It’s probably because they „devalued“ shinies too much. Everyone left right and Center had a bunch of shinies and I think they didn’t want that to happen.
@@orkanes2 Gamefreak does not care who has shinies and who doesn’t. Some people hold shinies at a certain “value” and hold their shinies over other people’s heads like a trophy, which is silly, because they are just Pokémon the are a different color than normal. However, the game is just meant to be fun and shinies are just one of the many aspects that make Pokémon Legends Arceus enjoyable. I don’t mind the new update’s changes, and sure this will make shiny hunting more difficult but it’s not like you can’t still try to get that shiny you want. Thanks for reading my TedTalk
4:32 save by the gate when you have multiple massive mass outbreaks, and if one you decide to go to doesn't have any outbreaks you want, you can reload to the village and check the other ones
What I've been doing is saving at camp and then clearing out each outbreak. When I come to one with a shiny or alpha I want, I reset, and go straight to that outbreak. Clear it out and save. Then I know the first ones I did have nothing and can ignore them and keep checking. Can check all of the pokemon in every outbreak this way.
Uh I don’t know if this was mentioned, but I have a theory. I was doing a Gastly massive outbreak, and when the second wave happened, a shiny alpha appeared. I reset my game because I wasted all my jet balls. But when I went back, the second wave didn’t have a shiny. I didn’t change anything, I caught everyone and still no shiny. So I reset and caught every gastly a total of 6 times, and I eventually got the shiny alpha back. I checked every gastly stats and gender and none were the same. So I’m guessing that means that every second wave is different each time?
Was in the middle of a shiny hunt last night before the update, so I’m gonna finish my hunt before updating the game! Thanks to you I won’t be super cranky about ruining my hunt!
Here’s a tip for encountering the new ones once you update! Once you do the side mission to activate them you might have a hard time finding them! You can use Jubilife and the retreat to continue to cycle through mass and massive outbreaks!
I can also confirm that even if the weather stops and the Massive Mass Outbreak ends, any Pokemon that have already spawned at the site you're currently at won't despawn, as long as you don't go too far away from that site. (Haven't tested if they leave if you fly across the map and return, though)
10:25 Yes, I've have a cyndaquil outbreak that did in fact continue, the outbreaks with stars probably have an increased chance or guaranteed chance to continue.
In colbalt coastlands there was a growlithe group and after clearing them, NO star, all arcanine appeared. So maybe the star just makes it 100% certain there will be a continuation
Was trying this out in the Coronet Highlands and found a shiny Dartrix on the first outbreak!!! Decidueye has been a dream shiny of mine so finding it randomly was a pleasant surprise
I had defeated a Monferno massive mass outbreak and soon after that i was about to find another and it said "another horde had formed" AND ONE OF THEM WAS SHINY - I legit started freaking out - it was a shiny alpha infernape
@@DireWolfDevil I just compared lists on Serebii for massive mass outbreaks vs mass outbreaks and only found Eevee to be a poke you can no longer obtain once your game is updated. Do you know of more?
Okay this is really awesome! Yeah it sucks that we can't pick an outbreak and keep resetting until we get a shiny but having so many outbreaks at once (including starters ahhhh!) is going to make it even more fun for me just flying around the map and seeing if I can get lucky!
All this update did was make the game more single player than it was, and kill the trade community. Then there's the Shiny nerf, which flat out ruined the game for me.
If you don’t like this method, disconnect your switch from the internet and dont update the game!! You can always try the new method after getting all the shinies you really wanted x
I totally agree!! At first I was bummed out because I only saw people talking about how the method doesn't work anymore, and didn't see anyone talking about how there's so many outbreaks at once now. So I thought it was gonna be the same as the previous versions except now you can't reset, and that was super disappointing. But now that I know there are way more outbreaks, I'm gonna have waaaay more fun flying around to different outbreaks and seeing which shinies I can find! I like that idea much better than just resetting the same outbreak over and over and over. I rarely came across an outbreak for a pokemon I specifically badly wanted anyway... And going back and forth over and over to try and get the outbreak you want was also extremely tedious to the point where I only bothered doing it once (zorua, and lord was it painful lol). I know a lot of people really enjoy resetting, but for me it wasn't a fun way to play at all, and having many outbreaks to choose from and just flying around in search of shinies feels way more fun and natural than just repeatedly restarting the game or repeatedly going back and forth between the map and the village to try and get a specific outbreak to pop up. I totally see how it's a major bummer for people who enjoyed shiny hunting that way, it was such an easy and effective method and I completely understand why this would be disappointing for a lot of people. But idk, for me personally I think I'm gonna find this new update a lot more fun and enjoyable, and I saw plenty of other people expressing similar feelings too so I know we aren't the only ones lol. The previous method gave you way too much control over getting a specific shiny WAY faster than EVER before. In traditional shiny hunting the odds were way way lower and in many instances you still had no control over which specific pokemon you get, you could be hunting for a specific mon but get a completely different shiny in your search instead. Outbreaks are still an amazing way to get shinies, now it definitely takes more work to get the specific one you want but that's completely in line with how shiny hunting has ways been. Shinies are still crazy abundant with the new update, just less control over what pokemon you can get.

