I've been a hobbyist magician for, oh, 25 years or so, and watched a ton of RUclips magic over the years. This is the finest performance I have ever seen.
I've seen this routine, by Yann, a few times, it's always the same routine, but it is fantastic at how quick he can use slight of hand to make a ball and cup appear, disappear and reappear; it's a great spin on an old classic. Also, this is my favorite clip of this routine because of the audience.
Excellent performance, was very well made with the exaggerated movements that would allow him to do the sleight of hand well. Could only spot one error at 1:53 - 1:54 You can see him put the ball in the cup for a tenth of a second - This could be due to the camera being slightly on the right side of the audience instead of being dead centre.
The trick is pretty simple, but the show, the way he present it, the timing, his character... everything is absolutly perfect, thus we forget the trick, and it's became really magic :)
That is not a spoiler. Slight of hand is different from "magic" in that they do not pretend to have special powers... they simply have the special power of skill. We all know HOW he did it, but the effectiveness of HOW HE DID IT is fantastic and you and I cannot replicate that. Good presentation of it here too.
Just amazing, even though you can see when things happen, and they're such basic techniques, his skill in execution is beautiful. I can't imagine anyone matching this skill anytime soon.
Someone is hiding under the table, passing him stuff and throwing the balls... still one of the most impressing and creative magicians i've seen, well done.
Same, once I started watching BOTH hands, rather than the one he wants me to watch, it's easy to spot... provided that I can rewind and watch it again more carefully. It's still an impressive performance.
SPOILER Pt. 1 0:07 switches the cups 0:16 puts his finger on the ball so it wont fall out of the cup 0:22 drops the ball in the cup 0:27 takes out another ball under the table then puts his finger on the ball in the cup. then throws away the new ball (the original still in the cup) 0:32 dumps the original ball out 1:03-04 puts another ball in the cup while showing the other one.
Wait, so you mean this is all just a trick? He's not really supernatural in any way? You have rocked the foundations of my world, and I thank you for the profound clarity, kind sir.
I have watched this enough times that I can see all the little slight of hand he does, but it this is still entertaining if only for the story it tells.
Spotted the first slip up. pause at 1:06. you can see that the third ball that appears, doesn't actually appear from inside the cup (when he lifts the cup) but from behind the cup. he drops it there at the same time as grabbing the cup to lift it.
Yeah, I saw that too! But that was pretty much... the ONLY mistake I saw. Everything else was phenomenal and I'm just sitting here with my jaw on the floor.
He is wearing mascara and deliberately has his hair messy as if he just woke up, it's part of the act, he is playing the part of a person having a bad day with nothing going his way.
it's not CGI. you can see one arm is down/behind the table when something is procured. and when something disappeared it's because it is getting dropped behind the table/onto his lap. he's very quick and very well-coordinated. tossing things down and throwing things up.
[Spoilers!] Watch his hands closely. On occasion, they slip underneath the table, grabbing a new tomato (I think) or the jar at certain points. Also note when he rests his head on one of his hands. His other hand is behind his elbow, again grabbing another tomato. The trick to slight of hand is to always look at, well, the person's hands. And godly reflexes. Godly.
4:02 while throwing the ball, he throws himselft another ball with his left hand to his right or he throws a ball from under the table with ball hand and holds the original ball in his right. 4:06 dunno.. 4:26 switches the cups (there's a cup filled with water) and drops the ball
His presentation is someone who is severely lacking sleep to the point of insomnia. We can assume he hasn't been sleeping because these tricky cups and balls have been keeping him up. It's like an old timey cartoon in real life!
2:01 throws the cup in his right from under the table then drops it while "strikin'" on it. 2:07 after throwing up in his right hand, drops it in his lap 2:43 the cup from his left to his right hand (with a ball in it) 2:44 bites on the ball, drops the cup 2:49 throws from his left (under the table) into his right hand 2 ball, quickly puts the 1st it in his and "pulls" out the 2nd, then spits the first out
At 1:47, my computer slowed down so that the video actually played in slow motion. I STILL couldn't see the ball disappear. This guy is better than most pro magicians in my opinion.
This guy's amazing! His routine looks like a Pixar short film! And the choice to grow a beard adds so much in terms of character development.

I've watched this so many times and I still can't pick up half of what he's doing.
Just amazing.
Amazing performance artist. Each of those three words were an understatement.
I saw this live yesterday at Magic Live in Las Vegas by Yann, and it is the most astonishing pieces of magic and juggling I have ever seen.
Very fast very accurate. He's beating our visual FPS with some of those moves. Amazing illusions and some very unique moves there.
Bravo.
Magic like I've not seen before. Brilliant! Virtuoso performance!!! Bravo! Kudos!
Greatest performance ever! So well done!
Unbelievable sleight of hand
Such people are gifted by birth.
yes very correct what trick with his two hands, very very well exibited his talent
+Hemanth Kallakuri Birth has nothing to do with that. It is work!
Not to mention dexterity and hand-eye-coordination
The trick is pretty simple, but the show, the way he present it, the timing, his character... everything is absolutly perfect, thus we forget the trick, and it's became really magic :)
One of the best videos I've seen for a long time. Very well done.

Сделал настроение на весь вечер!

