I'm sorry but where do you see aggressive ergonomics on the 8R ? Its bars are as high as a sports tourer, lol. R7 has a way more aggressive position. So does RS 660. Unfortunately, because i wanted 8R to be way more sporty than the naked version.

Nah. I understand you and i do love the aggressive riding style of a lot of these bikes. However, a lot of times we like to look cool but not have a back ache. There is a big market for riders like those. I would love to buy one as a sport bike but also as a commuter. That's the reason the CB500R sales so good. Good on you Suzuki for finally putting something new and cool on the market! Now how about getting on the those 20 - 30 + year old dual-purpose bikes (DRZ400 / DR650S) and giving them some love? Update lighting and gauge clusters, modernize ergonomics for stand up riding, and maybe EFI? Would be awesome to punch DRZ400 out to 500cc as well.

I do think I like the new "face" of the GSX bikes, whether it's GSX-S1000 or the 8S or the 8R. However, I hope Suzuki puts this face on the GSX-S1000GT (the GX version gets it). This 8R bike reminds me of the niche that Ducati has with it's Supersport, but more affordable, reliable.

It's meant to be a mid-way ergonomics package between a naked sports bike and a race-oriented supersport. If you want more racy ergonomics in a twin-cylinder format, the R7 would be that package. This 8R bike reminds me more of the Ducati Supersport in terms of ergonomics and niche of riding. Or think of the old VFR800.
