I don’t know why, but I really appreciated the transparency in you mentioning that your new chrome polish collection may show more nail imperfections because of how reflective they are. I have ridges in my nails and I have this issue with certain polishes showing the ridges. Thank you for being honest and setting a good precedent on how people should promote their own products or lines. It makes me want to buy the nail polish anyway just because I want to support you!
I also like that she chooses to use it as an opportunity to educate and gives tips on how to make it look better.
My ridges just come out different colours with multichromes, like shifty stripes 😜

I really appreciate Cristine bringing on swatchers with dark skin tones, it's hard to tell when the polish will look like on my since Cristine is quite pale
A friend had these allergic reactions on his hands, and he discovered it was the nickel in his gym equipment (nickel is known for causing allergic contact dermatitis). Could it be that your gym equipment is causing it? Perhaps after handling it, and then touching your eyelids?
There was a comment on the previous video suggested that Cristine have her tap water tested for the metals she's allergic to because the poster was allergic to her water for that reason.
Can we just appreciate how hard she works on these?! I bought a couple of her sets and they were TOTALLY worth it. Not only does she make sure her stuff is high quality she also releases sets one after the other even if she is busy in her personal life. A very hard working sock if i do say so myself.

Totally, you can tell she's found her passion again. Everything has thought and love put into it. Even the bottles are thought about. I love the rubberized handle of the brush. Its so much easier to grip with wet nails.

Try that with gel polish and enjoy the intense contact allergy that you get that’ll eventually swell your fingertips and peel up your nails.

I done that with gel and you can avoid that by taking a clean up brush or a normal paint brush and clean in the gel before you cure the gel

You can always buy liquid latex to do around the nail. It works really well. (I can attest lmao I'm horrible at painting my nails!)

I think chameleon coat is the most gorgeous shade I've ever worn. The video doesn't even do it justice, the shift is almost bronze-ish in some lights. It's SO good. I have cat's evasion too and I love it as well.

Doubt Cristine will ever read this among the other comments, and I know she doesn’t want non-medical opinions, but a friend of mine had similar reactions but on her temple rather than eyes and only during her period. It turned out to be a reaction from taking Midol for her period symptoms. No doctor could ever figure it out after tests upon tests until she just put two and two together. Unsure if you take any pain meds but could be something like that if you do!

That could be it. My mom never used to be allergic to aspirin but all of a sudden one day she started having reactions to it. She stopped taking it and the swelling stopped.

I did the same test 3 weeks ago! Turned out I do have a contact allergy for HEMA. Now the only gel polish I can wear without reaction is CND Shellac 😢

I always use jolifin Schellack to thicken my weak nails. Then I put holo taco on top of it.
Best for thin and breaking nails.
Maybe you can do the same?
Shellac directly on nail first, some holo taco and clear shellac again?
I'm pretty sure there's other gel brands that don't use HEMA? you'd just have to carefully check the ingredients and always avoid skin contact
wiggy Saurus I am also allergic and even if I don’t have contact with my skin, I still have an allergic reaction, and it’s hard to find any gel polishes without since they’re all UV activated :( but dip powder works good for me so far.

Hue There by Sally Hansen is also another black holo with bigger scattered holo sparkles and a magenta “hue” to it at a certain angle almost like a multichrome and a holographic. It’s also about $8. I own the Color Club Black Magic and it’s a beautiful linear holo 😁

I haven't painted my nails for 3 years and I keep my nails as stubby as possible. I always end up scratching the polish off if there is a Single Chip because the imperfection gives me anxiety lol. but for some reason I love watching all of Simply's videos and it makes me want to do my nails 😂
HoloTaco nail polish is pretty sturdy. If you add two coats of a top coat it takes me over a week for it to start chipping. I use a regular base coat. HoloTaco also has a long lasting base coat that works well.
@@caitlinhs9670 I saw the long-lasting base coat when I was admiring the new colors on the website! My husband told me to sleep on it and then decide if I ACTUALLY want to paint my nails... just ordered missed shift and cats evasion on my lunchbreak 💅
My nails are always on the short side. I usually make sure they have just enough length to wrap the tips as Cristine recommends. And I can say the long lasting base coat is good. The longest I've had it stay on without chips (because I myself removed it to file my nails that got too long for me) was basically a month. That time I used long lasting base coat, two coats of Play Rosé, one coat Linear Holo Taco, and two coats Super Glossy Taco. It's truly the best nail polish I've ever owned and worth the price.

Yup, me. Then immediately questioned my judgment since 90% of multichrome polishes are ugly green-browns in real life. Had to check the video to see if I made a dumb mistake. Much relief was had. At worst the green might end up a little muddy, the rest look great.

I just wanna say that your polishes are PHENOMENAL Christine. I bought some for my nieces for Christmas last year and ordered one for myself, thinking if I didn't like it I'd just give it to them to share. Well I ended up LOVING them and since then your polishes have become my favorite among my vast collection of store and Amazon bought polishes (tho small by comparison to yours). The quality of ingredients shows you are doing something different than the already established giants in the beauty industry, and for my hard earned money, I appreciate that and dont mind spending the extra dough for your product. Your color and topping offerings are always so well thought out and I appreciate that as well. I missed the first box.... I still regret it to this day. I somehow did not press to complete my transaction, the website got hung up. I regret it to this day. I always log in at release my time to ensure that I get any and all boxes since.

Hooooo, just ordered the set cause I'm a sucker for duo/multichromes. If you do more of these please consider making a bronze-blue shift! I had one I adored from a Sephora OPI polish sampler pack but didn't know the name of which I have been struggling to replace for literal years.
I know right!!! I love multichrome however, I'm picking with the colors. I picked 2 that definitely hit my favorite category she needs to do a silver multichrome too or the many more combinations 😬 that's infinite.
