Finally a great install on these seat covers! Been hesitant to do my driver seat until now! Gonna redo my foam and bottom cover this spring and perhaps replace the heating unit as well.
I used the eBay covers and they are not as good as these covers but fit well. Front 2 seats cost me less than $225 with drivers seat base foam. The foam was almost $100. The looks are the same. Like he said the seat foam is insanely comfortable.
The driver seat bottom on my old 2006 2500HD Silverado work truck needed new duct tape, but I decided to spring for a $35 seat cover from Walmart. To do only the bottom cushion, there is no need to remove the entire seat from the truck, but a flashlight is handy. Gloves helped with my grip and protected me from the sharp frame edges. The two front nuts are easy to reach and remove with a 13mm socket. Tilt the cushion up slightly and slide the rear pegs out of their slots. Tip the cushion up out of the way and disconnect the wiring. (Mine had no power seat controls.) It is not necessary to unsnap the wiring around the frame, but the electrical plugs are infuriating. The old seat cover did not want to come off. A sharp knife cut open the cover along the bottom edge on one side and made the rest easy peasy. Trying to do the hook and loop with the new cover first got me off to a bad start. Stretching the pleather over the cushion and hooking it to the frame seemed impossible from any side and it was crooked. Removing the cover and starting over completely, I decided to hook the rear part while it was loose. The hook and loop could take care of itself. Then I stretched the cover over the cushion on all sides. Still unable to stretch it far enough to hook the sides and front properly. But guess what. The factory did not have the front hooked either, on the driver seat or the passenger seat. Who knew. Later this summer after it warms up and I've... broken it in, I may try stretching it again. But in the meantime it looks good and works great.
it would be dang nice to know a head of time to know how much to save up for the rear end bottom db foam's & the top & bottom seat covers for our 00-06 chevy's or our gmc's........ i looked all over & can't find prices on these here like u did in your truck there ............................
I'm curious how you got a passenger side lower foam. I've been wanting to do both lower seat foams, upper and lower skins, and heaters but I haven't been able to find a passenger side lower foam. I didn't see the passenger lower foam listed on their website. Did you call them to get one? Is this a new product for them?

It was a misspeak on my part. It is a second drivers foam for when I do my rear seat.
