Edit! Traxxas has just released the 2wd VXL version with the Heavy Duty upgrades. My comparison videos are obsolete at this point! The more proper comparison would be:
    Fury 223S vs Slash VXL

also awesome informative reviewalso dude a benefeit of the hcg is that there is a space in the back you can put the esc in that little box which helps with the weight being on the back so on sakteparks when you aldn on the fron tires the enrgy can get transfered to the back better disspation of energy in a physcis persepective what do you thnk

@@sanjayshaun8450 Eh, doesn't affect much at all. It's already got the motor and diff in the back which is most of the weight of the whole truck already. Even with he LCG chassis it's about a 30% front, 70% rear weight distribution. Especially with the lipo installed, which is biased towards the rear. The ESC doesn't weigh much at all, so it doesn't matter where it's placed. Maybe on the 4x4 you'd want it towards the rear, but there's so much weight in the rear of the 2wd as is, it doesn't matter.
And in terms of material, the LCG is actually a slightly stronger plastic. Less brittle and lighter weight.

I just got a fury, and slapped a old vxl-3s system in it. I love the design, but arrma really needs to release some parts for them. Particularly we need some options for the spur gears. Granted I'm using the stock pinion that came with the truck, but it's slow as hell compared to all the slashes I've owned on 2s. Almost seems like it was faster brushed. Otherwise it's a cool truck. Servo died after one drive though 🥲

@@minibike2099 yeah it seems slower than my Castle Slash, as you could see in this video lol. But I also am using the stock pinion gear, so it probably wants some more gearing!

@K5_RC yea i like it a lot, my first arrma and it definitely seems beefy. But the servo is a ticking time bomb from what Ive read. Literally ran one 2s lipo thru it, just lightly bashing it around the yard to break it in. Servo was fine, Then swapped to the old Traxxas vxl3 setup I had, with a new flysky gt5 and the servo shorted when I was calibrating the remote and esc. So I threw a Traxxas one I had in there 🤣😂 truck is a rolling blasphemy now, arrma gods are gonna hate me. When I get a bigger pinion I'm gonna try the same hobbywing esc you have but with a 3660 3700kv and see how she rips.

traxxas has so much to offe thanks to a very old platform and lots of third party component. It have also been raced so much than the public and affectionated customer will always have a sweet spot for it. Arrma fury has middle rear motor mount, LCG chassis and out of the box brushless ready transmission (the base version) overall super durable and can still be improved. I would go for the slash if u are an experienced driver and u want also to race, so u buy basically a used chassi roller version for nothing and u put a nice hobbywing and a decent servo, the fury i would get it blx (with gyro, metal servo btw) for random bashing and some nice fun for young and newbie too, thus going in it with the idea of just keep cleaning it and playing but not investing any money.

@@enricomiceli5517 I 100% agree. The Slash is more of a project than anything. Endless aftermarket makes it so easy to make a custom build.
The Fury is definitely better out of the box by a long shot, especially the brushless one being less expensive than the brushed Slash and still faster, tougher, and better handling. Just doesn't have the customization the Slash offers

In general, though, I usually break arms at the skate park with most trucks.

@sanjayshaun8450 both really.. 0.48p gears are really touchy. One tiny change in mesh and they strip because the gears are so tiny. Bigger gears like mod 0.8 or mod 1 don't strip as easily because even when mesh gets slightly moved, they are still meshed good enough most of the time.
