I have a 3/4 proportioner. Will this cause any major problems in restrictions since it’s not 1 inch? I would run everything the same as you minus the proportioner. Just bought the 3/4 so I would hate to get a 1 inch if it wasn’t too much of a difference.
9 Gallons a minute @60 PSI, with a head lift of 95 ft and an intake lift of 26 ft at 0 flow you can leave any 12v or 24v SSW superpums behind, you wil have it avaliable as long as you have gas on the tank, it will not decrease. I'm in south Florida, been wondering why these pumps have been sold out at Harbor Freight. Lots of housewashing guys down here. Glad it's working out. Might try it myself someday. Thanks for the info. 👍
Love the video and idea, I was gonna try this with a roller pump and found out a guy had already done so. For bypass he used 20 ft of hose and ran it back into the line before the pump with high psi check valve after the proportioner to prevent back wash. But if it’s not heating up no worries.
Also I was considering that roller pump as well before I started messing with this idea. Saw a video on it as well but seemed like more of a hassle to get it to work compared to this

@@chrisselina3474 Slightly better than the Chapin 7GPM 12v pumps that I use. So it's got some pros and cons, no battery to worry about which is a big plus but definitely more noise especially running at 4,200 RPM which is higher than the pumps rated RPM of 3800
Tried this a few years ago.. it worked great for about 45 minutes then it literally ate a hole through the aluminum pump.. used a 70 psi pressure relief valve back to tank (we use a batch tank for anything SH).. Also had a new 2" Pacer chemical pump which we then tried (we used 2" pumps to spray asphalt sealer so we had a backup on the shelf) the Pacer worked amazing but had to be reduced and play with the return to tank valve to bypass properly.. ..
No issues so far. If the housing gets ruined they have replacements. I have one extra housing for this reason. This far outweighs replacing a 12v like I did starting out for me however
I would definetly want parts and maybe a pumbing video on this. Love the flow. I also would like to ask. Do you need to have the trigger pulled when turning on and off like the p40 and ar45?

Great idea and build worse case just swap out to an AR45 gas pump all other components are rated, thinking the SH will eat that pump up quickly? The impeller and seals are rated for water , not SH or chem? Please Sir do a future video telling us how long in time/how many jobs it held up for? Might still be worth it! Rinse it well after each use is obvious. Best Regards Rich
A guy I’ve talked to has been using the 2 inch. Had a small hiccup with his housing but replaced and was told it was working great. I assume it is still working for him. So far mine has held up fine. I’ve been dealing with video quality issues and I am currently waiting for a new mic to come in to do my 3 month review on mine
@ As of right now, we batch mix. I’d like to make one of these soft wash pumps. The only thing is it seems to use quite a bit of GPM we would run out very quickly. If I used a proportioner with a 250 gallon tank for water and 125 gallon SH tank along with surfactant would that last longer than just a few minutes with this pump? Thanks.

I have a 3/4 inch proportioner so I reduced the intake to 3/4. It did not perform well. I dropped a inch drop stick and fed 1 inch into the tank and it was a lot better. Have you tried anything but 1 inch? I hate to redo all my fittings in my proportioner.
All I really need to know now to complete my build is what fittings are you using for the suction side and the spray side? Just a 1” pvc reducer? Really just needing to know what kind of threading adapters I’m gonna need! I can figure the hoses and stuff out just needing to know the adapters you’re running on the in and out sides! If you can boss.

No proportioner yet. If I keep everything else the same do you think it will pull a large batch mix through a one inch drop stick? (Working on building a proportioner.)

