One of the best cover of an Elvis classic song Mystery Train! thank you Phil
With an amazing acoustic too...
I wonder how 50's classic would sound of they had such modern sound recording technology available back then.
Wow! Phil could have made it as a solo singer.
And Joe is probably our most underrated guitar hero. A living legend!!
Wow he's got a superb voice!! Really does the song justice. Very impressed! Band pretty darn good too. Ha just realised I commented on this already 3 years ago...I blame age!!
Elder vocalist with so young voice! And so similar to Elvis! Congratulations...
Elvis would approve.
Jesus, that drummer needs to cut an album. whoa!! When he opened the song I got chills
My FB buddy Ginny got a uke; then I recommended Joe Brown, and HERE WE ARE grooving along!!
You have the voice of elvis God bless you
Absolutely brilliant!!! , who would have thought that voice could come out this guy on the drums , just go to show that old saying is so true , never ever judge a book by its cover!! plus great guitar picking by Joe
That was amazing, let him sing more Joe.
What a great version makes you shiver ..
+Susan Laker Just picked this up, Susan...WOW!! With you...Joe Brown was a favourite band of mine during the mid 60s...Joe is a LONDON BOY, as am I...what about that drummer PHIL..? What a voice..! Loved this!
Hello from England
OMG The drummer - WHAT A GREAT TAKE ON MYSTERY TRAIN. Such talented guys who just love to entertain the audience and put their BODY AND SOUL into what they do. I love every song from ELVIS. He could have sang a Nursery rhyme and i would have loved it as well.
And what can you say about Joe. HE IS JUST MAGIC. I watch ;lots of videos in connection with ELVIS and sometimes i cry buckets as they make me think more of the time that has passed since ELVIS died I was 12
WOW!! THAT WAS SO GOOD!! I like Joe's version just as much as Elvis. Never though I would ever say that!
+Pearl Stanley ME TOO! Life is full of so many "SURPRISES"! I'm 77 now...Phil's version is "The Tops"! DANG ME!!!

Phil you legend!!
Absolutely xxxxxx brilliant. One of my Elvis tracks and this guy sure does do it justice. The musicians are of course wonderful. Joe of course is a top class Guitarist.
Phil just smashed it great job just love it
Watching all Joe's videos again in 2021 and this is truly an amazing singer by a very talented drummer/singer and Joe aint bad either lol
I'm LOVING that indeed! Aged 12/13 rockabilly and the early Sun recordings was my first love - and how can this version not get your hairs on your neck not standing up or tapping your foot at least? :-):-)
+Adrian Bryan ME TOO, Adrian!! I'm 77 yo now...NEVER tire of hearing stuff like this! Joe Brown is a wonderful talent, himself...as for "PHIL"...what a rendition...played Elvis' later..."PHIL" IS better...but then again, Elvis was the the instigator!! The ORIGINATOR!!
Great band sound n vocals
I so love this music goes back along time to hear from I've been listening to great music all my life and thanks alot my brother Trevor love the opportunity to hear about life goes on be happy and injoy
Excellent rendition of this song
Awesome performance
Simply outstanding, great vocals, Phil! Very talented band members.
When the news of Elvis's death was first known Joe Brown was asked to play a song on tv and he played You're Right I'm Left She's Gone from the Sun album which was a very correct choice.
At a great atmosphere!
Happy Birthday Joe love your music
This is terrific. My brother told me about this a few months ago and to check it out. What a surprise. I'm not saying it's better than Elvis' version, but hey, it's right up there.
Cracking voice... blimey did not expect that.. nice for Joe to have a go at Scotty too.... props to the double bass player keeping it simple.
Hi all - you can hear more of Phil Capaldi's vocals on a cd by Phil and another two of Joe Brown's band (unfortunately these guys have since passed away). The cd is called "Little Sister" by Big Bruvver. It is a great listen if you like rock and roll and has other Elvis tracks on it. Hope you get to hear it.
delstot1 thank you going to start looking for it who has passed away
Oh WOW! This was my first love....pure rockabilly music! And then I discovered girls....but the music remained! This is a fine rendition of a classic! Hats off to you fellas! Oh, and Joe...you're a legend!
WOW!
ABSOLUTE GREAT JOE AND THE BOYS ! MAGIC ! 2021 !
Well................I stumbled across this. Why is this guy not a star? terrific version of one of my all time favourites.
Blimey, Joe should let him sing more often.
A truly great artist, so very understated.
Fabulous rendition of this great old song
Joe Brown brilliant on guitar
great song , great vocal and guitar work , very very nice sound.
What a great version of this classic ! I love it !
Could listen to this all day
Holy deep fried Mars bars! This vid has made my evening! Best version I've heard since the King hisself. Everyone in the band was firing off the same boiler. The vocal had all the resonance of the Big El without mimicking - a rare feat indeed. Instrumentals hit the sweet spot over and over. Joe Brown please come to Australia and I'll chuck a Mars bar coated prawn on the barbie for ya!
Michael Goldberg j
Absolutely bloody marvellous ❤
You always know what you're going to get with Joe. Excellence.
Love it, my fave Elvis song
Great voice, beautifully done.
I have been lucky enough to see Joe and the lads a few times and they are all GREAT. So talented!
Very good Cover of a classic EP song...love it.
Great version
Really sensational...he's an Elvis fan, for sure!! What a "sound"!!
Wow, great job fellers, like, right directly from Memphis, Tennessee!
Yeah, What a JOB!! Joe, on guitar, does a nice job...then there's "PHIL" on vocal...V'ROOM!!
So glad you picked this up, "Banjer". YAHOOO!! Good on ya...headin' for the sack now...here in OZ it's close to 1. 00am...gotta get to the s/mkt early...it's still "sale time"! Take it easy, y'all..!
So TRUE..."London Memphis" stuff...GO!! Joe toured with Eddie Cochran and Gene Vincent thru the UK during the late 1950's...so sad about Eddie...saw Gene on stage, in London, 1964. He was terrific!!! RIP
Ditto that mate. pure class!
Absolutely, mate...YEP!!
One of the Best!
Love the double base in that video.
Magnifique !!!!!!!!!!!!!
+Christian Chapotat

