You should check out "Caught", danced by Jaime Martinez, David Parsons choreography, music by Robert Fripp. From about TWENTY years ago. It's a solo piece that uses xenon strobes, triggered by a control in the dancer's hand. Totally breathtaking to see live. Sadly, the only video I know of, ruclips.net/video/HLRbY8CYaUQ/видео.html was made with a fast shutter speed, unsynchronized with the strobe, so you can't see much of the performance 😥 too bad; it's the most awe inspiring piece of dance I've ever seen
This video proves it: You can be sober and still be *TRIPPING MAD BALLS* ...the synchronization of the lights on these dancers are *incredible*, I can't imagine how difficult that is to pull off and make it look so fluid. Bravo! I'd pay good money to see you guys perform locally
@@94XJ man I went on a 40min rabbit hole, they broke this act down and pieced it to the video. that being said the "Waters of Azerath" heavy synth part is definitely in my top 5 favourite clips of all time
Saw this shit in middle school back in like 2012 and was amazed, now I’m working in the school district eating my lunch and watching it again. Man still awesome
During the first 10 seconds I was like: "you better not waste the potential of animation principles here"... and I wasn't disappointed at all, if fact, I was absolutely stunned, couldn't have been done better in any way *clapping intensifies*
I have never seen anything like this before and when I started to watch, I was so mesmerized and in awe of there show and people in the comments talking about the mother and her kid making noise, I didn't even notice it when I was watching. Sometimes when you watch such amazing shows like this, you have to watch the actual show while it is going on and ignore or just put the situation out of your mind and fix youself and your mind on the most amazing, fantastic, and the most beautiful and hipnotic show that is right in front of you, and you will absolutelly enjoy it. This is just my opinion and what I myself have done with alot of situations like this!
The person that gave this thumbs-down is a stick-in-the-mud. This is AMAZING! The synchronization and choreography of this is over the top and the best dance on stage I have ever seen. GREAT job!
You see those bright lights that flash in the background, those are used to make it appear a lot darker for the audience. These performers can see fine, their eyes are adjusted to the light and they shield them when the lights flash.
So much talent, organization, and timing put into this dance. Truly unbelievable, especially for someone who knows how long you trained to perform that 5 minute clip. Props to the choreographer(s) as well. Keep up the excellent work
I used to dance back when I was in middle school and high school, and I remember watching this video and it made me feel so happy, I'm a college student now and going through some tough times and this video just makes me feel so good, reminds me of good times! I feel like I come back to this video every few years! Absolutely love it!
11 years later and this is still one of the best dance routines ive ever seen. Imagine this was a talent contest, with multiple other teams and this was jabbas opening act. If i were other teams, id just wanna go home with my dignity still intact 😂😂😂😂
Wowowowow what incredible use of dark and light to create the illusion of digital manipulation!!! Just so amazing! The dancing was so cool, it had to be, because the effects wouldn't have held up as interesting if it weren't. Until everyone showed up on stage I couldn't tell how many there were because they kept jumping around and it was just so cool! Even though the trick is obvious, it doesn't stop your mind from interpreting it as the illusion!
In 1990 I brought this technology that you are witnessing in this video to Hollywood for the first time and became an instantaneous intellectual property specialist... Seeing this makes me so proud of where the technology has gone. When I brought electroluminescence to Hollywood the displays had to be stamped out and then a huge discovery revolutionized the creation of this technology allowing it to be sprayed out onto a substrate with lasers.

Yes!...............I caught some "shadows" behind people. Especially towards the end, where 5 of them were laying on the ground around the Fire-headed one. They were quite inconspicuous, even sneaky, but you did have to pay attention to see them. They were very, very good. The whole "Tron Dance" was exceptionally well done!!!!! Very Amazing!!!!! Thoroughly Exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
Me and my friends wanted to do this so bad. We taped glow sticks to ourselves and tried to choreograph a dance and it did not turn out as well as this but it was still such a fun memory for me ❤️
Mad props to their EL wire costumer. As someone who costumes using EL wire, I can assure you it is NOT easy at all. The end results are fabulous, though. I also work in fiber optics which can also come up with some pretty fab results. Edited to add that those suits they're wearing? Yeah, those are terribly hot and terribly heavy and are loaded with electronics and battery packs. Kudos to the performers who put up with the heat of the electronics and battery packs.

Wish we had a thumbs down now tho.
How do they even see each other? This must be very difficult to do, but what a genius idea!
they see each other when they are practicing ;)
You see those bright lights that flash in the background, those are used to make it appear a lot darker for the audience. These performers can see fine, their eyes are adjusted to the light and they shield them when the lights flash.
TheXUnknownXGamer Maybe, but they don't use those lights in all their videos. But I guess it helps them make the illusion.
I heard that they have a little red led in their back, not sure about this.
they must have night vision goggles