I rarely use trade, i will use when i need to evolve some pokemon so it's a very good news for me! Trading system ruin the game at the first place. My input on the "timer" concept - it seems pretty random sadly enough. I've gotten 5 outbreaks in one go one time, and then 4, and then 6. I think this is just testing everyone on how aggressive capture without battle works. I've been doing it since the start, only really try to sneak shot alphas occupied with eating a cake. 🤷🏻♂️
PIECE OF ADVICE HERE!!!! : you can check every pokemon in the outbreaks by saving at the camp before using the berries to see what pokemon are at every location. catch every mon in a single outbrake, usually the massive mass outbreaks lasts until the third or fourth outbreak you do, if you don't fin a shiny in any of those outbreaks reset the game and check every mon in the other ones, if you find a shiny in the middle of one of them or at the end of a single outbreak reset the game and go straight to that outbreak and catch every mon until the shiny shows up. ( every mon that can appear in a outbreak is already predetermined when the map loads ) ALSO.....catch them don't battle them because if you battle them you skip pokemon frames preventing you from seeing a potential shiny ( just like austin mentioned in another video) by doing this you can clear every outbreak in the map.

This update is so useful. I caught a Shiny Alpha Eevee in the Spacetime Distortion but that was a while ago so these outbreaks should make searching for them a lot easier.

From what I’ve observed from my gameplay, the shiny symbol will only create an alpha horde if the pokemon doesn’t have next evolution. For example, in this video, after ghastly the haunter showed up instead of alpha horde. But if for example, you got a shiny symbol spiritomb, the next horde after you clear it will be an alpha horde.

i’m pretty annoyed at the patch of the previous method it really made the game extra enjoyable and it made shiny hunting fun. Hopefully we find a new method that’s just as good
If you wanted to check all the outbreaks I would recommend just hard saving in front of Mai, and when timer runs out just reset the game and check the other outbreaks you haven't checked
By the way, you can save before you enter a map with massive mass outbreaks so after checking every mass outbreak you can reload your save and choose which pokemon you want to hunt or get
Pro tip, save at jubilife before heading to a massive outbreak. Then feed munchlax the aguav berries to reveal the Pokémon. Take note, reload the game, and head to the question mark. Let’s you reveal Pokémon without burning aguav berries
thanks for the info on the fine details of this update. I'm personally a little torn on how I feel about it. the old method was controllable, repeatable, and reliable, which fits better with spirit of classic shiny hunting, but I do also kinda like the wild west chaotic vibes of this new one. not that my preference matters since it's already happened and we're here now lol
Jeez, the attention to detail on updating the name for the versions it worked, appreciate it dude! Also it's sad that the only things I hunted with that method till I got the shiny were cherubi and rotom, and I didn't even have the shiny charm. I literally just got the charm today right after updating my game. Ouch. Also my box 1 onward is a living dex with form differences (shellos wormadam sneasel vulpix/ninetails, but excluding unknown. I might add my first boss unknown if I get one though, to not have to choose between letters) and so I don't clear it, just every pokemon after darkrai is the random stuff either to use for evolving for the perfect dex later etc, and my last couple boxes has the shiny pokemon, a box for the unknown, probably a spot for the rotom forms, etc. But anyway point is I should have everything cleanly filling up after darkrai, and hopefully not intruding on other later boxes. Anyway enough babbling, this is a really good strategy for the outbreaks and I really appreciate the work you put in. I was already aware from the first moment I could give munchlax 5 berries and reset to save the berries, but I would not have thought to fly around and uncover them 1 by 1 to check for shinies before starting the actual hunt after resetting.
You can save before leaving Jubilife, then reset from there. I've found plenty of shinies that way since they aren't the same each time you go into the area. So yes, it's still possible to shiny hunt the single outbreaks.
so you save in jubilife, but when you reset do you go to camp and back to jubilife or just go to camp? bc i thought going to camp from a jubilife save would keep the same outbreak

