@@victormunhozzz you thought so? I found it really problematic. Gringo é qualquer pessoa de fora do Brasil, não só "brancos". Japoneses são gringos, egípcios sao gringos, até mesmo pessoas dos outros países da LatAm são gringos pra gente. E deu a impressão de que na América Latina não existe gente branca.
Fora que ela falou "I don't speak Spanish". I mean... It LITERALLY has "BRASIL" written on it, and even when she checked Google it translated from Portuguese, so it wouldn't hurt to correct herself. I'm usually the last one to complain about these little things, but as a Brazilian living abroad, guess I'm just sick of people thinking we speak Spanish (or Brazilian) and Buenos Aires is our capital.
Also, I find Cristine incredibly smart and she's usually so respectful. Hence my surprise.

The first three don't really do much. Water marks are easy to remove (when companies even bother to). But, if you insist on adding a watermark (sure, can't hurt, even if it does jack all) then you can also add your name to the meta data. If you have photoshop its fairly easy and you can google tutorials online.
I dont think "calling people out" really does anything unless you're a massive influencer.
Remaining respectful is key, though. Some folk will try to paint you as the bad guy, easiest way to avoid that is to not look like a bad guy to begin with.

Gringa also means "cracker" or "white trash" in the context of North American hate words. It matters not just who the speaker is, but also who the listener is. Re: Salons printing out thumbnails... coming from a graphics person, I totally get how this happens. Yeah, some might be deliberately ripping it off, but unfortunately, due to either/both lack of education or willful ignorance, there are many people in business that think it is completely acceptable to utilize Google image search as a free-for-all stock image catalog. They search "dip powder nails," find that thumbnail in one scroll, see the shiny image and the text, and in their minds, the ad is done! It goes to a designer or printer who doesn't know or care that it's not their content, gets a resolution boost, and gets printed. It's sad, but terribly common. I've had to explain too many times, "No, it's not free just because you got it from Google."

Yeah... Google only finds pictures made by other people, it doesn't make free photos for you. This woman who stole the pictures threw away the mail in which his lawyer explained she has to pay to use those pictures because she thought it was spam because "those pictures are from google!" She refused to pay, and during the case kept saying that she shouldn't have to pay because those pictures were on google and how was she supposed to know they were from this guy (ehm, the giant watermark you cut off maybe?) She was so pissed that she couldn't just delete the picture and everything was alright, she had to pay for years of use and was pissing ad moaning about it the whole time.
