REVEALED Contract Clause Means THE END For Perez!

  • Sergio Perez’ British Grand Prix was an utter disaster, there is no other way of spinning it. A trip to the gravel in Q1 brought out the red flag, ending his qualifying and putting him to the back of the grid for the start of Sunday’s race. In a fast car that was expected to suit the Silverstone circuit, he was expected to make decent headway through the pack but failed to do so and was relegated to Max Verstappen’s tyre strategy test piece as the rain started coming down. It is the 6th bad result in a row for Perez and despite a two year contract that is still hot out of the printer, the pressure on his job is mounting. The performance clauses in that new contract were leaked during the British Grand Prix and now the Mexican driver is at serious risk of losing his seat mid season. Today, I’ll get you up to date on it all, so don’t go anywhere.

If I had to choose, I'd fire Perez during the summer break, put Ricciardo in his seat and Lawson in Ricciardo's. That way Lawson would have ten races to gather some experience, and if Ricciardo doesn't satisfy at Red Bull, replace him for the 2025 season. Verstappen got along well with the Aussie in the past, even in 2018 where they famously crashed in Bakou. If Daniel had performed slightly better since the beginning of the season, I believe the switch would already have taken place.

It makes little difference who RB sign up next they will fail too simply due to the toxicity of that team. They induce failure by the sheer amount of pressure they put on their second drivers, every single time they take a "second" driver on they fail, no matter who it is. If you place unecessary pressure onto someone to perform with the "If you don't get this right in this next race you're out" It will stress you out so much that you will make mistakes! RB love max so much that the guy is super chilled when he races and thus he drives at his best always.
Mercedes too, their drivers are never under this "If you don't drive like max or at least come second" you're out. And thus their drivers are super chilled and actually want to win and do well for themselves, no latent stress of loosing their seat everytime they get in the damn car. It really makes for an extremely toxic environment for each and every single second driver that comes in.

Putting in a "brand new" driver to pair with Verstappen will accommodate the team's need for Verstappen to always be first BUT you run a higher risk of ruining a driver to be honest. RB chews up and spits out it's 2nd drivers for Max whether they want to believe it or not with Checo being the longest serving teammate with Danny behind that and then Albon and Sainz are close at third. Albon took a bit of a forced sabbatical (though it seems to have benefitted him more than he lost), Sainz went to Renault, McLaren, and Ferrari and it yet again out of a contract (I just hope Briatore doesn't grab him), Danny took a short sabbatical after his Renault and McLaren stints.

If they put lawson straight in top team max will destroy him and he will fall just like all the other red bull team mates , if they give seat to ricciardo dan with drive like a number 2 driver not causing any grief for the team as a way of saying thank you too horner dan is the teams safer option

I think it’s time to replace it right on the summer holidays.... More than one driver has failed like Cheko.... In the fastest car, the pilot Cheko drives as if he has the weakest car..

I'm mostly annoyed that they keep ignoring Tsunoda considering his growth and performance.
DR is done and he is all over the place.
Lawson would make more sense to actually get a season in RB to fit in and get experienced before putting him in Red Bull seat. But hey if they need to destroy another career, go ahead.

    • @messman2000
      @messman2000 12 дней назад

Tsunoda tried to crash into Riccardo AFTER the race was over in Bahrain, it proved he is still not mature enough. You cant as a team leader put a driver in your main team, that after you ask him for a position swap, tries to damage both cars and endager both drivers. The only reason he has a seat is because of Honda. He is fast, he is 150% not the person for the second seat, neither is Lawson, RB already tried putting green drivers in that seat and it never worked. The best solution is Riccardo

It doesn’t matter who they put in that car the same thing that happened to Gasly and Albon will happen to them as well. There’s a reason that despite their massive driver academy they had to hire outside of it to fill that seat. It’s got nothing to do with ability. Both Gasly and Albon are doing pretty okay now and Perez will too if he leaves Red Bull. The Max ego machine must be fed and demands another sacrifice.

Just put Lawson in the RBR instead of Perez. Of course Max will be faster, but Lawson won't be blamed for that. He must ensure that he finishes top 5 in most races. And he must ensure that he comes into contact to help Max if necessary. He is still young, his time will come

Put Danny or Yuki in the seat and place Lawson in the VisaCashAppblabla RB

I like checko I really do, but we're are past the point of too little too late. He's hit his wall and these lapses in performance are only got to get worse and for longer. It's time to ditch checko and get Tsunoda in that he's earned it driving that tractor around for years. Opens a spot for lawson and Daniel can line up against lawson to show the grid he's still got it.

RB want/need a driver who will perform consistently within the performance wake of MV, being there to pick up the pieces on the rare occasions that MV has a bad weekend (a la Australia). But they do not want a driver who is going to be challenging (MV) for the lead of a race every weekend.
Sainz may be the best driver available (of those currently in an F1 seat at least) but would risk derailing the Verstappen train; CS would not be happy to play designated rear-gunner.
Lawson is an enticing prospect, but comes with a risk that he exceeds expectations and ends up challenging MV and might then reject/resent being constrained by any “first season proving ground” expectations of following his team mate around.
Ricciardo is probably realistic enough to accept a rear gunner role, but he simply hasn’t done a good enough job at RBR and I suspect he has fallen short of expectations that may have been established about a level of performance required to be considered should Perez under-perform.
But SP’s performance has been so bad, RB have to do something. To date that “something” has appeared to be “nothing”, though in practice it has been to expect SP to rediscover his form. The only question is, how long do they wait and how courageous are they in whatever decision they make when patience is finally exhausted?
It’s certainly going to be interesting to see how this all plays out.

Even by their normal standards the toxicity of the RB snake pit must currently be world class with Horner and the delightful duo of Helmut and Jos leaving nothing on the table. Max's mental strength is just off the scale not to be affected by this horror show. He had better make sure he is simracing every waking hour he isn't driving for real.
