Exactly. A 24 handicap is more likely to get to Garretts level within 3 months than Garrett is to get onto the PGA Tour in his lifetime. It’s just so far ahead.
G is a legitimate scratch player. Maybe a +1 or 2. That makes him about 5 levels away from PGA. If you've ever regularly played with an actual PGA tour quality player, you know. Im coming here after seeing the Creator Classic tournament. Garrett is closer to pro golf than he realizes. He just has to decide if he is ready for the grind of working to get there and dealing with the ups and downs. Having taught many young golfers, I can see that his mechanics are very solid. The only thing missing is more tournament play. Sharpening your mental focus is really the last step. Preparation is also very important. After watching you hit OB twice on the 12th hole at East Lake, it was evident you werent prepared for that hole and kind of blocked out the danger right. Im a big fan Garrett and wish you all the best.

In asking a former tour player the difference between a good D1 college player and a PGA pro is the ability to go very low when conditions are right and/or the golf setup is forgiving. A D1 player can commonly go 1-2 strokes under par when conditions are good but they rarely will shoot in the low 60's. Touring pro's will shoot low when the conditions are right and still go 1-2 under when conditions are tough. David Duval has the course record at our local public course that used to host Nike Tour Events. Duval shot a 59! That score card has many 2's and 3's recorded. It is a whole other level!
I wonder if Brad and Garrett have read the “Outliers” book. Not only are top pro golfers talented and committed, but if you analyse their childhood I think you'll find immense luck. Their situation allowed and motivated the early training. Things like: dad was a golf pro, lived on a golf course, access to top teachers, and proximity to other top junior. Or in some cases, a strong motivation to succeed due to overcome racial prejudice. It's a really good book and worth a read.
G, did you ask Brad the right question? You might have learned more if you asked him "what do PGA golfers do that I do not?" One answer would be that they play par 3's closer to par. They putt better. They don't normally have swing breakdowns like that feared snap hook that shows up under pressure. Mostly their mental games are a LOT better. You can figure that out.
I think Grant is every bit as good as George. I think you and Micah have potential to play on tour, but Micah needs to see major improvement on his short game. You are so naturally gifted, I don’t think there is one specific area to work on except for the mental aspect.
10% chance. Between the stress involved, performance under pressure, and skill level required, it’s a tough gig. Focus on your health first Garrett. Once your brain is calm, your body follows. Less anxiety and stress is always healthier
People forget being a RUclips golfer there is zero pressure… being on tour there is pressure every shot and week and as Brad said there are thousands of golfers just like him or better that just aren’t on RUclips. If either of these had the desire and talent to be on tour they would be, it’s that simple.
It’s not enough to have the desire and talent. You have to beat all those other players who are equally good and determined to win. It’s basically impossible.
just clicked on the vid, been watching since the start. but not even close. ill watch this through later and if its its just click bait oof. theres a big difference in tour level and it becomes backing off youtube. love you guys
garret you may not be on the tour yet but you are the best ball striker I have seen before pro level. it may not happen this month maybe not even this year but you will on tour soon brother
He might be 10% away from being able to go pro. But sharping a razor blade another 10% is a monumental task which not only involves talent, but a sacrifice of quality of life in areas most people can not (and should not) take on. He's extraordinarly successful doing a thing he loves. He is a golf pro, just not a tour pro, but IMO, he has already won.
Watching the first video from one of the good good members in probably a year and nice to see garrets more comfortable (doesn’t seem like the videos for kids if you get me)
Garrett you know as well as anyone even the most talented players may never play a PGA Tour event for a number of reasons. Sometimes it is just bad luck, bad timing, one bad swing or missed putt. However, you have done something most P.G.A. professionals and Tour Pro will never accomplish to promote the game and have fun in front of thousands. You still have fun and people enjoy watching you and the people you play with regardless of what your score card says at the end of the day. You are doing exactly what a professional is supposed to do grow interest and participation in the game of golf. One day you may get to play in a PGA Tour event I wish you all the luck and hope you do. Long term I think you will look back and say I helped grow the game I love and had a hell of a time doing it. Keep chasing your dreams where ever they may take you!
