You asked what to do with the board the elastic comes on. Cut an empty one down to the length you want your elastics to be. Wrap the uncut elastic back on it, tie something around the middle to hold everything in place, then cut all the elastics at each end. (Like making a pompom.) Cut the whole roll without doing all that measuring.

Hi. Love watching you! For cutting elastics, have you tried wrapping around a piece of cardboard the size you need and cutting both ends thus doing dozens at once?
Thanks Karen! I have tried this when I did masks but ended up with very uneven strips of elastic (some were way to long and others short) I may give it another go and be more careful wrapping!

Thank you so much 🥰
Hi. Love watching you! For cutting elastics, have you tried wrapping around a piece of cardboard the size you need and cutting both ends thus doing dozens at once?
Thanks Karen! I have tried this when I did masks but ended up with very uneven strips of elastic (some were way to long and others short) I may give it another go and be more careful wrapping!
ur hand one is it rose gold metallic

Did you sell at markets when you first started your businesses
Thank you! I did a few markets when I first started but I was 15 at the time so I didn’t want to put to much strain on my parents taking me places. I waited until after I finished school and got my license to do markets regularly
Did you need a license when you were 15 to do markets
Drivers license ☺️ we can’t get one until we are 18 here in Victoria Australia (well until we can drive alone without a parent)
Sorry I read it wrong. 😆 I meant like any liability documents etc. for the markets when you were 15.
@@isabelbernard4700 I needed public liability to do markets! You’ll need that regardless of age as it’s dangerous to do markets without it (you could be sued etc) this doesn’t cover your products if they injure someone tho
You inspired me alot. Im from South Africa im Hylanie and i also make Scrunchies but only sell at markets and i make alot of other items that customers want. And my business name is HR Crafts just for you. But im still busy with my socail media but to shy to do videos 🙈 and stil trying the sociak media. Thank you for your awesome videos i just love it all.
That’s great Hylanie! Thank you so much for sharing 🥰
Congrats. Im curious roughly what percentage of your sales come from markets vs online.
It really depends on the week! Always different ☺️
Heyo! Caitlyn from Berwick VIC, and I make clothing and accessories out of predominantly second-hand materials :)
One hour??? You're spoiling us!
Btw I'm from Indonesia and I love how foreigners appreciate handmade products and willing to pay more (I subscribed to you and other scrunchie business channels)
I sell handsew scrunchies for 40 cents each (in Australian currency) with local materials but nobody buys since there's a marketplace in my country that sells cheap stuff straight from China, the buyers don't have to pay for tax and sometimes free shipping (normal shipping fee is only around one dollar for my city)
Should I make a RUclips channel for my business?
Thank you! I think RUclips’s a great platform to share your love for making so if it’s something your passionate about then go for it! 😁💞
I been doing that for 5 days
