the first minute as a way to prevent new gods from being born or whatever, but that's kinda contradictory to the theory that they are searching for god and the fact they're doing this war to keep only the strongest gods alive as they were in abundance back then.
This makes Celestia fall to the bottom of candidates for vision granters.
It could be irminsul but why now, why at a start of a random war? After all, isn't irminsul controlled by Celestia? How and why would it "plot" against them by making random people powerful?
This makes Istaroth, shade of the primordial one, the most likely culprit. The "Statue of The Omnipresent God" in inazuma is likely to resemble her, and now almost everything ads up if you think about it.
Her statue has eyes on its wings, and most visions were placed on them + in Chinese, Genshin's visions are called "God's Eyes" if I'm mot wrong. Raiden herself talks about "a higher power" with the small description "istaroth" in the dialogue at the end of her second story quest.
And after all, In Enkanomiya, an area that used to be on the surface in place of Watatsumi (which is an *INAZUMAN* island), we first learn about Phanes and the 4 Shades including Istaroth.
This theory that Raiden knows about her and the fact she was watching everything that happened with Scara, reading our thoughts and talking with us at the end of the 3.3 Sumeru story quest about it's events and all our concerns (plus the fact we see Scara get his vision in that very same quest) proves Istaroth is the culprit.
But now there's questions without answers:
Why does she give visions (since the archon war)?
Why did Raiden do the vision hunt decree and the whole statue collection if she knows about istaroth?
Was it a provocative way to "summon" her and have a talk, or is there something we don't know about that makes inazuma in danger of Celestia because of Istaroth?

      1. First of all thank you so much for watching my video and give interesting insights here.
      2. I also in my other note, consider about the statue of omnipresent God in Inazuma, which you already mentioned before with your explanation. yeah i agree if we follow that string then somehow it relates to the way visions distribute.
      3. Since we currently only have 4 nations in 7 nations total (not include Khaenriah here), it also has potential info if there are more oldest vision holders than Ganyu. We need more info about this (since you know there are also Venessa, Guhua and Kunwu which is in the Legend said if they get ascended to Celestia)
      4. We currently donot have enough info about connection between visions and archon war (especially archon war itself, it's still vague) but yeah I really appreciate your approach there, interesting.
      5. Again We currently have no info if Celestia has full control to Irminsul Tree or not, including my theory in this video. 😅
Lastly thanks. Here's 🍡 for you.

      About point 3:
Vanessa was alive during the time of the aristocrats in Mondstadt, which was after the archon war as Venti was an archon, I think Guhua and Kunwu have also ascended to Celestia aroung the same time as she did as they are also legendary, the only reasons why Vanessa's story is this popular and so sought to be preserved is because she is the one that ended The Lawrence Clan's tyranny, and not because they ascended a like thousand years earlier and therefore their tale gets "too old". Altho I do now know much about their tales, if Rex Lapis is mentioned even once in any form with any other name he has, then that event must've happened after the archon war.
Also, I would like to add that the next regions: Fontaine, Natlan and Snehznaya. They're based on France, somewhere in South America(most likely Mexico) and Russia.
Altho I do not know much about these countries' folklore, I think there's not a lot of long living divine creatures and therefore it's unlikely we'll get another Ganyu. Other than that, Snehznaya is focused on the war and its ordinary people just want to be safe from the Fatui and Celestia so they are definitely more focused on surviving than preserving cultural records. And Fontaine is focused on technological progress and the law, plus knowing how their archon thinks that her ideals have no stains according to the Hydro ascension gemstone, it's likely that the people have the same exact mindset and are only focused on science, completely overlooking legends.
      About your point number 5:
Knowing that Celestia themselves wrote Orobaxi's fate to die after he read Before Sun and Moon, and since they probably also made the entire fake sky of Teyvat for... reasons, I assume they're powerful enough gods to be able to do what Scaramouche did with ease and maybe do even more.

    • @hellozenn
      @hellozenn  Год назад

      Ah I see I see...
About respond no.4, just because people don't record that, it doesn't mean there's no something left about their legends, cause beside books and npc dialogues we also get weapon and artifacts lore.
Also European in general has many folklores tbh, that I can't mention one by one here, but yeah with the current Ganyu situation, you can use it as the point.
Respond no. 5, is it orobaxi die caused by Ei? I mean orobaxi itself that ask Raiden Ei to kill him (orobaxi)...well if they powerful enough about irminsul tree then they probably should already know about what Rukkhadevata, Ei and Scaramouche did, and not just sit there without any action which implies that this Celestia is not omni- as we assume.

Again about point 4. Altho artifacts and weapons do have stories, I never really saw them talk about the time that the tale is set in, as in what's the biggest historical event happened before that or around the same time as the story.
      - Orobaxi was inflicted with madness, which Celestia cursed him with. This caused the Serepnt God of Watatsumi to attack that island, and the reason why Raiden slashed him was because in the war the current tengu general at the time, close friend to Ei, died in her hands.
      - Altho we have no info of Celestia rn, there are some more important questions that need to be asked first, regarding variety of different topics plus as in the end the Tsaritsa will fight with Celestia.

      About response 5.
Scaramouche still had godly power in him when th change was done so irminsul probably didn't alert Celestia, but even if it did, they surely have as much power as Istaroth and can see his thought process and decided he wasn't dangerous enough.
Rukhadevata's existence is tied to irminsul's corruption, the reason she deleted herself in the first place was to stop it entirely. Not only does Sumeru have a new archon already, but Celestia thinks that she knows what's best for Irminsul, and even if they notice, they'll know she had her reasons to do so. After all, Celestia can't control everything if irminsul isn't healthy, and the world would probably collapse if it dies.
And about Ei, I really don't know how to explain what exactly happened and if it even violates the Heavenly Principles
