I so appreciate your fantastic video's.😁🤗👊 Many yrs ago, when I had more mango trees, I watched them all the time--ALWAYS a Thumbs UP !! Now that I have the mango itch addition AGAIN, I have been watching the past month Plus again. I Finally picked up an Orange Sherbet mango tree here in Tempe, AZ. Hope it performs well here. It apparently has LESS of the disease issues that the related Lemon Zest has--though we have less humidity here... Hope it performs ok in our drier climate !

Just for fun, the next time you have someone sample one of these awesome fruits, call it "Broccoli Souffle" or "Carrot Pudding."

Himsagar, Langra, Chausa/Chaunsa. In the right stages of course. In my experience the fruits which are allowed to ripen before plucking are the best. Let them get cold in the freezer and then try them - cold!

I have to take down all these name so when I get over to Florida, I need to try them all. We won't get any of those varieties here in the southwest desert.

What kind of soil is good for mangos in containers? I know they love sand and not to put compost or manure in the roots.

You can put wood chips on the button for better drainage and fill the rest with sand and some rocks 🪨. If you want to feed it just put it on top. They love aged chicken manure.

Thank you. I have come up with a mix. I use 4 parts sand, 1 part peat moss, 1 part coco coir, 1 part perlite and put pine bark on top.

Although this was a great video it wasn’t really too scientific because he ate the orange sherbet first and I’d like to see him come back another time and eat the lemon zest first but it was definitely a great video because I was sitting on the edge of my seat dying to hear what the taster was going to decide. Why was I so excited to hear what his comments would be?
Because I have 26 lemon zest trees and 26 orange sherbet trees and I have never ever tasted either one. Isn’t that totally insane!

Nicholas Stroganoff you’ll have to ask me the season of 2020 because my trees will be 3 years old then and I’ll let them bear fruit for me to eat

@@richardw4928 I only have have 2 orange sherbert and 3 lemon zest but I have 50 total or almost that many grafted mangoes, I try to have at least 2 of the best varieties like peach cobbler and I planted 5 Mallika, 3 or 4 Maha Chanook and 6 lemon merengue trees cause they are all known for good yield. I am jealous of the orange sherbert and lemon zest for sure though they are some of my favorites. Mallika is on par with them and similar but with a more lime flavor that turns into vanilla melon when overripe and has one of the best textures, it will maintain consistency in the fridge for over a month ripe.

I think lemon zest taste bad. Sweet Tart is much better.