I think youtube golfers over estimate the state of their mental toughness. Garrett thought he was closer than what Brad said obviously. Garrett would fold in a real tournament. Even in an amateur qualifier he would get blasted. It is just so different than playing with the scrubs (outside of Kwon and Brad) he plays with. I also think he doesn’t truly know where he is becuase he plays by RUclips rules and not real (OB, miraculously finding every ball, extremely lenient drops out of hazards, etc.
@gm__golf you need to come play Tempest golf course in East Texas. About two hours east of Dallas. It’s a fun course that you would enjoy playing. A lot of hills that would challenge and you Brad. It has won many awards being one of the top courses in Texas.
I would love a good good after dark or uncensored, or even a version of that on this channel. Just no bleeps or cuts. Raw footage of how everyone acts on the golf course lol
When you see the gap between you and the guys who worked incredibly hard and are KF Tour or other satellite tour players, it is a very quick answer to know the massive gap to play at PGA tour levels. These guys consistently card 6 under par or better when they are guests on YT channels, which an emphasis on “consistently”.
suggestion - can you put the fullswing data on the tee shots in the corner? only on this channel, it's fun to see high caliber players and what they cruise at...i do wonder how Luke feels about now being excluded from the "good golfer" club...
Making birdies is what improves everyone game, maybe do a series of you trying make 6 birdies in a round, the other scores do t matter, get mindset of just playing attacking golf and nothing else matters
I LOVED hearing Garrett ask about his position in the world. That tells me 2 things: One, he would like to be a real pro. Two, the fact that he is even asking.. means its possible. Garrett, you are a fortunate man... your followers can take to to the top. Grant once said that your short game is phenomenal because of your trick shot upbringing. Well, i agree. Your short game is amongst the best of youtube and you don't even realize it. Your putting is in the top 10% of pga pros. Your chips are at least in the top 50%. Your distance in in the top 30%. You just need to play the course like Luke does... smart. He doesn't hit driver on every hole. You can learn from that. I can see you winning on tour.
No, percentages are waaaaaaaayyyyyyy off. Easily 7 to 10 shots away from making the cut in any tour event on any tour, not just PGA or LIV but KF as well and even more local ones like in Florida. Easily. Try it some day and you'll find out fast. And he's a nice guy but you can see mentally that he's not up to it. You have to be a machine. And those 7 to 10 shots would take years to shave off. There are 500 college players that would eat his fucking lunch and only about three of those might make it on tour. He has almost zero real competition experience - I'm talking actual full real events with great players. RUclips golf is not the same thing, not even close. Most guys that have any chance on tour have been playing tournaments since they were 5 years old.
@@bingohhhhhhhhhhhh understood, and I agree. But you must admit, this kid is going places and is now 'privileged'. He has the backing of the manufacturers and top courses in the world along with the top instructors. He has the hands that would enable the potential of a great short game. He also has the distance required to compete with the pros. Those 5-7 shots would come off much faster than you think.
@@tourprovenDisagree. He's going places on RUclips and maybe in some form of sports entertainment but not as a tour player, unless maybe LIV signs him as a novelty act.
The only reason he couldn't make it on a tour, is if he didn't really want it. Micah really wants it, but unfortunately does not have Garrett talent. It takes 3 key ingredients: Opportunity, Talent, and desire. In Garrett's case, we only don't know if he has the desire.
I think the hardest is playing consistently no matter pace etc. Think about all the rounds you play fast get into them and light up the course. Now take and add time in between every shot waiting. PGA players are so consistent slow or fast. Windy or calm.
Last time I played was like 15 years ago when I was a student. I never made my Course licence though as was too expensive for me back then. But I spend quite some time on the driving range and test bunkers. And me and my friends played a few times the 9 hole course we where allowed to. But watching all those videos lately I really want to get into Golf again. I think I make my license this year and then try to not screw up every shot I take 🙄
I think with a caddy and playing on some of the best courses in the world you have as much chance as anyone else! Just gotta stay in a good mindset like on GMgolf!
With so many golfers in the tour being semi unknown to non super golf fans. And seeing them shoot over par. You can do it! Brad and Kwon should give it a try haha
You played with Min Wo Lee, if you can hang with him- you can make it. Also, tour course set ups are crazy hard. Approach shots need to be inside 20’. RUclips more fun and maybe more money than low line pro.

69 yards.....
Dinner for 2. Classic G!!!
