I have a macbook pro 2015 and i have used bootable usb and installed Monterey the installation completed when it restarted i got the “A required firmware update couldn’t be installed. Compatible internal storage is required in order to update.” So im stuck now 😢
I cloned my original Mac HD to a Samsung t7. What sudo line would i need to use? Assuming I need to enter same sudo command in terminal but locate the Monterey “boot” file instead of the installer….am i right? If so what is that file named?
@@munchy_cool thanks for quick reply, i figured it out. After cloning in disk recovery mode i just simply clicked Startup disk, and chose my external SSD. Now my IMac automatically boots from the Samsung T7 and is much faster. It’s working great
Hi I didn't get the password prompt in terminal after I selected the volume. What I see is the "my account name -MBP ~ %". Do you have a solution for this?
After opening terminal i dragged the create install media and the volume as u explained and after inputting my password it shows installmac monterey.app does not appear to be a valid Os installer applications 😢 pls what i do?? I'm using a Mac book Air 2015
🫠hey munchy do you have an idea about my issue? My phone no longer showing the notification when connected to pc whenever i need to transfer files to pc. But Its ONLY charging. Tried several methods like, switching roms, turning on usb debugging, uninstall reinstall windows usb drivers with various pc's, switched other data cables. It used to work back then. But since last night it's not working. Also I cant even able to fastboot flash either. Coz mi flash not recognising my device too. I dont know what to do...

followed this all good now the usb is write protected and can't format it again and tried everything to format it help.

this process is not going to create a bootable disk from a clone drive if thats what you are trying to achieve ...

Did you check whether your MacBook is compatible with MacOS Monterey ? You might want to try using the OpenCoreLegacy patcher and update it using it
