I run the 272R trans with 500k diff fluid on the 2wd. I converted my slash into a pavement drifting Toyota tundra check it out brotha! Great video! That diff looks bulletproof
Good question - few reasons. We tried to keep the spiral cut weight as low as possible being the first reason. Second is that while aluminum is nice, they are also wider in diameter than plastic. Which means they are great if your putting in plastic housing but not so good if your putting in aluminum housing (since they have a slightly larger diameter they will bind if installed in aluminum housing without modifying them slightly).
@ yep they are - if you order, when you get them just be sure to either top off the grease or add your choice of diff fluid. Already comes greased up, but usually not topped off / packed. So just do that and these diffs will last a really long time with zero issues.
@@j-1lokes294 it comes with our spiral kit helical diffs and pinions. The casing is not aluminum though. Have a video on them so be sure to check them out.
We need a diff set like this for the Mini Maxx.
@@Jarcademis we’re working on it 🤗
@ a center diff would make a big difference on the Mini Maxx. Looking forward to that! Happy new year
@ copy that and you as well 😊

Sounds like nice rig. Would like to see your conversion. I converted mine into buggy and a truck. Now I’m working on a stadium truck. 4x4.
Why there is no version with aluminium housing AND sprial cut?

@@CobraRacingRC I'm using spiral cut gears and aluminium covers together since years without problems, before Traxxas parts, now all vitavon.
Guess building new diffs for my slash will be another project in the near future✌️
Is this a newly released metal diff housing or the same as your old one you have been offering?
We did improve the internal gears (mainly output gears), but same diff otherwise.
@CobraRacingRC so where the gear has a hole for the axle set screws it's still the same? Had a problem with your diff gears breaking there before.
@ yes those are the output gears. We changed up the material and hardened the steel on them. So they are super tough
@CobraRacingRC That's all I wanted to hear. Are these now available on your site?

Hi there I was on eBay shopping. Notice your complete aluminum transmission housing complete. Does it come with the aluminum differential as well?

I would like to see That video. Are you the owner of cobra racing?
@@j-1lokes294one of the managing partners, so yes 😊
I’m waiting on maxx slash upgrades 😢
They are coming 🤗
Damn... where is the top diff?😂