I love the amount of innuendo that slips in 😂
He might be 10% away from being able to go pro. But sharping a razor blade another 10% is a monumental task which not only involves talent, but a sacrifice of quality of life in areas most people can not (and should not) take on. He's extraordinarly successful doing a thing he loves. He is a golf pro, just not a tour pro, but IMO, he has already won.
Brad is such a gem for your franchise. Content with him just hits different than with the other guys (no front)
The cart cam the whole back nine was just SERVING, great round boys.
I want to watch brad swing a golf club in person. Atleast once in my life. Dudes swing is insane
G you ain’t even ready for corn ferry 😂
21:44 *Garrett hammers the pin* “Yep that’s a good shot there” I’m crying bro😂😂😂
@braddalkegolf should really look into it.
Such a wholesome moment with the fans!
I would love a good good after dark or uncensored, or even a version of that on this channel. Just no bleeps or cuts. Raw footage of how everyone acts on the golf course lol
You’re the best from your group in the videos by far
These videos are so much better than the content dropping on good good. Should focus more on this channel.
I heard on PGA tour radio, something about a youtuber getting a PGA tourney start.
Who doesn’t love stroke play?
Great banter boys I was dying 😂
11:16 is when Garrett asks about the PGA Tour
Thank u
When you see the gap between you and the guys who worked incredibly hard and are KF Tour or other satellite tour players, it is a very quick answer to know the massive gap to play at PGA tour levels. These guys consistently card 6 under par or better when they are guests on YT channels, which an emphasis on “consistently”.
Honestly out of everyone who has EVER BEEN on GG golf Garrett is the most talented!
Stroke play with Brad is going to help the game out for sure!
suggestion - can you put the fullswing data on the tee shots in the corner? only on this channel, it's fun to see high caliber players and what they cruise at...i do wonder how Luke feels about now being excluded from the "good golfer" club...
Making birdies is what improves everyone game, maybe do a series of you trying make 6 birdies in a round, the other scores do t matter, get mindset of just playing attacking golf and nothing else matters
Aren't college players anywhere from 0- min-5. So to get there...dump the vids an commit 💯 Letzzz Goooo G, we're still behind ya! 🍻
I'm disappointed that "Twin Peaks" didn't make the synonyms, given the name of the course.
Thanks G for always bringing us awesome content and personalities..
@@tourprovenYeah that's a pretty basic CYA reason right there - cheers man, all the best.
Brad is levels man, he could make a run at the tour if he really wanted to. Why go for tour though when you can kick it with good good ;)
My favorite duo in golf.
I think I make my license this year and then try to not screw up every shot I take 🙄
Enjoyed this content. Want to see Garrett play more 18-hole contests on this channel against great opponents like Brad.
The boys love strokin it together ❤
I think with a caddy and playing on some of the best courses in the world you have as much chance as anyone else! Just gotta stay in a good mindset like on GMgolf!
I'd say with LIV taking all the good players you are getting closer
You have absolutely no idea how good the players on the PGA tour really are.
@@concongocrazy1727 sarcastic
BD’s birdie putt on 10 was G’s trick shot awesome!
Hey great video, just at the end garret is -1 for a 71, just caught it at the end. Love the video though
With so many golfers in the tour being semi unknown to non super golf fans. And seeing them shoot over par. You can do it! Brad and Kwon should give it a try haha
Both have and can't
@@TheTeddyblack but times have changed. I’m seeing so many people being. It almost being +1 on the weekdays
You played with Min Wo Lee, if you can hang with him- you can make it. Also, tour course set ups are crazy hard. Approach shots need to be inside 20’. RUclips more fun and maybe more money than low line pro.
Only one way to find out G! Better to have tried and failed than to have failed to try! Advantage for you is you've already got a good good thing going 👌
garrett these guys on tour are young specimens like Woo Lee, or Old dudes like Sam Snead who win, when they are 50, u don’t need to make it this year or next, you have a whole lotta time ahead of you
Love the content G god bless take care of yourself first and for most and enjoy doing you
Love the energy of these videos
what is the ball tracker you are using?
Awesome video, boys. Nice and relaxing to watch ⛳👍
“That ran like it stole some thing”😂😂😂😂 crazy statement
I was so happy to see Brad on Love is Blind Season 6! I personally think he should've picked Jess Instead of Chelsea but I was happy for him either way!
Garrett, your potential for fame and fortune is far greater on RUclips than the PGA Tour
