I seen all of the review videos available and this one of the best. Thanks Emad! I live in the PNW and have ridden this bike for about 600 miles. Ready for my first maintenance.
Weird question but as a beginner I dont know much, is it possible to lower the clipons (and maybe also change the footpegs position) to make the riding position more aggressive like the R7?
The GSXR 1000 changed quite a bit from the K1 to its last iteration. To say it hasn’t changed for decades is streching things a bit. I think the K5 is the one to have.
The Suzuki GSX-S750 inline-four sounds way better than this parallel twin. Kudos to Suzuki for the design of this bike which looks really nice. Thanks for the video .
Yep this is really just a naked bike, with fairings. Comfy riding triangle, torquey engine, and a bit heavy. The gixxer 750 is a super sport ( aggressive ergo, high revving high hp engine, etc.) thanks for watching!
i wish this bike was a detuned gsx r 750 with handlebars rather than a ptwin snooze fest. goood to see suzuki can put a tft and some tech on a bike, tho why they havent updatd the gsxr 1000 with the items this has i cant say.
Gixxer 1000 is a beautiful bike. It’s like the 4Runner of bikes. Hasn’t changed for decades but people still buy it regardless. But an update would be epic!
Not a snooze bike. I had a Bandit 12S, in-line 4, 100hp, 70ft/lb torque, 1200cc. The 8R has at least as much felt torque as the Bandit. It's quick, nimble and very torque'y. It's not a racer but it will give you a run for the money.
@@emadreviews The GSXR1000 changed quite a bit from the K1 to its last iteration. To say it hasn’t changed for decades is streching things a bit. I think the K5 is the one to have.
Things like turn signals might be farmed out to another company, and Suzuki may have a contract with them. That's the only reason I can think of for halogen lights.
I say it's worth it. I have no need for an inline 4, and the GSX-8R is perfect for me. Had mine for about a month now and love it already! First thing I did was definitely a tail tidy haha
These new twin engines don't hold a candle to 20 year old inline 4s in hp but theay are making some decent torque which would be good for stunt people just don't thonk you're gonna out run a old inline 600.
Sir, ask humbly, I love your reviews I’m asking that you speak a bit slower or leave breathing space in between paragraphs. Otherwise it’s hard to keep paying attention.
I bought this bike in blue a month ago, sold it back to the dealership last week for a Kawasaki ZX10R. For over 20 years I’ve had Honda CBRs so I thought I would try something different with the GSX 8R, but it’s a very boring bike. Hell I even got the ecu flashed by TST Industries, installed the full Akrapovic exhaust system, but still found it boring. Now it is a very comfortable bike to ride for hours and hours, but I think anyone who has had sport bikes you’re going to be disappointed in this bike.
You will love this bike! It’s beautiful and rides fantastic!! I’m just used to a more sport bike feeling, so my thoughts are a comparison:) safe travels!!!
I really like this bike but seriously.. since when cant people hold in a start button for 2 seconds or need help not stalling the bike. If you haven’t mastered those things you don’t belong on a 800cc. Only thing that puts me off are those front lights 🤮
It depends. If they just follow the other manufacturers they will stay behind them. They need to make the right changes. ABS still sucks. Cut it. MySpin is a waste of time and doesn't add value. Cut it. Automatic transmissions are stupid. Electro Crap suspension is stupid. Access to the ECU. So we can adjust our own fuel maps, without spending a bunch of money to do it. None of the 8s/8r have fully adjustable suspension. E=mc E!=mc^2. If the weight of the bike goes up the size of the brakes don't need to be smaller. You can replace halogen turn signals for led turn signals for $7 per pair. From amazon, then you get fast flash too. TFT dashes are better then LCD. I think analog tachs with LCD numbers are the best though.
Yes, we live in world that some a$$holes from EU parliament decides what we want... Everybody throw this stupid rear fender to trash thats how ecology works in Europe... Front lights like Aprilia RS660, CBR650R or Fazer 6s, rear light like CBR 650R '24 or TST1 Industries and there is no better bike. It looks amazing form side. I bought myself silver one few days ago...😁
In the States, the newer motorcycle community associate the GSX range as being 'gay' and for squids only. I can imagine this has really affected the sales of the brand.
I've received nothing but compliments from other riders about the 8R. After 20 years in the US Navy, I would consider myself a squid anyway (squid is another term for a sailor).
I've raced bikes from the age of 8yrs old. 3 Super Bike racer in my 20's - Rz350 , RZ500 & FJ1100 - I've test driven the GSX. This bike is more on the side of an interstate cruiser vs an urban street racer.
You mean most 600CC “super”sport bikes? Keep in mind this is a naked bike with fairings. The fairings don’t make this bike a supersport. And therefore the ultimate goal here isn’t speed. It is comfort, and it is indeed more comfortable when compared to a supersport. Thanks for watching!
dude, you’re under rated asf!

Just bought one for $9000. Picking it up from the dealership tomorrow.

Thanks for watching! Glad you enjoyed the video:) Ride safe.
I like the styling of the 2007 GSXR better than the current model. It just looks sharper and more aggressive.
The tool for removing a front seat was in your hands clipped by factory under the rear seat you picked up. Good video.
I want one of these so badly! Great video mate!
Thanks for watching!

Anything is possible if you spend enough money!
I can't believe Mike Shinoda's now hosting bike content on RUclips

Very Impressive Review! Subscribing you right away
Great to have you! Thanks for watching
I have the ZX14R. But I admit that I do like the way this bike looks. It's nice for a middleweight.
Also that exposed headlamp setup is a massive bug catcher, not great for cleaning.
truly the doug demuro of bikes!
Is this bike suitable for a short person and is it too heavy? I am using R3 and then I am thinking of buying this.
You just got a new subscriber, great video
Welcome to the channel!
That 72ish torque figure quoted is in NM. It's more like 55 or more ftlbs.
Eh you’re right. I’ll recalculate the score
09:10 My 2018 KTM 390 does this easy mode thing already, it's a nice feature but not really that new.

I can't decide between this and the Daytona 660 for my first big bike (over 125cc).
Prob whichever you think looks better
a triple beats a twin evey day of the week. shame about the shit dash on the 660
@@kwicksandz yeah shame about the dash. but at least it has turn by turn navigation through phone connectivity, compared to the 8R.
the CBR650R was the choice for me, simply can't beat the sound of a 4 cylinder with an Akra exhaust...

You do need an aftermarket pipe to release the beast ....then they sound great , not unlike an mt07 with a pipe.
so this is not replacement for Gsx 750-R Sir?
Nope. Just an addition to the team.
Nice bike for the price, I like that Suzuki is trying something different. Seems like a nice offering to compete with Yamahas twin cylinder bikes
GSX8R or ninja 650?
Tail tidy still worth getting

Yeah could be something really complicated. But then again, I, the consumer, only care about the outcome not the process.

It wasn't meant to compete with 4s. It's a torque oriented motor for multiple platforms.
