one of the very Best instructional videos that I've watched! Made my installation so much easier. And reinforced my decision to buy from The Seat Shop. Thank You!!
Glad we could help! If at all possible please send us some before and after pictures we love making our covers but love seeing them installed even more. If you do have some please send them to our Sales@theseatshop.com email
Great video man, thank you! Was thinking about replacing the cushion, heater grid and maybe the cover on my '02 YukonXL. Those 308,000 miles have flattened that cushion like a pancake. The leather is actually in great shape. Loose since the cushion is almost gone though. Thanks again!
I just installed your seat driver cover (2002 Chevy Tahoe). The hardest part for me was getting the seat out of the car. Driver side right front screw is hidden under a plastic cover, and the rear ones are only accessible with the seat in a particular position - controlled by the electronic position adjuster. So it must be removed before unhooking all the wires.
(con't) I had a manual lumbar support adjuster - I could not get the cable disconnected from the bottom of the seat. The result was I could not separate the bottom from the seat back. I had to put the new covers on the seat and back, while keeping them close enough to each other so as not to tweak the cable. All in all it took me 4 hours. 3 hours to R&R the seat from the tahoe, 1 hour to swap the covers. I think a video showing seat removal would be useful. Thanks for a great product.
Great video guys. Was able to replace both cover and a new foam due to original being garbage. I hope I wasn't supposed to pull entire seat out like you guys did in video? I was able to accomplish with just bottom seat pulled out w/o the bottom part coming out. So the seat just pulled to redo seat cover.
Can you tell me if all of the seat frames for the 00-07 silverado/Sierra seats have the provisions for arm rests. I have o2 seats without and want to add armrests. Was thinking that I just need the cushions and the actual plate that holds the armrest pin are under my cushions but not used.
Hi Eric! Unfortunately we do not have products for this vehicle just yet which is why we do not have a video made. Once we have the seat covers available, we will be able to post a video of this process! Let us know if we can help you out with anything else.
It REALLY would have helped if you had said "use the motor to adjust your seat to the highest position and the middle front-to-back" BEFORE the 3-minute mark. I had to go drag the removed seat back to the truck and realign it and pull it out again. Maybe you can add this text the very beginning of the video as an overlay/popup.
@@TheSeatShop and yet after 5 years this video stands heads and shoulders above all the rest for all the right reasons - simply every single thing you could possibly need to know about how to take these seats apart and then put them back together again. The video and audio quality are both excellent and not a minute wasted on kitsch. Anybody that's smart is going to take the whole seat out of the vehicle and take it inside and set it on a workbench to complete the change over of the cover and foam. Just where else could you possibly get a video that's as helpful as this one?
I am told by my local shop that the seat heaters can be very fragile and that caution should be used not to break the wires that are in the seat heater. Is this something to be mindful of? Which sockets need to be the deep sockets? 11 and 15 mm?
HI there, we typically don't do installations (we're more of the manufacturer itself) but we work with a bunch of shops that can help with that. Feel free to click the link below and enter your ZIP to find shops that can help. www.theseatshop.com/resources/install-locator/

My 2001 Silverado cloth cover is in good shape but the foam is breaking down. Does the original cloth gets destroyed when pulling it apart?

Hey, great to hear your install went well! We usually recommend pulling the entire seat to make the install easier, but whatever works best for you!
Were there any specialty tools needed to remove bottom only and how long did it take?
Awesome video
What about removing the seat belt before you removed the seat
Perfect! Thank you.
Hey I've replaced the captain seat covers on my tahoe now can the rear bench seat covers be replaced??

Awsome job on the video ....it really helped alot thx a ton, Greg
+Kentucky65 Thank you!
So. What about when the seat controls stop working, and the seat is stuck in the full forward position....?
It could be the mechanism itself but you may want to take your vehicle in to get looked at, to confirm.
Will you guys do installation for me?
