YT channels, like yours,Rick, Matt, Good Good etc, you become invested in. The longer format, matches, challenges and teaching and so on, bring the viewer into a “family” environment.
Personally, I would rather watch YT all day than LIV, even PGA, because I get far more entertainment and gain some knowledge to, hopefully take to the course for my game..
    Love your work guys.

I enjoy watching the majors, but hardly ever watch tour events in-between. However, watch RUclips golf most days

I can't wait to hear your opinions about the PGA loyalty money. I think it is "investing" in the past. I would not blame any of the have-nots for going to LIV, especially young up and coming stars.

Trying to compare RUclips golf to the PGA as far as viewers go is difficult. To me it like saying that because more people eat at McDonalds than at a fancy restaurant that people really like the food at McDonalds better.
Now before people come at me with pitchforks let me explain. Most RUclips golf videos are somewhere between 15 and 50 minutes. Some are a bit longer but most are in that range. Watching, say your TPC Myrtle Beach video gave me a condenced version of your round. It was all the shots but put into a content for quick consumption. If I had to go to the bathroom I could pause it, or even take a seat and continue to watch it. It is easily consumed and enjoyed. It is also not live for the most part. You can get a sense of the game being played but the tension you see in a true match, like say the Masters, isn't there.
The Masters is longer, better made, a true production for something that has tangible goals and rewards. Like any sporting event, it is an event. Good Good tried this with their live event and found out pretty quickly that such an event is hard, really hard. But people don't necessarily watch the whole event, deciding that time to watch is in the last hour or so. RUclips golf is generally a short term thing which makes viewing easy. I compare it to playing a round on your simulator. You can bang out 18 in less than an hour but it is artificial and not truly like being on the real course, even if it is well represented. Both have their place but there is no real comparison between the two, at least as far as how to look at viewership.

Personally- I like the "YT" golf (golfers) vs the big brand/TV golf (ers).... maybe because it's more personal; you get to know them. "Down to earth" if you will where many have "grown" with them. Look at Tiger -- views/ratings go way up when he plays but we've grown along with Tiger and his greatness (to the game)! Channels here on YT grow similar; learning, watching, correcting (or not), reviews, instruction = access. One of the best moves is including/inviting the "pros"... showing they are real and having access to that "guy"/"gal". Are you (they) promoting the sport and connecting with their viewers ...or potential future viewers. I know of at least 2 guys (maybe a few others too) that have worked hard over the last 10+yrs to do just that, having challenges and doing real world stuffs -- creating access ... it's relatable to the viewers; I'd say keep that!!! Be Safe

Pertaining to lots of media talk of “can’t wait to watch LIV and PGA play together” honestly I didn’t like many of players who went to LIV, before LIV even started, it was more of ahh I don’t have to see them anymore
Now on the majors I have to deal with the players I dislike are back and that makes it harder to want to watch. Still watched but interest was down.

YT feels more real life golf and far more interesting and entertaining. PGA Tour gets a bit boring and at least sends me to sleep late on a Saturday night 😂

People watch YT golf, cause its free and its a standard we can all achieve. The Q Pete played in, showed us all how much BS is kicking about TY. Micah and Grant prove YTers are doctoring their videos.
We watch Majors, to watch the best. Real Golfers.

I’m sure it’s not the only factor but in middle of a cost of living crisis and people considering their paid subscriptions, it doesn’t seem that surprising that “free to view” is proving more popular than paid subscription channels.

RUclips golf. People can watch who they want when they want and see every shot. PGA golf you can go for hours and only see a tap in of one of your favorite golfers. They show Rory walking to a tee box every broadcast it seems for several minutes. Are golf fans writing in demanding to look at his butt? Meanwhile, Akshay Bhatia or Sahith Theegala are hitting tee shots somewhere and we don't get see that. If broadcasters know what they are doing George Bryan should get quite a bit of screen time at Myrtle Beach. I will give them one more chance on that

Can't say I'm surprised. I've made attempts to watch Liv and its like watching a trashy motor racing event, the quiet dignity off golf is lost. This weekend in Australia is the worst so far, drinks are being thrown at caddies.
