    The fact that the camera is sharpest between 2.5 - 4 is news to me. Every day is a learning day. Fantastic video!

    You do an excellent job. I called Polar Pro tech support a couple of time and they had no idea. Key in this video was the white tab at top for setting polorizer. That is why I called Polar Pro but could not get an answer. Dam. I'm glad I stumbled on this video.

    One thing to keep in mind, if you are shooting in D-LOG, you really should be shooting at like +1.0 ev. Also I’m not so sure about that being the best fstop… if you look on forums and Facebook groups it’s a pretty much unanimous opinion that f/5.6 offers the most clarity with the hasselblad on the mavic 2 pro, and I have also personally found that 5.6 usually is about perfect unless you’re shooting a subject that is very close to the camera

    Very helpful! I flew the DJI Inspire 1 from it's earliest days until I crashed it a few months ago. So, I'm new to the Mavic 2 Pro and I just got my Polar Pro ND/PL filters. I live in Texas so I need the ND for sure and the PL won't hurt either for what we shoot at our agency. Can' t wait to use them!!! Thanks.

    I like the phone mount you're using. Can you say which one it is? Having my S10 phone in the controller's clamps makes it difficult to access the buttons along the outermost edges.

      Hi HKR Golf, Thanks for your suggestion on video topic. I have passed this along to our team for consideration for an upcoming subject! In the meantime, we do have this brief video that may perhaps help give you a little more information on use with an ND vs ND/PL filter: ruclips.net/video/pAlJoZXPoc4/видео.html

    By the way, is there a trick to adjusting these filters? If I try to adjust it while the drone is turned on, I get a gimbal overload error and I have to restart it. I love these filters but I wish they were easier to adjust.

    Why is mavic pro sharpness best at 2.8-4? I was under impression that you need to use higher number apareture to get everything in focus where as lower aperture has shallower depth of field.. can anyone clarify to me..thank you!!

      All lenses have an aperture range that delivers the best sharpness as opposed to depth of field. Many of my camera lenses will go up to f32, some to f64 (large format) but are generally sharpest at lower aperture numbers, usually around 3 stops down from max aperture opening. Ie. if your lens opens up to f2.8, max sharpness is going to be close to f8, 3 stops down. Here's a camera article if you're interested: www.bhphotovideo.com/explora/content/rules-thumb-finding-your-lens-sweet-spot Cheers from Sydney - Dave

    Any tip of nd filter for snow/lapland i already bought the polarpro ndpl kit 4/8/16 but i am afraid i need a 32/64 filter due the snow

    • @PolarProFilters
      @PolarProFilters  4 года назад

      Hey, Lars! It depends on your camera's specific settings but we generally recommend the ND32 and ND64 for bright environments like snow. Usually, ND16 will not be powerful enough there, especially towards the middle of the day. Here are some of our Mavic 2 filters which would be perfect in this type of environment: www.polarprofilters.com/collections/drone-filters/products/dji-mavic-2-pro-filters-1

    24p with 1/50 is totally the way to film. Makes life way easy in post. The hassle of trying to After Effects with 60FPS is not good. I don't really chase the EV indicator. I go about how it looks on the screen with ISO set to 100. Some scenes are underexposed but you are at 0 EV. Some scenes are overexposed but you are at 0 EV.

    Do you not want to shoot 2 stops over if you’re shooting in LOG?

    • @PolarProFilters
      @PolarProFilters  5 лет назад

      The conventional wisdom is to shoot overexposed when shooting in LOG. The idea is that you won't lose detail in the shadows by underexposing them, and even if the highlights seem really bright coming out of the camera it makes the footage easier to color correct in post (especially in high-contrast scenes). At most, though, you only want to go 1-2 stops above the meter. None of this has any bearing on our filters, or the shutter speed to frame rate ratio that produces cinematic motion blur. You can shoot overexposed with a filter, or without. Exposure can be controlled using aperture, shutter speed, or ISO, so if keeping the shutter speed locked the user can overexpose with one of the other settings.

      No I understand, I’m a filmmaker, but the general rule when shooting in LOG is to shoot 2 stops over
