It is very interesting how differently we perceive the colors. I remember when we had an exercise in physics and the task was to observe spectral lines at the certain wavelength. Some people were able to see the line close to UV, some people were not. Years later, I liked entertaining my colleagues in the lab by changing the wavelength towards UV and asking them to tell me when they stop seeing the light.
This is the single best Porsche color ever made. It captures the exact mindset of the brand, it’s elegant and low key. From a far it may just look like white but once you look closer you notice the beautiful purple undertones. It’s not to flashy nor is it too subtle.
@@malinois71 good question, I produced the video, I'm not the guy in the video, but we both think it's cool, and exciting to see it recognized and appreciated by a new generation. I filmed a little bit about Moon Gem, but ultimately it was cut for time and to stay more focused on Justin's story. But it's very possible it will be addressed in a follow-up or expanded video 😄
Love your channel, bro! I did another drift event at Sebring this weekend with a Canon T7 kit. Utter trash. The Nikon Z5 kit I used in Orlando was so much better, but now I want a Fuji X100V ... and apparently so does everyone else on the planet. 😭
Very cool, and thank you! I'm always asked about cameras recommendations, especially sorta 'starter' cameras, and I want to do a video about this. I was curious about the Z5, but I will maybe research the Fuji as well
The SC Coupe was sold on BaT in 2021: bringatrailer.com/listing/1979-porsche-911sc-53/ (I created the video but I'm not the person onscreen (Justin) that owns the cars)
Thanks a ton! Justin (the guy in the video) chose the music, and had the idea for sort of "sleuthing/caper" theme to the opening. It was fun to experiment and put that intro together, and I'm glad you enjoyed it 😄
I loved the opening scene with the angled shadow and car driving towards it. 👏
thank you! I love a good dramatic diagonal shadow 😄
I thought that was brilliant
I love how honest this guy is, great video.
thanks for watching!
A color as gentle as it is severe, as severe as it is subtle
well said 💯
Wonderful stuff, Kevin! Very well done.
thanks so much!
I have an allocation for a GTS Targa and ordered in PTS Moonstone! Can't wait!
Amazing! We talked about the new PTS+ "Mongem" in the interview, but it didn't make it into the edit. Maybe we'll cover it in a follow up video 😄
Moonstone on the morning of the blue supermoon!
🌝
Beautiful video and great story!
Thank you so much!

Science! I can't even wrap my head around this 😅

Couldn't agree more!
@@capturingthemachine How do you feel about the new take on this color, Moon Gem?

Saw one at Luft this year. Such an amazing color. Only time I’ve ever seen it.
Rad, I am sad to have missed Luft this year! That was very likely the SC Coupe that Justin had and paint corrected and then sold.
@@capturingthemachine yeah it looked like it! Even indoors the color popped like crazy.
Love this mate
thank you!
Adore this story!!!
thanks so much!

Would your former coupe be for sale? Would be interested in that car

Appreciate the reply
Intro is mega, watched it a few times. Story is also well told, don't want to downplay it, but that intro... Keep it up 🤘🤘🤘

great story. love learning stuff like this more please!!
thanks so much!
Great video. But I am totally distracted by his hilarious cap with a plastic adjuster on the front.
hahaha yes, it's a very irreverent hat. Thanks Brad!
Great job. Appreciate the information and the passion. Looking forward to seeing the Taycan
thanks so much for watching and for your kind words 😄
Good one. Love this.
Thank you!
Loved this video. Justin is an awesome dude.
Couldn't agree more! The Moonstone story might have a new chapter sometime this year 🌝
💯👍
🙌
As a lifelong Porsche color guy having owned multiple PTS cars I appreciate another color fanatic, my passion are yellow Porsches 😀👍
Very cool, thanks for watching! Maybe your story can be the next chapter 😄
Early 70s stuff just rocks