I'm so bummed because I had just finally got a zoroarck outbreak too. I already updated, and learned too late. The plus side, this looks like a new funner way to shiny hunt/complete pokedex.
For old outbreaks has any test been done on saving before heading to camp? IE save in the village, go to camp to check out the generated mons, reload at village and repeat to see if the results are identical?
The outbreak definitely can continue even if there’s no star, I had a quilava outbreak which transitioned into alpha typhlosion with no star on the map

A strategy that I like using during massive mass out breaks is to actually check all of them. I start by using the Aguas berries to know what's where then save right there. I then just start running through the mass outbreaks one by one. I can usually get 3 to 4 out breaks in before the storm stops. If I get no shiny, I reset and start again but at a different outbreak. this way you can check every single out break on the map without risking to lose shinies.

hey i have a tip for you: around 13:00 when you caught the first shiny gastly after the crash, you threw a ball at it and waited until you had the catch confirmation (the fireworks)… well actually it was a confirmed catch before that… before the fireworks the pokeball does either a 3 air puff animation or a single puff animation. the single puff is a guaranteed catch confirmation, while the 3 puff is still unconfirmed. just wanted to help spread the word, thanks for the videos!
I had a zubat outbreak with no star, it turned into a golbat outbreak, and spawned a shiny and 2 alphas. I have never been so simultaneously excited and scared.
Nice video. This got me started well. I have done about 60 hours with this method. If you encounter a shiny that IS NOT in one of the outbreaks, it will despawn if you reset.
If it helps, while I was doing the massive mass outbreak tutorial/mission, I had run out of time while only clearing one outbreak, then managed to clear out three outbreaks before the timer ran out, so I don't think it has to do with the amount of outbreaks you clear at once.
Best advice to give right there I got a shiny spheal and togetic (when the outbreak was for Togepi) just sitting there in the spots. Im definitely ok with this update. It's less of s guarantee but its like mini trials now

Do you think it's beneficial to avoid the update for the time being? I have been taking my time going through the game and have unlocked all the areas but haven't done the endgame yet. I'm enjoying the current shiny hunting methods covered previously. I'm interested to see if the pros of this update outweigh the cons (as I can't get the starters yet)
12:08 That scares me, because I have seen the game crash multiple times in my playthrough, I suspect that when doing a high amount of APM, the game system goes out of breath and sometimes crash. Ever since that happened, I hard save my game in fear of it betraying me again. I hope that those mass outbreaks don't make it worse.

