Amazing series of ads put together with a fitting song. I have seen this video a long long time back, but managed to find the original song only recently. I must say this video does more justice to this catchy song that the original video does(in spite of it being full of CGI)! The irony! The artist is Karaja, btw.
Its 2023 and this commercial still gives me goosebumps. I honestly wouldn’t mind having a cute little car like this so i can haul ass to work and do wacky stunts lmao
I miss those exuberant car stunt commercials. They made driving seem interesting, unlike those single-shot canned stunts that take a small fortune and months of preparation to do, or those "watch our car look cool" ads we get now. This certainly has more a a couple of canned stunts but they looked more fun than a "super jump" or "car bungie" and cooler than speeding down some empty road looking cool at dust.
✭✭✭✭✭ For those of us who don't know what a 'stig' is: The Stig is a character on the British motoring television show Top Gear. The Stig's primary role is setting lap times for cars tested on the show, as well as instructing celebrity guests for the show's "Star in a Reasonably Priced Car" segment. The character is a play on the anonymity of racing drivers' full-face helmets, with the running joke that nobody knows who, or indeed what, is inside the Stig's racing suit.--Wikipedia
Back in the days when you couldn't "cheat" with CGI. What we know in Australia as the RB Gemini (the one in these clips is the model after it) weren.t the most powerful car out of the factory. It would take some talent to shoot these ads, although I would have loved to see the outtakes
No way! remember that it's a hell of a lot more of a challenge to get a Gemini to do these stunts, therefore makes it much cooler than letting something that was bred for rally (this was Isuzu's answer to the Toyota Corolla) doing it
Unfortunately a litigious society killed that kind of thing off. For comparison, look up some of Holden's ads over the years. Holden being the Australian division of GM. They've made some really cool ones over the decades. One of the most recent notable ones was for the VE SS Commodore ute, what America knows as the Pontiac G8 sport truck. With some amazing graphics, it goes through the evolution of what is an Australian institution and invention
Nice of you to post the video. It would be appreciated if you could have uploaded a video with better quality. This looks like it was recorded on a recycled rental porno VHS on EP mode.
The effects were. For example, the trench run from the very first Star Wars movie, it was filmed by making a scale model trench, and hanging a camera off a boom truck, driving it along the trench. All the models and night sky of space were overlaid on it
Even after all those years this car commercial gives me a smile from ear to ear! 😄
2:44 is stuck in my memories forever. The choreography. The music. Just magic.
What happened to ads today, this is literally gold
I love this ad - it'll never go out of fashion - timeless!
This will never get old.
This is the most awesome (car) commercial ever created.
The fact that they used the turn signal while running in an underground station is the cherry on top of this cake for me.
It's so many years since, and I still find this so beautiful and unique!!
They've sold me a new Gemini, 30 years later
Best car commercial ever in the world. I Drive a 1994 isuzu pickup truck all done up show winning truck. love your Isuzu's and commercials. :-)
The real thing is always cooler than CGI.
Just like a Mad Max movie, no matter which one, ALL the stunts are real. No way you could fake any of this in the mid-80s and make it look real
Fun facts:Isuzu wanted to make this commercial a perfect one. So they hired the car stunt team which performed for the 007 series.
greatest commercial ive ever seen! if they made commercials like this now i would rather watch the commercials and not the show!

值得尊重的真實演出
Now this is what you call an epic commercial
Some really good stunt drivning but sadly Rémy Julienne (stunt performer and coordinator) passed away recently
WIZARDS! There are wizards driving those cars! (Absolutely brilliant. :D )
japanese always awesome
yeah, but all had been made in france by a french team : remy julienne was the coordinator.
天皇陛下万歳
大日本帝国万歳
i keep on going into this video, awsome Japanese all the time🔰🔰🔰🔰🔰
2:35 Now THAT'S battle drifting XD

This is insane. Brilliant!

It's a shame that Isuzu stopped developing the passenger vehicles, though I still like their commercial vehicles.
They still make 4WDs, just not regular sedans and wagons
This is by far the most awesome car advertisement i have ever seen! love the music too. what's the song called? anyone know?
"she moves la la la" by Karaja

Good combination of Music and Stunt,
Nice Stunts.

They always ask if a Raptor has been jumped, but they never ask if a Gemini has been jumped.
SONG:
Karaja - She Moves (La La La) (Oscar Salguero Radio Edit)
No take all of mine , i want 8 times that car!!!
Amazing,.. now imagine that they make this ad again... but with Evos or Imprezas! That would be SUPEER! :D
Killer driving skill that's all i have to say

wt's the background music?
It's like the "Walk it out, Fosse" version of Gymkhana.
INKUREDIBURU!!!!
That's going to be my next car!
Ninjas of the car world!
Nice of you to post the video. It would be appreciated if you could have uploaded a video with better quality. This looks like it was recorded on a recycled rental porno VHS on EP mode.
Yeah The music must have been changed because this car was made in 1985 and the song was released in 2002.
It's a series of ads linked together that someone's put their own "soundtrack" to
Created by the best stunt men Remy Julienne
well, this is great!
I'm sold.
hmmm looking at this video again, i didn't know they had dance music like this in the 80s. i thought it was a 90s thing. O.o
And then you realize that this was done with 118-133hp cars that were made in the 80s...
awesome ad :)
"She Moves" by Karaja.
Thank you Shazam
how did they do that stunt at 1:00 with the cars spinning in a circle?
Corranhorn122 prolly with a welded rig
So that's where the Mark Walhbergs the Italian job scene came from, what a copy cat. Love Isuzu.
This might be the reason why isuzu stopped making this type of car and only suv to truck
cars were better back then
My bad, I meant Dodge Challenger.
Now this.....is advertising
why no 1080? what camera you use?
if you look closely you can see the stig in every seat...
Dodge had the Challenger. Did you mean GM and the Camero
Transporter: the early years...
This is not the original audio, is it?
Here it is with the original audio.

Here's the ad with the original audio.

no worries
whats the name of the song
Karaja - She Moves
I wish Ford did this for their Mustang, or GM did it for their Challenger. This is awesome.
It's "She Moves (La La La)" by Karaja :)
Like fiat strada advert? Bad car but cool ads
çok iyi la
And then the Ford Taurus came...
It's 80's...
так вот откуда содрали жигуль-восьмерку!)
So many cars where wrecked making this commercial the company went bankrupt 🤣
There was no computer-generated graphics back then?
So you're telling me that Star Wars.......was real?
The effects were. For example, the trench run from the very first Star Wars movie, it was filmed by making a scale model trench, and hanging a camera off a boom truck, driving it along the trench. All the models and night sky of space were overlaid on it
if you dont want a Gemini after watching this vid, i'm afraid there is something horribly wrong with you.
isuzu
i had one off these and i did reverse donuts slammed it into drive and gearbox died then some one burnt it a couple off days later
👍
I hope the drivers got the pay of their lives.
meanwhile in north korea....
WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?
Meanwhile in Japan
:O
done by french stunt team
ахуенно!
Impossibru!
Where's Joe Isuzu?