I used the same exact machine 4 years ago... The only problem is when you let off the gun, it keeps trying to pump. If you had a way to bypass this, it would be great. I hooked up a 2-inch fire hose, too it and washed soap3d down a 7000 of house in 30 minutes. I had help with the hose. But then I hooked up a 3/4 hose and it worked better but it still had no bypass. A bypass would be ideal.
Not sure what you mean it keeps trying to pump. The pump is a centrifugal pump, it doesn’t build up more pressure the longer you are off trigger. Bypass are always ideal but I haven’t had any issues yet. I was considering moving to 3/4 hose, but was worried it would be more annoying weight wise…

The pump does stay cool. I try to not go over 5 minutes being off the trigger just to be safe. The pump design is a centrifugal pump so it can handle it for a while. I’m sure we can implement a bypass system in some sort of way if we need to. But so far no issues where it’s needed
Only had to prime it the first time. I have a ball valve on my hose that keeps it primed when I take the gun off to store. I suppose if you leave the gun on and don’t pull the trigger to release what’s in the hose you won’t have to prime again

The pump is rated for pool water, as long as you flush the system you should be fine. I expect issues long term of course with corrosion but the pump is far outlasting its price to replace and the reliability of 12v systems
Well it’s aluminum so no rust. The housing might corrode eventually but they have replacement housings. No issues with this on mine however, could also run bleach neutralizer through the pump as well if you are worried about
@@30iuoenyc been using it for around 2 months. I mainly downstream but this works fine for stronger mix on concrete or a roof wash. Just made sure to flush every time I used it with plenty of water. So far no issues
@@30iuoenycI haven’t tested how long it will run with a full tank of gas really. It does have a small tank on it too. Bleach consumption just depends on what percent I’m throwing down. I haven’t been able to make any videos of it in action since I don’t get to use it too often as I mainly downstream
@@30iuoenyc I recently run a fuel consumption/running time @ full load with 300ft of 1/2" hose, I was surprise that it run for about 4 hours straight, did not run out of gas, I shut it down with about 1/8 of the tank, and the best part of the test, pump stay cool. YYEESS!!!

I have a water pump, but Im curious what happens when you close the gun off. The pump will keep building pressure in the line, no?
The design of the pump doesn’t build pressure. It might overheat so I wouldn’t do it too terribly long but so far no issues for me
You should test this without the hose reel and with a pvc wand to ditch the 1/2" stuff

What kind of chemical mix or pull do you get ?
Depends on the percent you use but I’m using around 15% so at wide open for both water and chem I’m getting roughly 6-7%

Anyone run this with 5/8" AG hose? See everyone running with 1/2" hose, wonder if there would be any difference using 5/8" from a true 1" manifold.

I wouldn’t. Any gas systems with higher gpm should use 3/4 or higher

You said 9 1/2 gpm. Is this the pump they advertise at 35 gpm?
Restriction in the pipes as well as distance of hoses reduces the output. 35 gpm is advertised right out of the pump, no hose
What about sh running through it. Wont it damage the pump?

How are you bypassing to keep pressure from continually building?
The pump isn’t designed to make pressure. The most it makes is 60psi

@cozmozreveng i also throttled up my engine but if you have everything like mine then you should be getting 9

You can’t adjust the pressure of the pump. The only way to get less flow is restriction in your lines.

How long have you been using this setup? And any idea of how many jobs you have used with it? Thanks in advance
@@30iuoenyc been using it for around 2 months. I mainly downstream but this works fine for stronger mix on concrete or a roof wash. Just made sure to flush every time I used it with plenty of water. So far no issues

@@30iuoenycI haven’t tested how long it will run with a full tank of gas really. It does have a small tank on it too. Bleach consumption just depends on what percent I’m throwing down. I haven’t been able to make any videos of it in action since I don’t get to use it too often as I mainly downstream
@@30iuoenyc I recently run a fuel consumption/running time @ full load with 300ft of 1/2" hose, I was surprise that it run for about 4 hours straight, did not run out of gas, I shut it down with about 1/8 of the tank, and the best part of the test, pump stay cool. YYEESS!!!
I guess the only downside is the pump being not made for bleach but maybe it will last a while, are you doing any kind of bypass? I know on the p40 I bypass with about 30ft of 1/2 line to keep the pump cool, does the pump stay cool with how you are running it now?
I was thinking the same thing I wonder if the warranty would cover that ?

No bypass. I go over that at the end of the video! So far no issues. I flush the pump every time I use it as well.
