One thing I learned when first starting out. Is to stop stressing it. Don't worry too much and stress yourself out. Just go out and practice. And take breaks when you find urself getting too upset.

I've been skating for 9 years and this is exactly how i got started. Never stop having fun skating man! Make sure you spend time ONLY pushing around and pumping a skatepark. Pushing is where style comes from 💪🏾👍🏾 keep skating dude

I really wanted to skate a bunch this summer and make a progression video for the year but I couldn’t cuz I had to get surgery and can’t skate for a couple more months. But it sucks having nowhere smooth to skate. Like this dudes backyard is amazing. He has great spots to skate right outside his door. Extremely lucky
I don't know where abouts you are but I'd say I have the same problem to an extent bro, I live in the UK and around me the ground is often rough a lot and not really skateable and it rains a lot, at least during the winter anyways. My back and front garden isn't great for skating as well. How I fix most of that this is to generally just take it to shopping centres fairly close to me (where they have some fairly smooth pedestrian areas and car parks and all that good stuff). Even like supermarket car parks are generally quite smooth over here. You just have to keep your eyes peeled when you're out and about mate for spots and when you do you'll spot something I'm sure. Hope this helps 👍
I'm not a pro by any means but thinking about it I guess a cool thing about skateboarding is that you have to adapt it to your surroundings and area, work with what you have and make it work, make it look cool, and have fun doing so 👌
@@Screaming05 I know this is two months late but its a lot easier to lean both directions if you put more of the front of ur feet on the board instead of the middle of ur feet, puts more weight in that direction. hope it helps.

Fat tip for ollies when first starting out, my biggest problem was I wasn’t putting enough weight on the front foot, so to improve I’d focus on having weight on the front two wheels, and then getting a big pop with the back foot, just focusing weight on the front wheels helped a lot, it started to look like I had been practicing for awhile
CollinJoseph sometimes it be like that, sometimes some tricks come fast and others come slow but the more u skate the better u get even if u don't think u are
@@CollinJoseph for me, I try to do at least 100 tries of Ollie per session, yeah it's very tiring, but I keep focus doing it over and over again. About 3-5 times a week. I believe you can do Ollie in less than a month.

CollinJoseph sometimes it be like that, sometimes some tricks come fast and others come slow but the more u skate the better u get even if u don't think u are
@@CollinJoseph for me, I try to do at least 100 tries of Ollie per session, yeah it's very tiring, but I keep focus doing it over and over again. About 3-5 times a week. I believe you can do Ollie in less than a month.

It took me about 3 years to finally land a kickflip and this guy is landing hella clean heelflips less than a year in.