This is truly a whole other level of physical comedy.
Can't wait to see this movie! The trailer looks awesome!
yes indeed my good man, it is all just a trick... and im flattered to have been the one to enlighten you...
cant stop watching this... incredible
He reminds me of Doug Rattmann from Portal!
Increíble trabajo y magnífico.
Brillante!
made my day. AMAZING performance
Wow, I enjoyed that alot. What a great talent!
The magic of simplicity and execution. Introducing French magician Yann Frisch, winner of this year's Beijing International Magic Convention.
Even with the unfairness of rewinding the video to look for a flaw it is still amazing.
Wow, very nice nice. Best SOH I've seen in a long while ...
Someone is hiding under the table, passing him stuff and throwing the balls... still one of the most impressing and creative magicians i've seen, well done.
This is the best video editing ever. 19 people agree.
Absolutely beautiful act.
Great routine. Very entertaining combination of slight of hand, juggling, and comedy/clowning.
unbelievable sleight of hand. All of the movements play into the misdirection he frequently used in the act. well done
Same, once I started watching BOTH hands, rather than the one he wants me to watch, it's easy to spot... provided that I can rewind and watch it again more carefully. It's still an impressive performance.
Dan thanks for this brilliant show :)
Absolutely loving it!
The fact that this guy doesn't need a fancy suit to do this routine is amazing (It also matches with the style of the performance).
No description available. Most accurate thing i've ever read.
Very Charlie Chaplin-esque
Talent! lots of practice, respect!
I love this guy sooo much
the description of this video is spot on
SPOILER Pt. 1

0:27 takes out another ball under the table then puts his finger on the ball in the cup.

the title means: Bejing International Magic Conference - Yann Frisch (French) ... and the show is called "Ball"
面白い手品だね!見てて楽しくなってきちゃった!
One word: Incredible
I saw one or two barely, that was awesome!
pretty sure the slapstick humor is intended to entertain the audience. the audience also wow and clap at his amazing sleight of hand tricks as well.
Incredibly entertaining, a great laugh - WELL DONE.
I don't care how he did it - its fantastic :D
I have watched this enough times that I can see all the little slight of hand he does, but it this is still entertaining if only for the story it tells.
I love how distinct Asian amazement is.
Impressive... Very impressive the Force is strong with this one.
No hay dudas de que él es el campeon ! Y además ésa rutina tiene pases distintos a la original !! Habría que compararlas y ver cuál es mejor
Mastery....

Great act!
That is crazy.
He acted as if he was in an old silent film. very good skills
1:52 You can see the ball in his hand while turning the cup! Still, really amazing
I think I speak for everybody when I say: "wat"
yeah we all know that he's just dropping stuff in his lap and picking it back up, but it's how fast and masterfully he does it that's amazing
A man who has many OPINIONS brought me here.
This is so AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I would love to see a slow motion camera film this just to put into perspective how extremely fast he is. I also think it would look pretty cool.
co nie zmienia faktu, ze jest dobry w tym co robi.
amazing work
This is truly Amazing.
ESSE CARA É MITO!
Yeah, I saw that too! But that was pretty much... the ONLY mistake I saw. Everything else was phenomenal and I'm just sitting here with my jaw on the floor.
RESPECT FROM POLAND !!
Bravo! He should get some sleep though...
He is wearing mascara and deliberately has his hair messy as if he just woke up, it's part of the act, he is playing the part of a person having a bad day with nothing going his way.
Lemenks it was a joke.
koalificated youre a joke
Realistikk513 youre a towel!
Lo conoscevo già da un po' :P
His life is to entertain others. He is what we call an entertainer. What do you do?
Simply amazing! Veeeery nice!
i can follow his hands. but even though you can see where he's getting those stuff, it still appears magical.
A few slip ups, and I can see how he did most of the sleights, but then some I can only infer because he's so damn fast. Good job.
Eccezionale ! Fantastico ! WOW !

Your actually crazy if you cannot appreciate the skill he just presented
[Spoilers!]

wow! upgraded version than what i have previously watched ^^ genius!
This man is a genius!
The replay button will be my bride.
Fantastic!
4:02 while throwing the ball, he throws himselft another ball with his left hand to his right
or he throws a ball from under the table with ball hand and holds the original ball in his right.
4:06 dunno..
4:26 switches the cups (there's a cup filled with water) and drops the ball
Other than Jason Latimer's take on cups and balls, this is my favourite routine!!
This is freakin' ART.
GREAT WORK MAN ...CONGRATTS!
Love it!
merci!
His presentation is someone who is severely lacking sleep to the point of insomnia. We can assume he hasn't been sleeping because these tricky cups and balls have been keeping him up. It's like an old timey cartoon in real life!
You can notice some tiny mistakes, but it's still outstanding!
playing insane person came to him quite naturaly after practicing this act for 1000000th time
2:01 throws the cup in his right from under the table then drops it while "strikin'" on it.
2:07 after throwing up in his right hand, drops it in his lap
2:43 the cup from his left to his right hand (with a ball in it)
2:44 bites on the ball, drops the cup
2:49 throws from his left (under the table) into his right hand 2 ball, quickly puts the 1st it in his and "pulls" out the 2nd, then spits the first out
such cool and simple tricks
Awesome, but ouch! when he hits his head on the table... Very funny and entertaining!
He dont hit his head on the tabel he hit the tabel with his foot or knee
Cool video. Andrew Price sent me here. :)
I think this video sums Dan up pretty well actually...
At 1:47, my computer slowed down so that the video actually played in slow motion. I STILL couldn't see the ball disappear.
This guy is better than most pro magicians in my opinion.
EXTRAORDINARY and AMAZING! ;) :)
FENOMENAL!!!
This guy is very good!
