- Hey guys! Well, I had a pretty hectic week getting the 1959 Plymouth Fury ready for inspection, but we made it! Some leaks fixed, and the brakes gone through to get the car operational again, and a new full dual-exhaust to make the right sounds! We'll have a look at some of the repairs and go for a much-anticipated drive! Then, Jim stops in to check out something that arrived in the mail for him, and finally we get another look at Agent 0826's 1972 Dodge Dart 340 Special as Paul gets it ready for the road!
Thank you to everyone who ordered a 1960 Fury T-shirt, our best-selling shirt ever! They are being printed now and will ship immediately when they are finished; I can't wait to get mine!
Oh! I do not have a Telegram account or any bullshit contest going! Do not respond to any of these "contest winner" replies; they are a scam.

Cheers happy Saturday y'all!
Well, do you have too many nice cars to drive in the summertime?
I see two unmentioned cars there. Same year as the wagon? And DS parts? Been waiting for that one to be finished.
Well you are out driving Miss Dasy O l meant to say out driving Miss Freakers in your 1959 Plymouth today.....Thanks Scott ans agents + 🐩 👍
Shoe🇺🇸
That 59 is a beauty
Looks awesome seeing those fins coming out of the building
sounds just right too
Swinger is a nice solid car,
runs really good as well
needs a tidy
The Cleaning Out My Basement Channel--priceless!!😆
It's a sad time of the year when car enthusiasts who live in a 4 season climate tuck away their cars for the next 5 or more months. Two things help to keep our sanity, a project to work on and watching others on the Tube work on theirs Thank you Scott and company for providing content that helps winter go by that much quicker and a few laughs along the way! 😆
Yes, major agreement Glenn! Scott's weekly energizer video keeps us all in better spirits all year round, really, but especially for those of us in the Winter states.
The world 🌎 was a better place when that Plymouth was new Scott . 🇦🇺👍🏻
The 59' is a time capsule on wheels, absolutely amazing; and seeing her gliding totally solo on the road, with no other vehicles to share it, through the beautiful fields of Alberta - just stunning - and very nostalgic for us old guys. Thanks for putting it all out there for us.
Yup... even the roads look like 1959 roads.. 😁
5:49 I hope you are going to keep that AM radio and keep it in fully working order.
Happy birthday Scott. Here's to another trip around the sun. Cheers. I was 6 years old when the yellow Fury was new. I remember when they were on the road, but they were never plentiful even back then.
Well what did we learn from this week's episode? That you can always rely on Ashley to lend a hand and offer some sage advice, helping on the Fury's test run, a car that is superb. I learnt that across the pond US cars of this era are often seen as flamboyant and showy, but if CWM has achieved anything it's brought realisation that these beasts from the 50s and 60s had style and substance. Capable of long journeys in comfort, quietness and roominess, unlike anything in the European mass market. So now Scott you and Frankers have 2 fine Fury's to choose from! Enjoy. As always there was so much else, and vicariously joining in as you and the Agents chew the fat and lark about talking and ribbing each other while enjoying cars, as you were at the GCFCE as the boys sorted their Dodge. Cheers
Scott: A very touching oade to peak Chrysler enginerding. It was done so right that it is just shy of actual fucking Magic.
And a Happy Birthday SCOTT 💟💟💟💟
Holy shit! Tom said something genuinely nice about something, AND RIGHT AT THE BEGINNING OF THE EPISODE!
The Plymouth looks amazing Scott. Agree the dual exhaust was definitely the go. I also love that green glass. I have that on my 1960 Plymouth Fury sedan. I wish they put that on new cars - actually I wish they made new cars and not just SUVs.
That yellow Fury must be the best original example in the world. Just incredible.
That car is Awesome Hi Scott and Dean love ya Frankers 💟💟💟💟 Happy Halloween 👻👻👻
I really should get out more...
Dave: Where would you go? It's a jungle out there--stay home and binge watch Coldwarmotors!😆
If I get anymore green with Fury envy I may find myself in a Marvel TV series...
Me too David! I should hang in Alberta with these jokers too! Now you have to make me feel Really old by restoring the only Mopar I ever owned, a Dodge Omni. GLH,!
