Congrats on getting featured on the official iRacing channel.
You don't get a lot for free in these, but it's always nice to see people still willing to go hard and manage to keep it clean. Working through 2 cars for P4 in the end was genuinely good fun to watch.
Really nice balance this with the scrolling standings at the top. I love it 👌 Really good drive thru the pack too. Perfect amount of aggression/respect.

THIS is the format I like the best Dave! It's the view I have when racing and suits me just fine. The added info at the top is more like you would see on televised real life racing and keeps us informed as to how well you are doing.

A cracking motor race laddie! (channeling my inner Sir Jackie there) Yeah, Watkins Glen is a great place as is the entire Finger Lakes region. It's actually on the other side of Lake Ontario from me. :-)
I attended a round of TCR Australia at Phillip Island over the weekend, tempted to give them a go in iRacing, brings back memories of TOCA2.
Appreciate the bloopers, Dave! Just shows that it's not just a "hit the record button" job you're doing! Great race as well!! 💪👍

Can't wait to get back in to simracing when I move in to my house, had a G25 a long time ago on a desk and played LFS/iRacing, loved it, going DD this time though with a proper rig, triple screens etc.
Dave cheers from Up state NY I'm 45 min from Watkins Glen! I much prefer watching the slower cars as it's much closer racing with better overtaking. Love the POV races!
1000% recommend going to The Glen for the 6 Hours at The Glen. Its about 4-5 hours drive from NYC. I live about 20 minutes south and have gone to the track the last few years. IMSA weekend has Michelin Pilot guys (TCR/GT4) / Porsche Cup / Lambo Cup / Top IMSA guys in the Endurance Cup. Great camping weekend. If you need info, let me know.
Best view points are down the Chute, Turn 9 out of the Boot, Inside T1, and Bus Stop. Turn 10/11 are not the greatest but T10 does have a TV screen.

Love the camera angle and the chance to see what a higher sof split looks like. Just ran in a 1100 sof race where 1st and 2nd wrecked at the top of the S’s on lap 1 and took out half the field.

That was a nice bit of working through traffic. I also love this format, nice and clean. Literally EVERY sim racer puts all that data on the screen - instead you give us a PoV with a ticker, and it's bloody brilliant.
P.S. The Ricmotech SportsCar Series (GT4/TCR) is spinning back up in May if you enjoy running on North America time!
yeah ive stopped watching Dal King as his webcam covers the horizon... you cant see whats coming on any right turns. this is waaaaaaaay better

Just started getting into the touring cars, absolutely loving it! Really fun racing in every race I’ve been in so far, Audi is my favourite for Watkins so far, even though I’m slightly quicker in the Civic, just feels a bit more planted

Watkins Glen is 1.5hrs away from my house...wonderful track to visit and drive on. I will be down there multiple times this year with the vintage weekend culminating the heritage of the mustang this year. I have my GT500 entered in for the weekend in September and I cant wait!

man, I can't figure out how to drive my veloster. i also only play on controller, that's most of the problem, but it sucks bein so slow. Great race tho, you did damn good.
I’ve noticed that I tend to focus more on the track and the racing when I have no UI on my screen.

The Glen is a fantastic track, and I'm fortunate enough to get to drive it nearly once a year (). It's way Upstate though, and that accent is... not :)
Back to racing though, I can't seem to get the rotation you do into T1 while carrying any kind of speed. It's really frustrating. I'm mostly running the Legacy (NC) MX-5, because I like to row my own and it's closest to my actual car (1st Gen 86/FRS/BRZ). Any tips? I keep playing with my brake release from turn in down to the apex, and I feel either really slow or the car just pushes wide with very little middle ground between those two.
I've found T1 much easier if I get nearly everything done before turn in and get the car nice and settled. It's one of those where exit is far more important than entry 👍

Not too much for T1. Release of the pedal super smooth is critical 👍

It's the GSI Formula Pro L
Elite. You'd have to use a podium hub to get it to work but it'd still have to connect via USB 👍

Yes 27's. Angle is around 50 and distance is around 59cm 👍