I've done a bunch of testing on the timer and it seems to be slightly randomized in itself. When you load an area, you get a random timer of 10-20 minutes assigned to you. The more outbreaks you clear, the less time you get. If you die it will take a lot of time away from you. For me it was 5 minutes in my only death so far

Same, although before I began shiny hunting I got a shiny staravia early game and without trying in the first place, I didn’t expect it but it’s been a huge carry for my team.
So i never knew these massive outbreaks existed, because i got the game very recently (yes i know im late to it) but literally first outbreak i go to in the tutorial outbreak was a shellos outbreak and one of the shellos was shiny and it was apart of the first 4. Thank you, Austin John!!
So I'm not sure why, but I got a shiny Zubat, and when I went back after reloading, it wasn't there. The Zubat was NOT in the first 4, it was the 6th Pokémon, so that makes me wonder if only the first 4 Pokémon have set shinyness, and the ones past that are randomized, unlike regular outbreaks. On the other hand, in my testing that doesn't seem to be the case for alphas, so I'm not sure what happened. If I get another shiny I don't care about I might test out again to see what happens. IF the ones past the first 4 can vary in shinyness, then outbreak hunting is BACK BABYYY! You could simply save at camp, go to the outbreak you want, catch/kill the first 4 that aren't shiny, and then the rest of them can still be shiny.
I was curious about this myself. Reset after finding a shiny in the 2nd horde, went back and it didn't appear. Reset a couple of times and it was back on the 3rd reset. Do the new horde spawns draw from a set pool, or are they completely random? I can't find anybody talking about it yet. 😅

Awesome content. I've got a ton of your videos for reference. Made my playthroughs SO much easier. I got my PLA with the update v1.1 so I was initially upset that the previous shiny hunting methods didn't work, but your videos helped a lot. Today, I got 5 shinies and a shiny alpha Roselia in one day. Your videos are amazing, by the way.
What I’ve been doing is especially if there’s multiple massive outbreaks in different regions, save in Jublife. Check as many outbreaks as you can and if there’s no shiny, reset and check the others in that region. You can cover everything and save all your items if there’s no shiny

I did a regular mass outbreak shiny hunt post-update and was able to maintain the same Pokemon spawn as long as I saved the game at Jubilife but *not* at the camp where the outbreak occurred. It takes a little longer than saving at camp, but you can maintain your desired spawn and continuously redraw the table for shiny/not shiny/alpha.
@@vincentbranciforte9832 I literally did this for my shiny zorua *after* doing the quest for massive mass outbreaks and farming mmos for 4 hours and decided to try doing a regular outbreak because it was zorua. i don't know all the rates/numbers, etc, but i saved at jubilife with zorua as my regular outbreak spawn, then reset with that jubilife hard save point several times, still getting different zorua draw tables each time. Maybe there is something i missed, but it worked for me.
So I never finished request 98. Just got the game a few days ago. (Request only) You can change what Pokémon are in the storm for each level if you save before talking to Mai. They will start the quest. Check the locations if nothing good close and restart quest again. It was great for myself who just wanted a shiny Growlithe in the coastal region. Keep in mind once you’re done the request per each map you can’t do it again
this new outbreak method has really been helping my work towards my shiny charm. also have had abysmal shiny luck and i got 3 today rhyhorn, wurmple, scyther almost back to back.
What do you do if you fail the massive mass outbreak for mai’s quest? (i mean as in you didn’t complete 3 outbreaks before the storm ended) do you just go in and out of the village?
Hello Austin John, today I got a Lickitung Mass Outbreak as part of a Massive Mass Outbreak in the Mirelands and luckily got a Shiny Lickitung in the first four spawns, but then a new horde formed after the first one AND got a Shiny Lickilicky in it! I was very happy, but since I was checking all the Mass Outbreaks, I didn't save thinking that I'd get both Shinys after. When I came back to the Lickitung Mass Outbreak, the initial Shiny Lickitung was there, but the Shiny Lickilicky didn't come back in the horde that forms after. I made sure that I caught all the Lickitungs and all that every time, but I could never get the Shiny Lickilicky in the second group/horde. Is the second horde not predetermined? Is it determined when the second group formes?
What you can also do which would take longer is when you save m you can keep restarting at mai and go to check every individual outbreak, you can clear them all out to see if theres a shiny, just will take more time

