I'm not smart so I'm going to ask a stupid question! Why are there no .357 Magnum PCC's/ Rifles? I seen a guy build an AR .357 about a year ago with a lower that used Desert Eagle Mags, WHY? No AK's either! Has anyone tried it on a Thompson?
Rimmed cartridges do not feed reliably from a magazine, it has been done but it's not great. A 10 mm has about the same ballistic performance and is available and reliable. If you're using factory ammunition and not reloading you will actually usually get slightly more performance out of the 10 mm, but the two rounds are very close enough to be considered equal..
@@CheeseBurgerXJIve seen a replica of the Thompson come out recently because it was cool sadly it was crap. Having said that the originals worked fine why not .357? @@actionjksnApple Pie and .357 these are American and have the hearts of the people. The AR I saw last year worked with Desert Eagle Mags that held 9 but only worked well with 5 in the mag.But who the hell wants to buy expensive DE mags?
Dude buy a Lever Action rifle if you are stuck on 357 Magnum cartridge. 357 Magnum and it's Big fat rim is best left in Revolver's and tube fed rifles NOT box magazines. 357 Magnum Desert Eagle is lame because of the capacity and that is because of the Big fat rim that doesn't work well for stacking in box magazines. Plus the prices that I have seen for 357 Magnum lately are ranging from $75-$115 per Box of 50. If you actually want usability then get a PCC chambered in 357 SIG/40 S&W or 10mm.
The weapon is pretty cool. Two 5 round mags kind of sucks you should have the option of 2 20 round mags at least. For the money you might as well get a m1 garang.
Still trying to figure out why the BCA is a full $1,000 more than the Great lakes GL10. After handling both in person there isn't a lot of difference as far as quality goes in machining it and finish. Great lakes comes with a stainless barrel versus your carbon barrel. The other question I have is why the hell has everyone came up with this five round magazine. Should have at least been 10. Plenty of space to do so. I understand the magazine would have to have a curve to it. But five rounds is kind of just sad for what this is.
And by the way BCA is love my ar10 308 that i customized after the great deal you guys gave me it shoots half inch moa all day at 50 yards + !!! 👍🏻👍🏻💪🏻💪🏻🇺🇸😎
Unfortunately the AR-10 can't accommodate those long cartridges. The AR-10's 308win C.O.L. is around 2.8 inch while the 300winmag and 30-06 are more like 3.3 inch.

Questions regarding mag size should also be addressed as well. It seems to me that there is little the 30-06 is going to offer compared to the slightly cheaper and slightly more common .308 (depending on the purchasers location) so the reason why the 30-06 was picked would be a good idea. What should be expected from this platform as well as many would be familiar with AR10 platforms and their compatibility issues across various manufacturers. Perhaps something addressing why I the purchaser should become invested in an BC-8 p[latform. Im intrigued but not sold.... yet.

some people like them
Ooh lah lah. I'm drooling.
Is it compatable with all standard trigger packs, including those that rely on the M16 style bolt carrier?
Hell yes
Are they at least AICS pattern mags if they're only 5rds
I would already own one in 300 WM and/or .270 but being limited to 5 round mags is a MAJOR turn away.
Will stick with my M1 Garand made in 57 of all new parts and is a safe queen. Plus has 3rd, 5rd and 8 rd enbloc clips not to mention accurate plus no M 1 thumb
Is the bc8 a gen1 dpms / ar10 lower? If I buy the 30-06 upper will it for my .308 style ar10 lower
So it's weight is " heavier". How many pounds is " heavier" exactly?
Sad, only 5 round magazine(s)? Need larger mags before such a purchase.
and be able to take b.a.r. mags.
its CaLiFoRnIa CoMpLiAnT
@kaptunkordan6656 no, the market segment it's intended for is hunters and target shooters. In a lot of states you're not allowed to have more than 5rds loaded in a long gun during season
@@wizard_of_poz4413 most states do not have a magazine capacity ban
@@kaptunkordan6656 look it up. It pertains to long guns during hunting season and it might be county based. But it's not a magazine ban. Like shotguns only being allowed to have 3 shells
What range do yall use I've been looking for a decent outdoor range around Sanford.
They already have one, its name is BAR..😊😊
Do you sell just the upper?
They do for $999
It says it's for the bc8 only though. Is the bc8 a dpms gen1 .308 lower or does it have proprietary features .
When are we getting a belt-fed upper
Is that a "standard" AR10 lower receiver?
The BC-8 is a proprietary platform that is bigger than an AR-10.
Do these come with auto BCGs?
Are you ever going to have them in stock?
1:8 twist 270WIN version and i will buy
I think I just fell in love ❤❤❤
I NEED IT!!!!!!!!
Man, I like the budget options they are just all poor qc. Everyone I had, I have had to do basic look arounds on. The upper. From screws being loose and dust covers not locking to being very overgassed. It makes it hard to want to keep buying these kinds of products. Got to wonder if a heavier caliber will make the parts just fall off
Very sorry to hear that. All our products have a lifetime warranty if anything is not satisfactory; I'm sure you know but just had to confirm. If you send an email with the issues you discussed to bcatech@bearcreekarsenal.com they can pass that feedback on to the appropriate parties
Good luck, looks cook
Where's the quadstack version at?
😎.
Can you get bigger magazines?
Wowwwww
You need to reload to afford it but this is amazing.
I'm listening.
Hope they reinforced the receiver.....30-06 can kick.
I think it has to do with feeding a rimmed round that makes it difficult and/or unreliable
Also the AR .357 with the Desert Eagle mag I saw last year worked. The mag held 9 but only worked well with 5 but the choice of DE mags is ridiculous, there f______ expensive!
Is the lower a standard AR 10?
No it is proprietary to the oversized long action upper you should know by the cartridge
The BC-8 is a proprietary platform
Why did you put a puddle under the 200 yard steel? I wanted to see the group out to 200.
Only a couple that make a semi auto 30-06 ?
At 2$ a round I wonder why 🤔
At least the NEMO comes in 300 Win Mag with 14-round mag.
When stendos?
They need to do a 7mm rem mag
I absolutely love mine but I wish I would have waited, because now it's $300 cheaper and now you get an extra mag!🤬
Is this a custom lower or a ar-10 lower?
The BC-8 is a proprietary system
So this is and ar10 platform ?
The BC-8 is a proprietary platform that is bigger than an AR-10.
Unfortunately the AR-10 can't accommodate those long cartridges. The AR-10's 308win C.O.L. is around 2.8 inch while the 300winmag and 30-06 are more like 3.3 inch.
Basically a ar10 despite what they say
HCAR comes with 30 round mags. Step it up!
Can we get a video subsonic suppressed and see how she cycles. Recoil mitigation looks super good for 30-06. I'm generally a .308 to 300 winmag guy and usually skip 30-06, but I would love to try this platform. I like the the side charge on this.
I’m on your website and there’s no BC-8 in 30-06 or 300 win mag only magazines. Bear Bot only says check your order here…..