Yay, on the road!
That '59 sounds like a brand new car!
The '59 looks good in the sun.
Happy Birthday, Scott!
Happy birthday to you I enjoy the 59,60 Plymouths
Happy Birthday Scott
Good to see you all again.............
Happy Birthday, have a great Halloween. Keep Frankers from the ghoules. see ya next week, thanks and cheers.
Looking forward to the 59/60 Fury comparison. The best thing about keeping a car original/restored to original is the ability not to just own a car that existed before you were born or old enough to drive but to get the feeling of how it was like to drive these cars like the original owners did. The big difference is back then cars were getting better every year and you were excited to be a part of the "current years" new style and technology. Today it is about the history of that period and feeling a part of that period and appreciating those cars for what they were in a world that has changed a little too much for most of our liking. Since I can't own as many cars as I would like, I enjoy my large collection of dealer brochures from 1950 to 1970 that also provides a level of enjoyment of what it was hoped those cars back then would bring to a prospective owner. Great show. Thanks
Again another good exhaust choice, nice quiet duel exhaust for the '59 Fury that does gives it some rumble form the outside, quiet on the inside..Just like the gorgeous '60 Fury!!
Have a great weekend!!
Love it Scott. Great vid! I kept seeing this Fury sitting right there while you worked on the '60 and wondered what the hell are doing? Go drive the yellow one! The Swinger brings back great memories too! My first MOPAR was a '70 Swinger 318. I fiddle fooled with it, bored it, cammed it, put 340 heads on it, dual exhaust.....It was a sleeper. Sold it to a friend, got wrapped around a tree. Good times!
Glad the '59 Fury brakes worked out without too much effort. That's often a job where an adjuster is seized or a bleed nipple is rounded off or broken and the amount of work involved escalates quickly.
Loved the drone and sky shots from the test drive.
Is the Edelbrock carb on the Dart a clone of an original Carter type, or have they taken the basic design and developed it further?
Got some really awesome video on that car the scenery in the woods driving country roads really a credit to the car. 👍👍
Scott what i think sets CWM apart from other channels is that it seems like you focus on the technical details in a way that doesn't overexaggerate or try to hide them. You do a great job of telling what the 59 needs to succeed and we see the results from that. Congrats on getting it done.
Since I do mostly Willys and Studebakers I have such a hub puller. Mine is old and indestructible. I always grease it with every use and clean it afterwards. Made in U.S.A. My Willys Panel Delivery was painted with Centari in 1985. Glenwood Green.
fantastic monumental amount of first class work, really enjoy. rover for Laura now
That 59 is my favorite shade of yellow. Like the first rays of sun in the morning. That is the biggest thing I miss about the car company's in the 50's and 60's. You had 30-40 different shades of color to chose from. Today we are lucky to have 2 colors besides basic white, black, gray, silver, and red. In the 60's you had 3 shades of brown for goodness sake. I love Jim's 41 shine runner. Open the trunk to find 100 pounds of yeast and some copper line. LOL. Give Frankers a few thumps on the ribs for me.
Looking forward to seeing more. 😎👍❤✌ cheers.
This is a awesome video brother hanging out with some car family is truly incredible well done. I think just being a part of that in the video is sweet ty 😊.
Dome light doesn't work, no wonder it was scrapped ☠️☠️☠️ just kidding, it's a nice ride 👍👍👍
Sweet! You really have awesome Mopars (all of them) Scott!
Oh man! I'm not sure which Fury I like better now. Such a nice body style and color!
What a nice Fury! Even the dashboard has fins!!
Happy birthday Scott been a fan for a great while still my favorite channel so deserving of recognition.
That definitely is a nice birthday present for yourself but you made a promise to yourself you wouldn't drive her until the other Plymouth was finished. And you did it, and you did a honorable job at that too. congrats Scott. congrats. Definitely show us more updates on this Dart. Its such a gem. I love it.
Nice backdrop in the intro, lol.
Congratulations on plating the 59. It looks and sounds SO good.
Happy birthday.
That Dart is sweet.
Not sure which Fury I like more, both awesome cars.
What a piece. We just didn’t know what we had. It’s a shame that we can’t turn back time. Thanx for sharing.