So I thought it was gonna be the same as the previous versions except now you can't reset, and that was super disappointing. But now that I know there are way more outbreaks, I'm gonna have waaaay more fun flying around to different outbreaks and seeing which shinies I can find! I like that idea much better than just resetting the same outbreak over and over and over. I rarely came across an outbreak for a pokemon I specifically badly wanted anyway... And going back and forth over and over to try and get the outbreak you want was also extremely tedious to the point where I only bothered doing it once (zorua, and lord was it painful lol). I know a lot of people really enjoy resetting, but for me it wasn't a fun way to play at all, and having many outbreaks to choose from and just flying around in search of shinies feels way more fun and natural than just repeatedly restarting the game or repeatedly going back and forth between the map and the village to try and get a specific outbreak to pop up.
I totally see how it's a major bummer for people who enjoyed shiny hunting that way, it was such an easy and effective method and I completely understand why this would be disappointing for a lot of people. But idk, for me personally I think I'm gonna find this new update a lot more fun and enjoyable, and I saw plenty of other people expressing similar feelings too so I know we aren't the only ones lol. The previous method gave you way too much control over getting a specific shiny WAY faster than EVER before. In traditional shiny hunting the odds were way way lower and in many instances you still had no control over which specific pokemon you get, you could be hunting for a specific mon but get a completely different shiny in your search instead. Outbreaks are still an amazing way to get shinies, now it definitely takes more work to get the specific one you want but that's completely in line with how shiny hunting has ways been. Shinies are still crazy abundant with the new update, just less control over what pokemon you can get.

I rarely use trade, i will use when i need to evolve some pokemon so it's a very good news for me! Trading system ruin the game at the first place. My input on the "timer" concept - it seems pretty random sadly enough. I've gotten 5 outbreaks in one go one time, and then 4, and then 6. I think this is just testing everyone on how aggressive capture without battle works. I've been doing it since the start, only really try to sneak shot alphas occupied with eating a cake. 🤷🏻♂️

PIECE OF ADVICE HERE!!!! : you can check every pokemon in the outbreaks by saving at the camp before using the berries to see what pokemon are at every location. catch every mon in a single outbrake, usually the massive mass outbreaks lasts until the third or fourth outbreak you do, if you don't fin a shiny in any of those outbreaks reset the game and check every mon in the other ones, if you find a shiny in the middle of one of them or at the end of a single outbreak reset the game and go straight to that outbreak and catch every mon until the shiny shows up. ( every mon that can appear in a outbreak is already predetermined when the map loads ) ALSO.....catch them don't battle them because if you battle them you skip pokemon frames preventing you from seeing a potential shiny ( just like austin mentioned in another video) by doing this you can clear every outbreak in the map.
okay, how can someone read this and not immediately surmise that this method is dogshit? why is gamefreak so scared to add good, uncomplicated methods these days
This update is so useful. I caught a Shiny Alpha Eevee in the Spacetime Distortion but that was a while ago so these outbreaks should make searching for them a lot easier.
Eevee doesn't spawn for massive mass outbreaks, sadly. 😔

From what I’ve observed from my gameplay, the shiny symbol will only create an alpha horde if the pokemon doesn’t have next evolution. For example, in this video, after ghastly the haunter showed up instead of alpha horde. But if for example, you got a shiny symbol spiritomb, the next horde after you clear it will be an alpha horde.
When I did the tutorial, I got alpha Bunearys from the second wave, so it might just be random
I got alpha kricketots from a shiny one as well, i think its random

It seems like if you get Pokémon with no evo, alpha forms of that same mon spawn again as alpha

If you wanted to check all the outbreaks I would recommend just hard saving in front of Mai, and when timer runs out just reset the game and check the other outbreaks you haven't checked
By the way, you can save before you enter a map with massive mass outbreaks so after checking every mass outbreak you can reload your save and choose which pokemon you want to hunt or get
But does it gaurantee that same selection will still be there. That's the thing

