You guys should focus on making those bolt action uppers in more desirable calibers. Or just sell the bolt/upper without a barrel so we can put our own on
I saw a lot of people suggesting the 308 in the AR-10, which would be a fantastic idea. To be fair, the 350 and 450 are good options to start that idea off with. They may just be trying this idea out and working their way up.
@@mikecollins8241 I would like to challenge you to a 200 yard accuracy test against my Aero guns if you're ever in New England. You will see fast why your uppers are so cheap.
I honestly can not complain about any of my BCA models. I worked through the initial issues to make them mission ready and reliable pieces of kit. I would only suggest upon arrival, go through the specs and tighten up anything you find loose. As a former armorer, I just go through anything I buy, a complete dismantle, clean and reassemble to specification. This video is full of very good information. Thank you.
Im considering one in 30.06. Best all around cartridge on the market IMO. Large choice of ammo. Huge choice of reloading components. Can be used from varmints to brown bear (at reasonable ranges). Time tested... mother approved.
The .243 will reach out to 1k just as easy. Fast twist and 115 grain projectiles. Problem with the .243 is manufacturers refuse to increase twist as it gives up nothing to the 6 creed. Folks fall for hype faster than the did for their spouses. The .260 and 7mm-08 are great cartridges.
No it won’t. Put that into any ballistic calculator. 243 is dead at 1000 and definitely won’t do it just as easy. It has a G1 below .5, and yes I know, it’s G7 that matters.
20 inch 243 upper with brake. Recoil is like a 77 SMK. Hand loading 10 shot groups around 1 MOA-1.25. Feed ramps did require polishing and bolt head issues. Total worth the money though.
I have always wanted to have a 375 Ruger custom AR style platform is dream of mine to build one ever since I first found an empty 375 Ruger casing. Maybe start with the AR 300 platform
Most practical and versatile is the 300 followed by 7 mm 08. The 7-08 is that sweet spot for sectional density and ballistic coefficient. 101 and 82 West probably and I don't know how long you can load the projectiles on those standard AR-10 magazines.
In times of high demand, the oddball calibers stay on the shelves longer. I believe this is because everyone is looking for 308, 5.56, and 9mm. Many people reload for their more rare calibers and aren't generally looking for loaded ammo, and fewer people are looking for the more rare calibers. I have had lots of people ask me for the common military calibers during the election time droughts. Nobody has ever asked me for things like 455 Webley or 300 Win Mag...
As you make these guns end barrels please consider how today the market has moved towards long heavy for caliber projectiles when deciding on the twist rates 22-250 is considered a classic dear caliber out of a longer 24" barrel bolt action. 600 yd prairie dog hunting.
Because frugality is ALWAYS a concern for me, .308 is my choice for this category. But I haven't seen a 24 or 26 inch heavy stainless barrel available.
They should focus on quality of what they already make. The last item I got the bolt I’d put together wrong and was set up to eject to the left instead of the right on my ar-10 in 308 last thing I’ll buy from them
I'm a big fan of BC and the variety of calibers you guys offer. I would love to see a modular AR-10 pistol design that can shoot AR-10 and AR-15 caliber. Something similar to the modular Colt LE901-16SE.
Great presentation. It seems everyday someone is adapting the AR platform to another cartridge, but this is a great start to a never-ending conversation. It helps the presenter is smooth and very easy on the eyes.