Happy Birthday Scott !!!......I wish you the coming together of great friends, great food and beverages, and wonderfully great cars.........
You do beautiful work!
Any test drive that you don't need to call an ambulance, a friend to bail you out or your mom to pick you up from is a win! As long as it meets that criteria you can fix everything else 😁
“I guess so, i don’t know, I have no fuckin’ idea?” - Sage advise from Tom
Wow the plate numbers are only 6 apart from one another. There were 5 other historic plates issued in between this 59 and your 60. I have to say that I love the drives south of Wye Rd and out to Cooking Lake the most.
That Dodge Dart starter sound used to be called the "Highland Park Hummingbird", after the location of Chrysler's engineering department.
Well, I've said it before and I'll say it again in the future too - bloody awesome show this week, Scott. Love that '59 of yours, mate. She's a true testament to someone's love over the years. Even as she were stored for so long, someone must have loved her a lot to keep her somewhere where the weather and the rodents would not bother her and she'd one day see the sun again as she did when the original owner drove her to town and around. If people were not in such a hurry to get places and drove with the sedate pleasure that such vehicles engender, then there would have been no real need for over-the-top electronic wizardry and safety systems out the wazoo to keep modern drivers in their lane, on their side of the road, stopping in time and hitting them in the face and ribs with an explosively-inflated plastic bag when they crashed. In my opinion, a centre barrier on multi-lane highways is safety enough if everyone drove to the road and weather conditions.....but I digress.
One day the world will run out of petrol and the sound of the V8 will cease to be heard on the roads unless someone can get Hydrogen (or similar) fuelling working for internal combustion engines, but if it it doesn't happen, hopefully the loss of the classic sound will be after you and I are round to see it happen and we can just continue to drive around in these beautiful cars showing people what they are - and will be - missing if someone doesn't come up with an idea soonish. By the way - as to the agent who popped round and had a ride in the '59 to get pizza and such and ended up working on the brakes with you - I totally agreed with his attitude. If someone I knew had a beautiful beast like any of your Furys and we'd struck the same thing on a drive, I would (and indeed have) happily sat out and worked on it with him. What could be more fun than making a beautiful car just that little bit better for a mate to enjoy taking on another drive?
I have a solution to Jim's issue with the wiring on one of his fleet. He says he's got no brake lights or indicators, right? Simple fix - put a BMW badge on the vehicle. People don't expect BMW drivers to indicate or brake anyway, so win-win, eh? As to the VW "heater improvement", that was a brilliant gift and (I'd say) by the look of it, a very rare piece of kit indeed. I bet Jim is really stoked!
Rapt to see the Dart sounding sooooo much better with a decent carb sitting on its intake. Don't get me wrong - I love the original carb, but if she broke, she needed changed. The vehicle has such a beautiful lope to its idle.....and I'd still love to see it in my driveway! Loved listening to the humour and bullshittery that you and your mates exchange. It reminds me that it's a universal language, spoken by car enthusiasts worldwide, with no malice or ill-will intended. We all love old cars and we can have a laugh about the highs and lows of ownership, features dubious and otherwise and products of yesteryear with a passion and humour that transcends make and model. Sure - we all have our favourites, but at the end of the day, we can all appreciate a well-kept, well-preserved or well-restored example of any......as long as it is at least 40 years old....and preferably older.
Thanks for making my day. All the best
Happy Birthday Scott and Congratulation on crossing the Finish Line with both of the Furys! Once you finish up your part of the Rover and get the SM moved I'm looking forward to seeing what the next major project is. Take care!
Congratulations Scott on getting the 59 and the 60 on the road before the snow flies!
What an amazing survivor that 59 is, true time warp condition. Enjoy it as much as Frankers does
The '59 is sweetie Scott! beautiful! Francine loves the windows too. yep, maintance is primary to save cars.
Love it! All the guys are good friends -each with their own passion! Saturday fun to look foward to for us watchers! Thanks again Scott. Rich
Cheers Scott - the ‘59 is special! I think a “59 vs ‘60 Fury side-by-side is a great idea - rare chance to compare two cars with the same drivetrains, but different body construction. 2022 a good year - two plated, eh? How about plating a ‘58 and a ‘61 in 2023? You and the agents had a lot of yuks in this installment, all the best, and happy birthday!