Pro tip, save at jubilife before heading to a massive outbreak. Then feed munchlax the aguav berries to reveal the Pokémon. Take note, reload the game, and head to the question mark. Let’s you reveal Pokémon without burning aguav berries

thanks for the info on the fine details of this update. I'm personally a little torn on how I feel about it. the old method was controllable, repeatable, and reliable, which fits better with spirit of classic shiny hunting, but I do also kinda like the wild west chaotic vibes of this new one. not that my preference matters since it's already happened and we're here now lol
Jeez, the attention to detail on updating the name for the versions it worked, appreciate it dude! Also it's sad that the only things I hunted with that method till I got the shiny were cherubi and rotom, and I didn't even have the shiny charm. I literally just got the charm today right after updating my game. Ouch.
Also my box 1 onward is a living dex with form differences (shellos wormadam sneasel vulpix/ninetails, but excluding unknown. I might add my first boss unknown if I get one though, to not have to choose between letters) and so I don't clear it, just every pokemon after darkrai is the random stuff either to use for evolving for the perfect dex later etc, and my last couple boxes has the shiny pokemon, a box for the unknown, probably a spot for the rotom forms, etc. But anyway point is I should have everything cleanly filling up after darkrai, and hopefully not intruding on other later boxes.
Anyway enough babbling, this is a really good strategy for the outbreaks and I really appreciate the work you put in. I was already aware from the first moment I could give munchlax 5 berries and reset to save the berries, but I would not have thought to fly around and uncover them 1 by 1 to check for shinies before starting the actual hunt after resetting.

You can save before leaving Jubilife, then reset from there. I've found plenty of shinies that way since they aren't the same each time you go into the area. So yes, it's still possible to shiny hunt the single outbreaks.
so you save in jubilife, but when you reset do you go to camp and back to jubilife or just go to camp? bc i thought going to camp from a jubilife save would keep the same outbreak

I'm so bummed because I had just finally got a zoroarck outbreak too. I already updated, and learned too late. The plus side, this looks like a new funner way to shiny hunt/complete pokedex.
The old method still works you just have to leave the area multiple times to get the outbreak you want to spawn again

For old outbreaks has any test been done on saving before heading to camp? IE save in the village, go to camp to check out the generated mons, reload at village and repeat to see if the results are identical?

The outbreak definitely can continue even if there’s no star, I had a quilava outbreak which transitioned into alpha typhlosion with no star on the map

A strategy that I like using during massive mass out breaks is to actually check all of them. I start by using the Aguas berries to know what's where then save right there. I then just start running through the mass outbreaks one by one. I can usually get 3 to 4 out breaks in before the storm stops. If I get no shiny, I reset and start again but at a different outbreak. this way you can check every single out break on the map without risking to lose shinies.

hey i have a tip for you: around 13:00 when you caught the first shiny gastly after the crash, you threw a ball at it and waited until you had the catch confirmation (the fireworks)… well actually it was a confirmed catch before that…
before the fireworks the pokeball does either a 3 air puff animation or a single puff animation. the single puff is a guaranteed catch confirmation, while the 3 puff is still unconfirmed.

I had a zubat outbreak with no star, it turned into a golbat outbreak, and spawned a shiny and 2 alphas. I have never been so simultaneously excited and scared.

Nice video. This got me started well. I have done about 60 hours with this method.
If you encounter a shiny that IS NOT in one of the outbreaks, it will despawn if you reset.
If it helps, while I was doing the massive mass outbreak tutorial/mission, I had run out of time while only clearing one outbreak, then managed to clear out three outbreaks before the timer ran out, so I don't think it has to do with the amount of outbreaks you clear at once.
Best advice to give right there
I got a shiny spheal and togetic (when the outbreak was for Togepi) just sitting there in the spots.

12:08 That scares me, because I have seen the game crash multiple times in my playthrough, I suspect that when doing a high amount of APM, the game system goes out of breath and sometimes crash. Ever since that happened, I hard save my game in fear of it betraying me again. I hope that those mass outbreaks don't make it worse.

