I use the burrito method in bulk! After I get done cutting all my fabric, I fold in half and sew all of them and then I one by one do the burrito part without turning them right side out, then I turn them all right side out when I go to put in my thin elastic, after I do that to all of them then I sew the elastic and seam in one step. I love your XL scrunchie!

Hey! I love watching your videos while I sew. I am also a scrunchie maker and use the burrito method. You can do them in bulk by sewing in steps and it doesn't take too long. I am so happy you also liked big scrunchies because I have sewn one for my hair too. Haha, everybody around me is saying it’s weird and big. But it’s gorgeous!
Juki has a industrial straight stitch machine that can sew 12 layers of denim material. It’s the Juki TL 2010 Q. It has an extension table, quilting foot, standard pressure foot, and tools. In order to secure the machine to the table it has suction cups under the machine. I got it to do quilting, but it’ll sew just about anything. What’s the measurements of the scrunchie material and elastic you use? My hair is very long so I often wear it in a ponytail...putting a scrunchie over the hairband would look cute 🥰
If you don’t plan on selling the barrettes online. Would you consider sharing the measurements and your process on how to make them? And I love the headbands too!

Personally I prefer them to be re-tie-able so they can be used from birth to adult (or close to it) otherwise it's just another accessory that only only works for a few months before their outgrown
Taylah i just wanted to know what do you do after you run out of a particular material . Because it is always hard to find the same exact material that you want in stores .
Hey Jamunaa! Usually if the material is selling well I will go get more material within the first month of release and I can normally find it pretty easily, I get 1-2 metres which makes me about 18-24 scrunchies per metre. If I do eventually run out and If I can’t find the exact fabric again I’ll have to mark it as sold out. I usually keep an eye on clearance fabrics as I can usually find many of the patterns I sell in clearance eventually and I’ll purchase the whole roll usually. I’m very lucky to live 5 minutes away from my fabric store and they can usually order in any materials I need from other stores too by checking their systems 🥰
Very impressed with your work ethic I do have one suggestion however. I got on your Etsy site and you have a lot of really cool scrunchies for sale and I noticed you've got them bunched like different ones you know like the yellow green purple you know whatever but when you go to pick the color it's difficult to figure out on some of them exactly which scrunchie you're talking about. Does that makes sense?
Thanks Susan! I will be doing a massive overhaul of my websites after financial year (including new photos, listings everything really!) It should fix this problem ☺️
Those scrunchie earrings on the french hooks are adorable!!! I hope you sell the clips online someday too, since those are really nice and I love using clips like that. :)
Love the XL scrunchie. I use wide elastic in my large scrunchies too and I use the burrito method. Even though it’s a little difficult but the end product looks so good! Also a tip... I use the burrito method and I make sure to make the opening close to the first seam so that it’s easier to find later on.
Just got to the part about the towel scrunchies. I had this idea as well but turns out it’s patented for some bizarre reason. So be careful with that!! 😭❤️
That’s so crazy! So I just looked and everywhere I could find it hasn’t been approved yet. It’s been rejected twice, abandoned and restarted and is waiting on correspondence from the company that is trying to trademark the name ‘towel scrunchies’ I’m not sure they will get through tho honestly because that’s a very blanket term. Will have to keep my eye on the trademark/patent and see if it goes through! If you found where it has been approved tho please let me know but I couldn’t see anything new past 23/4/21 🥰💞
@@TaylahRose It’s by a company called /kit.sch/ I saw on their website it was patented, but it didn’t make too much sense to me, and I couldn’t find any other companies that have the product so I automatically assumed it was a real thing. I haven’t! I was going to purchase one from Bunnings/mitre 10 apparently they gave precision ones that are really good! I’ll have to look more into it 🥰💞
There is much debate around the topic of licensed fabrics, in Australia from the Australian copyright website it states “Can I sell items which I have made from items containing copyrighted materials? You will not generally infringe copyright by selling an item such as a coat hanger made from bananas in pyjamas material you purchased or a play suit... which the manufacturer printed with the simpsons... however, you may need to consider other areas of law if your item looks as if it’s authorised merchandise” So yes it is possible but also need to be careful not using trademarked names as that falls under other areas of the law (last sentence of that extract) But as I said many will have different interpretations and experiences but from my own research this is what I consider correct 🥰
@@TaylahRose thank you for your reply, that's really interesting. I think it makes much more sense than the way we do it here, where we can't sell anything made with licensed fabric (unless we got a license from the company to do so, and that's way too expensive to even be considered!).
Yeah in the US we can't sell it legally at all unless we pay the company for a sublicense. All legally made licensed fabric can only be used for personal use, and will even state so on the edge of th fabric! Interesting how different laws can be country to country

48:43 you should check out "XXL Scrunchie & Co" youtube channel. She makes these oversized XXL sized scrunchies. you can probably get some tips and tricks from her vids.
Thanks! Tina is lovely 🥰
@@TaylahRose Yeah. Tina's fun to watch.
26:06 oh. just had an idea. if you're able to burrito method the tiny earring scrunchie tubes, maybe they might be easier to put them into the hoops and the ends can stick out of the hole left over from burrito-ing/inverting. then you just need to figure out how to prevent the ends from disappearing into the tube. 🤔
Ordering things from China is such a pain most of the times ugh 🤦♀️ but everything you made is beautiful 🤩
It definitely can be!! Thanks so much 💞🥰
please create tutorials on each of the new products. we would greatly appreciate it. you inspired me to start my own scrunchies business. please share the measurements, if that is ok. thank you. wish you more success!
I may in the future! I want to be completely confident in making products before sharing tutorials as that way I can share the best knowledge, tips and skills 🥰💞
I IOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND THE FABRIC COLOUR,

Have you seen the cordless hot glue gun at Spotlight
I haven’t! I was going to purchase one from Bunnings/mitre 10 apparently they gave precision ones that are really good! I’ll have to look more into it 🥰💞
I love your videos
Thank you 😊💞
Are you able to sell items made from licensed materials in Aus? We can't, here in the UK, due to copyright laws and it makes me sad!
There is much debate around the topic of licensed fabrics, in Australia from the Australian copyright website it states
“Can I sell items which I have made from items containing copyrighted materials?
You will not generally infringe copyright by selling an item such as a coat hanger made from bananas in pyjamas material you purchased or a play suit... which the manufacturer printed with the simpsons...
however, you may need to consider other areas of law if your item looks as if it’s authorised merchandise”
So yes it is possible but also need to be careful not using trademarked names as that falls under other areas of the law (last sentence of that extract)
But as I said many will have different interpretations and experiences but from my own research this is what I consider correct 🥰
Sometimes change is for the better 😊. Xox