Glad to see the 59 plated and hope that you start driving it some more next year. Happy Birthday Scott and hi Frankers!
Happy Birthday Scott from a fan in Ontario!🎂🇨🇦
Scott: I've been mixing Dupont (Axalta) for the last 34 yrs and I was mixing Centari up until 3 yrs ago. My hot rod was shot in Centari 34 yrs ago (orange full of lead) and is still holding up. I mixed two qts and threw it under the workbench before they took it off the market. If there is ever a nuclear event I will be safe in the Coupe with all that lead paint!
I have a puller given to my father and I when he was restoring a 1950 Plymouth years ago. It was an original puller from a Dodge dealer / mechanic . After the Dodge was sold I discovered it is a great puller for front drive axles rusted into hub bearing splines. Always think of both my father and Bill when I use it.
Yin Fury = ‘59
Yang Fury = ‘60
Cheers from Alabama.
Hi, Scott I'm very happy that the '59 Fury is inspected and tagged. You will do a great job on comparing both Fury. I finally got the colour wiring chart for the '60 Fury. I will mail it to you next week. I hope in next spring to see you and other agents ride around in the '72 Dart Swinger. Take care Scott, my best wishes to everybody.
Recently found a hub puller at a pick. Several other must have items as well....like a late 20's valve grinder, ridge reamer and numerous other automotive ephemera I couldn't resist. As always I enjoyed the episode, hopefully I can get back on project 46 ford sedan soon. It currently resides in the father in laws shop with the body ready to pick off the frame to do some sheet metal work. Cheers agent's 😎
I love your intros 👍
Two phenomenal cars! Wow! I am getting the entire back story on the '60 Fury, and I have to say I don't know anyone who would be so nonplussed about taking it on and the crazy hand-built compound curved parts - Insane! Cool!
What's this fury got, a 318!
Happy Birthday Scott!!! Another beautiful automobile! Enjoy your channel alot~
It's a true mopar love how it looks nice work!!!!
I hope you didn't expect that act of defiance to go unnoticed by the Ministry Of Love.
On a more positive note, congratulations on getting the '59 plated!
Happy birthday Scott. Cannot think of anything that would be a better gift than having that beauty plated and on the road. Cheers!
Hi Scott great job ? You must come to the uk the festival of speed you guys would love it.
Congratulations Scott, You have two beautiful Plymouth Fury's. Good job, the rebuild you did on the 60 to bring it from where it was to what it is today is truly amazing.
Another beautiful example of the creative magic of Virgil Exner and his "Forward Look" designs. By the way, Happy Birthday, Scott. Sounds like you share your birthday with my late father, another Halloween baby.
I'm so happy for your scott! All the fury madness :) i'm gonna have to ask my step mom what hers was, she had a fury 3? I think? was that a thing? All i know about old chryslers is what I've learned from watching these videos over the years. They are both absolutely gorgeous man! HAPPY BIRTHDAY MY FRIEND!!!
Last november, I sold a house I had been working on since 2017. It had been a nightmare, but in the end, I came out ahead, and then managed to snag a nice job this past summer, so I went a couple weeks ago and splurged, got my first newish car with a payment at 37yo. 2015 Toyota Tundra Platinum. I've had probably 40 or more cars in my life, this one cost more than all of those combined LMAO. Now... I just need to figure out how to remove the carmax sticker and replace it with a cold war motors sticker ;) But it's black onyx, so like black with a blue flake or some sort of metallic? it's beautiful, but I'm watching youtube videos and buying all sorts of stuff trying to figure out how to keep her nice and clean! never cared about my paint before!!! Why oh why did i buy something shiny!?!?!? LOL and with leather too, something else to learn how to take care of!
Congrats again buddy! I'm SOOOOO happy for you!!!
What a nice car in the 59. Will be great to see Jim's Continental going back together. Those fellows love their Darts. Driving Ms. Frankers. She looks good in a Fury.
Mostly Play today and not so much work. Sweet! The 59 is the driver. All this time you resisted. I get it, the 60 Fury was in labour for a long time.
I like Jim's Merc. 😈 Evil.