I saw Joe and his band at the Epsom Playhouse they were Brilliant.
Brilliant, one of my favourite versions, on par with the version on the Mick Ronson Memorial Concert show ( David Bowie Guitarist 🎸🙏) with a host of stars doing it💎☘️
I can’t stop watching this video just loving it 👍🏻
I play it often
I've got versions by Elvis and Rick Nelson; this cracking version stands comparison with both.

This was the B side of Heartbreak Hotel,on the 78 disc I had,way back when!
@Madam Cyn Definitely was on my 78.Actually, the one and only Presley disc I ever bought,so no mistake.
Maybe there are/were some alternative pressings out there!
@Madam Cyn Sorry. It's long gone. Some secondhand shop is sitting on a small fortune then, assuming it hasn't got smashed by now,!
superb
Wow!!!!!
wow, excellent
Joe is the reason i play guitar...not very well, but Joe I thank you.!
Love you joe ….god your a treasure..
Great singer -sounds like Elvis. I saw Joe Brown and Billy Fury in Gloucester (Regal cinema) in about 1961. Joe was great but it was impossible to hear Billy Fury because of the screaming girls. Great times; great music.
Hey, John V...YUP...totally AGREE! The crap these days, is just THAT! It's all perfect teeth, flat stomachs...perfect figures...NO voice... that one understand WHAT the hell they're singing about = very mediocre to the sounds you and I appreciated during the 50s and 60s...I'm coming up to 80 now...my wife and I still jive to the R&R music..."BILLY" was the BEST R&R + Rockabilly singer out of the UK! Must say...I liked Cliff R's early stuff, too... I'd be interested to hear back...I'm now living in Australia...since '82...Take it easy buddy..!
That was simply amazing! Love it.
great rendition
WOW WOW WOW !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
From a mad keen 74yo Aussie fan.
Is Phil related to Jim Capaldi of Traffic?????????????????
Yes, he is John!! Pssst...I'm in OZ, where are you..?
his brother mate.
great version of the the junior parker classic
BLOOMIN' 'ECK! FANTASTIC!!! I ALSO didn't know that Joe was SO GOOD on the guitar!!!!! I am known as "THE POOR MAN'S HANK MARVIN!!!!!" As Eric and Ernie would say, ALL THE RIGHT NOTES, BUT! NOT NECCESSARYLY(CAN'T SPELL!!!), IN THE RIGHT ORDER!!! YA CAN'T BEAT A GOOD....DOING IN THE SHOW!!!!!
Very special entertainer, one of the best! George. Harrison thought so.
💥🌟WOW🤩
Decent voice