12:06 I've had my game crash multiple times in that same area during MMOs. It seems like that specific location has issues for some reason.

I've done a bunch of testing on the timer and it seems to be slightly randomized in itself. When you load an area, you get a random timer of 10-20 minutes assigned to you. The more outbreaks you clear, the less time you get. If you die it will take a lot of time away from you.
For me it was 5 minutes in my only death so far

Berries are pretty easy to sock up on if you go out of your way for a bit, it costs 5 and you usually get around 10 per berry outbreak

So i never knew these massive outbreaks existed, because i got the game very recently (yes i know im late to it) but literally first outbreak i go to in the tutorial outbreak was a shellos outbreak and one of the shellos was shiny and it was apart of the first 4. Thank you, Austin John!!
So I'm not sure why, but I got a shiny Zubat, and when I went back after reloading, it wasn't there.
The Zubat was NOT in the first 4, it was the 6th Pokémon, so that makes me wonder if only the first 4 Pokémon have set shinyness, and the ones past that are randomized, unlike regular outbreaks.
On the other hand, in my testing that doesn't seem to be the case for alphas, so I'm not sure what happened. If I get another shiny I don't care about I might test out again to see what happens.
IF the ones past the first 4 can vary in shinyness, then outbreak hunting is BACK BABYYY! You could simply save at camp, go to the outbreak you want, catch/kill the first 4 that aren't shiny, and then the rest of them can still be shiny.
I was curious about this myself. Reset after finding a shiny in the 2nd horde, went back and it didn't appear. Reset a couple of times and it was back on the 3rd reset. Do the new horde spawns draw from a set pool, or are they completely random? I can't find anybody talking about it yet. 😅

I got my PLA with the update v1.1 so I was initially upset that the previous shiny hunting methods didn't work, but your videos helped a lot. Today, I got 5 shinies and a shiny alpha Roselia in one day. Your videos are amazing, by the way.
What I’ve been doing is especially if there’s multiple massive outbreaks in different regions, save in Jublife. Check as many outbreaks as you can and if there’s no shiny, reset and check the others in that region. You can cover everything and save all your items if there’s no shiny

I did a regular mass outbreak shiny hunt post-update and was able to maintain the same Pokemon spawn as long as I saved the game at Jubilife but *not* at the camp where the outbreak occurred. It takes a little longer than saving at camp, but you can maintain your desired spawn and continuously redraw the table for shiny/not shiny/alpha.

@@vincentbranciforte9832 I literally did this for my shiny zorua *after* doing the quest for massive mass outbreaks and farming mmos for 4 hours and decided to try doing a regular outbreak because it was zorua. i don't know all the rates/numbers, etc, but i saved at jubilife with zorua as my regular outbreak spawn, then reset with that jubilife hard save point several times, still getting different zorua draw tables each time. Maybe there is something i missed, but it worked for me.

So I never finished request 98. Just got the game a few days ago. (Request only) You can change what Pokémon are in the storm for each level if you save before talking to Mai. They will start the quest. Check the locations if nothing good close and restart quest again. It was great for myself who just wanted a shiny Growlithe in the coastal region. Keep in mind once you’re done the request per each map you can’t do it again

Hello Austin John, today I got a Lickitung Mass Outbreak as part of a Massive Mass Outbreak in the Mirelands and luckily got a Shiny Lickitung in the first four spawns, but then a new horde formed after the first one AND got a Shiny Lickilicky in it! I was very happy, but since I was checking all the Mass Outbreaks, I didn't save thinking that I'd get both Shinys after. When I came back to the Lickitung Mass Outbreak, the initial Shiny Lickitung was there, but the Shiny Lickilicky didn't come back in the horde that forms after. I made sure that I caught all the Lickitungs and all that every time, but I could never get the Shiny Lickilicky in the second group/horde. Is the second horde not predetermined? Is it determined when the second group formes?

What you can also do which would take longer is when you save m you can keep restarting at mai and go to check every individual outbreak, you can clear them all out to see if theres a shiny, just will take more time