The 340 Dart is a true street fighter. Those engines are strong and fast. Drive that car and enjoy it. Why else have it.
Cheers 🇨🇦
Was thinking about Jim all last week when I was playing with a customer's mk2. Glad to see the 59 on the road. The Dart is an animal! Thermoquad humor👍
Like you I would have a hard time walking by the 59 without feeling the need to turn a key.. next year should have a road trip video.... toss a few miles on it and go look for a 58 and 61 to add to the collection lol.. next up the 37 by chance? Just curious if you might have forgotten about the other cherry in the garage. Thanks for the videos Scott... much appreciated
Happy birthday Scott...whenever it is or was.
Happy Birthday! What a great video to watch, loved seeing that buttery yellow Fury finally frolicking in the fall leaves with Frankers. I hope it will get out on the road more next year after the snow clears :)
Gettin the blue Fury done kinda gave a 2 for 1 win...you now have 2 really nice cars tagged out. congratulations
I use Blaster brake cleaner on brakes and everything that stuff works great on cleaning anything if it has oil or that on it spray it down and the oil residue comes right off it's like 14 bucks for 2 cans but I have been buying by the box now since I use it in the shop a lot
The weather here in Ontario is great it's t shirt weather and going to be the first Halloween when it's not cold, windy and raining that I can remember. If all winter was like this I would not be mad at all.
Happy Birthday Scott!! Just love your Mopar collection.
Great work on a great car--again! Congrats, and thanks for posting this.
By the way, I am glad yourevgoing to have a great fabulous birthday
Dean is King, I have only 1970 Fury its ok here in Finland.
Paul's Dart is just amazing...I love it!
The 1950's classic cars were so good that many models still run on 2024. Today's expensive throw away cars don't even reach the 100,000 miles mark before breaking down. Thanks.
An abundance of serious accomplishments, way to go gentlemen! Enjoyed every bit, specially you all admiring the Swinger's nice idle, a great "Canadian Moment". Thank you.
Scott, I'm sure you already know this, with the '59 Plymouth, the speaker cone might be dry rotted by now...I know it can be re-coned, but I don't know who does it, and how much it would cost..
That '59 Plymouth is a sweet ride, and so is your '60 Fury!!!!
Franker's is enjoying the car ride and taking in all the scenery....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOTT!!!!
Remember, this is 1959 and as far as I know, most speakers were not using foam for the surrounds, but a wax impregnated paper suspension if that so likely it may be OK but good to check it out to be certain.
Happy birthday Scott cars look awesome great job thanks for Sharing.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, SCOTT! That is a well deserved present for anyones birthday, but especially for you after all the work you did on the 60. always did like the finned Plymouths.
that great you got the ol 59 tagged and cruzing and jim can stay warm. great sound from the swinger .she will be nice all cleaned up. fun time out. cheers guys.
Thanks, Scott. Nice to see the 59 on the road now. Good looking classic Plymouth.
It's very hard to choose what Fury is my favorite! I would lean towards the '60 only because of the story behind it. How it rose from the ashes. Just watching you drive the '59 I could actually feel how solid the car is. The color combo really adds to it. You are so lucky to have those open roads to cruise these classics down. Here on Long island, NY, you'd soon have a vehicle crawling up on your rear bumper! Jim's Mercury is a dream car for me. That era car just does it for me, and especially all original.
There's a story behind the 59 too ... but as far as I know Scott has told it on this channel yet
@@robmacdonaldonline Ah! It's funny, I've been following Scott for years, but I don't recall the first time I saw the '59. It's like it just showed up on the channel!
Happy Birthday Scott!
Great show and Happy Birthday Scott! Cheers from Lubbock!
Drive both, cars were built to be driven!
Great to see, looking forward to seeing the '59 and '60 on the road together
Looking at the back of the Plymouth for the rocket motor. take wheel cylinder apart lightly use Emory cloth with brake fluid to clean piston area n piston. 2 new 1959 and 1960 Plymouths back on the road. Awesome accomplishment. 72 Swinger is the coolest ride.
Great seeing the 59 making it to the finish line...snow coming, rehearsals: no pressure...twins' Dart is pure fun times.... Happy birthday!
