I love the old junk silver. I just picked up some British pre decimal .500 for 43p a gram. About 7/8 ounces (Spot 48p per gram right now) It makes much more sense right now when the bullion coins are going for 77-90 p roughly per gram. Roughly 22-27 an ounce. If the billions were at 17£ an oz like last year, I'd be buying them. But right now the premiums are mad compared to spot.

The irish and American old money is too expensive where I am. If it was cheaper I'd be buying handfuls of that too. Last year the bullion was that price and the old money was more!
Still paying way under spot for ozs of old english. Bullion, I just cant justify it at these prices.. maybe the odd coin, but not the majority for me at the moment...we know the prices will skyrocket so we will be in the green by far... but for me it's about right now, in this moment, getting as much physical silver that i can, for the lowest price. Premiums come and go, but weight by g and oz will be consistent. If i need to melt in the future i will...we knwo that the silver prices have been suppressed... imagine it goes to 2.5:1 like in ancient Egypt... or even 15:1 like modern times... Look at Venezuela right now, 1oz of silver buys you 448 litres of milk... enough for a couple of people to survive on! One bloody ounce! Here we know that buys us about 10-15 litres........ imagine! It's crazy!
You guys over there are lucky !!!You have dozens of countries and hundreds or thousands of years worth of coins at your finger tips !!!! Not so lucky in North America ! Great video my friend !

Besides locating a LCS are there any online dealers that offer Irish coinage in bulk (similar to US junk silver) I will be in Dublin in October so looking for connections.

Strangely enough, my first Irish coin was a 1943 Half Crown, graded by NGC at D15. I also have a 1939, and I'd love to get more Irish.
