Last two weeks I raced PCC. Started from pits
Last week 32 cars
1st in class
11th overall
This week 27 cars
3rd in class
17th overall
I’ve learned to race the racetrack first, then let the race fall as it may.
You're a right cunning linguist in this one .. Perfect drafts and overtakes last couple of laps ... Great race marra!!
Did a Toyota GR86 Race at that track. Started from pits and then everyone in front of me started to kill each other at every overtake. I may have got P3 without overtaking anyone on track. It is just unbelievable.
Adding the iRating gain/loss to your Racelab overlay would make it even better!
I like the surprise. Plus, I think chasing the number can spoil the race 😁

how that guy managed a 7:20.... insane. been fighting with the fastest boys on the mid 23s and is already mental to keep that pace during 4 laps, with top5 separated by 2 sec in total
Martin is our new ring star. He always 2s in front of top guys optimal time. He will be famous or banned. We'll see

I appreciate that everyone fits their racing in when they are free, but do you find the racing better during the day Dave, rather than in the evening?
I very rarely race in the evening. During the day is pretty good for me although I cross over with the Aussies so ping can be an issue
Please consider showing your setup, since this is not a league - competition and there are no setups online for this series.. I am new to iRacing (3 months subbed) and I end up 2-3 seconds behind your pace at the end of the week, always wondering if having the same setup would have made the car a bit more helpful to my effort. Love your videos, keep it up!
This was a setup which I got from a friend but did a 7:24 with the iracing setup with less wing. The iracing setups are pretty decent 👍
@@davecamyt I ran the low down force setup on this car and it seemed dangerous to me, on braking and on lifting fast. Maybe it is your better technique that makes most setups seem decent :P
@@m4dalex478 yeah it is a little sketchy but when the tyres are warm it's not too bad. The setup I was using here had a wing of -3 instead of the -4 I was using with the iracing setup 👍
@@m4dalex478hi mate. Try to apply no more than 70% braking on civic. There are guides on how to make it your maximum brake pressure, if you can't consistently make it with your foot.
@@ross1680 I know mate, thanks for the reply! I have done 2 decent races with the Civic, but I do not feel comfortable with the iRacing low down force setup yet. I can drive it without crashing, but it can be a bit of a butt clench sometimes..

Noticed that your stream deck blinks red at either side at times. Is that a warning feature for cars at either side? Somehow it didn’t light up at 25:53 though

Hey Dave a little off topic. I am considering the slipangle haptic kit. In the review you mentioned that if they wanted it back you might buy it. Is it still on your rig?
Regarding the pit road no penalty - iRacing follows NASCAR style pit speed rules. So speed is calculated by time over distance, not top speed at any given point. You sped, but gave it all back right before pit exit by stomping on the brakes, hence you gained no advantage so there was no call.
I should learn this track. Have only done it a few times, and its not pretty. 😂

Nice Race in a not so often seen car. Great save at the end of the 2nd round. I've already seen you dieing ;-) Is the Civic also competitive in the Touring car challange?
99% of the time, yes. There's very little difference between all four TCRs, with the Audi having a slight top speed advantage.

i love tcr's, but i find iracings ffb on tcr cars is horrendous and doesn't feel anything like driving a car, racerooms tcr's are great though
The Honda is so STIFF when you're not on the throttle. Is that normal ?
