- 2021 Toyota GR Supra 3.0 Review. The Toyota Supra is pumping out 382hp and 368 lb-ft tq from a 3L turbo inline 6 cylinder engine. Would this be your pick over the Porsche Cayman? I think the Z is an honorable mention but not in the same boat.

I have a 2022 3.0 Premium. The only problem I have is, the fact that I always want to drive it...even if I have nowhere to go😁. I'm ok during the week because I'm at the office. But on the weekend I'll just get on the highway an aimlessly drive until I decide to turn around and head back home, lol. It's such a fun driver's car.

Gas is $5.30/gallon where I live, so my jaunts around town must be spaced apart, somewhat. But I agree, it is a fantastic sportscar.
@@davepaturno4290 Yeah, I have to factor that in too unfortunately. I would like to drive it more than I do, but the frequent joyrides to nowhere were adding up. I've cutback on them a lot☹
@@tizodd6 Before I reached the required breakin mileage, I tried to drive it every day because having to keep the engine under 4500 rpm was killing me. 😅
The Supra doesn’t get the love it deserves?? Not in the car enthusiasts world in Long Island. It’s heavily respected. Especially when it’s tuned it produces super car numbers easily
I think so many people shun it because its a "BMW" and lost its JDM spirit. For that I think its never going to get the love it should. Glad they love it out there though!

Love that car, currently in the process of swapping my 124 Spider for a 2.0. Given my Fiat is actually built by Mazda I get why Toyota has to colloborate with Subaru and BMW.
The 124 spider is so underrated I'm pleased with your car taste and agree on the partnerships to give us cool cars!
The Miata is all Mazda. The Fiat is all Fiat with its engine.

I have a 2022 Supra. I absolutely love it. It has slowly become my daily. Rides great, super quick and very nimble. Although, I don't know how you got over 20mpg. I've never seen anything over 18.

My 2024 45th Anniv. with auto is averaging 23 mpg. The manuals get about 19 mpg.
By the way, the best way to enter addresses for navigation is by voice. Touch the mic button on the steering wheel and say the entire address, including city and state.
Also, using a USB drive with your Playlist will sound SOOO much better than FM or satellite radio.

I can't be the only one who thinks the Supra is a great sports car , but it seems a bit too small or compact. Perhaps Toyota should have built the Supra from the Lexus LC 500. Oh well, it's still a great car.
I think that would have been an awesome platform as well! I agree on the small though, I felt snug at 5'9 190.
You didn't hear the beginning. It wouldn't cost $60k if Toyota built it. It would be around GTR price. Then you bozos would complain about, "Who can afford to buy it". 🤡🤡🤡
Idk, the size is fitting imo. The Supra has never historically been a bigger sized car such as the LC
@@timbaland952 I rented an LC500. It is a massive, heavy car that is a great cruiser and high-speed highway cruiser, but at 1000 lbs heavier than a Supra, the LC is not really a fun car on the tight twisties.

I cannot make up my mind completely about this car's styling, but I do believe it is a great performance machine. I hear the stereo is horrible though...both base and JBL versions. Nice video with good commentary on the car.

Trust me the stereo is shite in the Supra.
Just after I bought my 45th anniversary edition, I noticed the lack of bass until I inserted a usb with my playlist. The sound is 100% better. I also found the audio settings and increased the bass to what I am used to hearing/feeling. Now it sounds even better. You can also adjust the equalizer.
But the key is usb.
@LJsGarage ...or a Bose system, but there is a subwoofer mod floating around in the forums. They say it enhances bass, significantly.

@@LJsGarage I still get to drive the car and it’ll be fixed eventually. I only run 94 octane and just recently went through my second tank of gas. Pure heaven. Bought the Verus wind deflector, might wait to install till it goes into the body shop so it can get a great seal being indoors for awhile. Life goes on. I love my things, but you can’t hate people, life’s too short. (Me 7 days later, was not me 7 days ago lol)

@LJsGarage I'm leaning toward "not at all". One of the nice things about the Supra is its over-exaggerated look - the wild child that never wants to get old. This is how I feel when I sit in my new 2024 Mikan Blast GR Supra. All of a sudden, I'm 25 years old again.

At the end of the day it's essentially a Z4 hard top with a toyota shell. Not knocking it for that, it is what it is. If you don't have an issue with that and you want a Z4 hard top then you'll love this car
