    Hi Brett, excellent tutorial. So I've owned a Mavic 2 Pro now for a little more than a year. Bought the All-Day Freewell 4K Filter set with ND4, ND8, ND16, Circular Polarizer, ND8/PL, ND16/PL, ND32/PL & ND64/PL. I haven't used any of the Polarizer filters but plan on my next video/photo shoot. The scenery will be an entire day from before sunset to noon in a bright yellow canola field containing a slew of white wind turbines. Wanted advice on what to use during the Golden Hour. My hunch following your tips is to go with an ND16/PL filter to cut down on the glare from possible haze in the mountains that are a few miles away. I used to shoot in D-Log but your tips say shoot in H264. Is this correct?

    Thanks for sharing Brett, some stunning visuals there. I film golf properties typically and this has been helpful. On a sidebar, how has your experience been filming over water with the MP2, do you turn off VPS while flying low over water?

    I'm confused about Shutter Speed. I have always read that the "rule of thumb" is shutter speed should always be twice the frame rate. For example if you're shooting at 24 fps the shutter speed should be 1/50th of a second or if you're shooting at 30 fps the shutter speed should be 1/60th of a second. Period. Regardless of lighting conditions, you can adjust iso, f-stop, etc or use ND filters to correct exposure. Am I wrong about that?

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  3 года назад

      Yes, for video that is correct, but for photography you have a lot more freedom, especially with long exposures.

    So you shooting in normal color not delog 265 ?

  • @ping3488
    @ping3488 4 года назад

    But you have to bring it down each time and change your setting and what happens when clouds appear..so much easier in post ... is my preference.

    Hello, can it be used with the Mavic Pro Platinum? Is it the same size?

    @Brett Garamella if you could only pick/use only two or three lenses for ya drone. what would you suggest ?
    thanks in advance

    • @brettgaramella
      @brettgaramella  2 года назад

      Do you mean filters? Most consumer drones you can't change the lens.

      @@mattduncan5500 I usually fly around sunrise and sunset, so ND4, ND8, ND16 would be best at this time. If I needed filters for the entire day, I would get the VND Mist filters, love the look of them and made a video about them: ruclips.net/video/HBkkU_VQ_r4/видео.html Here is all my favorite gear: www.thedronepilotpro.com/gear

    I find my ND filters are making images look grainy ? Or is it my render settings maby ? I shoot 4k 30fps and use either a nd 8 or 16 filter with iso 100 1/60th, just cant get my footage to look at nice as yours. Any tips on render settings with nd filters ?
