      Doesn't matter to the larger public. Their brand value and recognition is too powerful in the public's mind. I keep suggesting more powerful, more efficient and longer battery life AMD laptops to my friends and family and they keep buying an Intel i5 laptop. I pleaded with many of them to no avail. To most people Xerox=photocopy and computer processor=Intel.

      Welcome to the world of service overall. Not sayin you should get used to it but it happens often. Imagine a tire repair mechanic who, after diagnosing a flat as caused by over 50 nails in, is then told by the service manager that the customer maintains that the nails are special and that the tire must be fixed without removing any of the nails. The customer is always right, right? This simple scenario reflects the daily life of a great many service tech jobs across the country.

    Surely Trump realizes TSMC has a salt-the-earth policy in case of invasion?

    • @Winnetou17
      @Winnetou17 2 месяца назад

      That would actually be best, since that means that China won't suddenly have 60% of the global chip manufacturing in their pockets. If TSMC disappears, then Samsung and Intel will boom in profitability as everybody will fight on getting chips produced. I guess whatever China has in house will also boom in production and profitability. But it will be a huge distruption too, as a lot of chips will simply not be made anymore, smartphones and many industries will suddenly have huge bottlenecks.
      Trump is crazy enough to welcome a situation like this.

    I'd like to offer a minor correction regarding your understanding of AI training. AI does not replicate content from you or any other creative individuals. Instead, it learns from the content and constructs its neural network by recognizing patterns within that content. This process is akin to how you learn by watching other videos and develop your own biological neural network in your brain.
    Take, for example, if you appreciated a video transition effect that MKBHD utilized in one of his videos and you implemented a similar effect in your own video. In doing so, you haven't infringed upon MKBHD's copyright because you didn't directly copy a clip from his work for your transition. Rather, you created a comparable effect based on your interpretation of it. I hope this explanation sheds light on what AI training entails.

  • @cryptocsguy9282
    @cryptocsguy9282 2 месяца назад +4

    AI training their stuff on stolen content is completely normal. I'm pretty sure there's been some authors tryna sue open AI for creating AI generated novels that is suspiciously close to real books. As for intel making defective chips 🍟 I can only imagine that's due to an issue with the manufacturing process or they verified the chips wrong during simulation & testing 🤷🏾‍♂️

    The comments about the costs of defending Taiwan need to have context. If Taiwan was spending more of its own money on defense of its islands, then maybe the USA wouldn't be so disgusted. But many of Taiwan's citizens are essentially untrained in resistance, nor do most of its citizens seem to believe in actually fighting. If you look at the percentage of GDP spending on military and military training of its citizens, it is a pretty small amount. Taiwan is apparently depending on the USA paying for defending the country, thus Taiwan gets to keep its military spending down and also avoid training its population. For example, Taiwan does not have a military draft for its citizens or its male citizens.

    "I'm not exactly sure what Trump is thinking."
    He's thinking if you say "Please pay us for helping defend you" the answer you get is not what you wanted. On the other hand if you know about the Art of the Deal you have to seem "ready to walk" to get the best deal out of it.
    In this case USA paid almost all the funding and gave all the tech to set up TSMC, is now dependent on TSMC who makes all the profit, and pays huge bills to defend Taiwan. Almost any political restructuring and renegotiation of the status quo ends up being a win for the American economy. It doesn't take a genius to see that. What does take a genius is scanning the globe for "bad deals" your country is in and literally knowing how to stir up a renegotiation, as Trump successfully did with NAFTA and many other deals.

    I get why it’s frustrating that AI uses your content for learning and might replace jobs. However, I don't think it's bad, similar to how the Industrial Revolution ruined many jobs was ultimately beneficial. Yes, AI can unintentionally plagiarize, just like art students might after studying many paintings. But it won’t be illegal as long as people can legally use RUclips to learn to draw, start channels, or master Photoshop. AI is essentially doing the same thing, so banning it would mean restricting free access to knowledge and making places like universities the only option. Which will never happen

But before i got this 13600K, i´ve got 14500, which WAS defective (it was deteriorating within days of usage) and i had to RMA it.
    Btw. the issue with Trump is, that guy is NOT thinking at all - he´s just throwing out whatever will come on his mind (and you can´t really argument with anyone, who thinks they´re always right). After all, he´s got an election to win! So he must promise whatever he thinks people will want (just like the wall with Mexico).

    Can we talk about how Intel meet your lake? Still stinks? It was supposed to be this huge improvement over the previous generation, and it involved a tremendous amount of complexity. Yet, it is barely better.

  • @EpicGamingEct
    @EpicGamingEct 2 месяца назад

    its really not that complicated at all , the motherboard venders did not follow intel,s power specs and voltages .... in almost all bio,s Gigabyte, Asus , MSI , Asrock they use their own power specs automatically setup and in use , which is dumb .. intels power spec is 125 too 256 absolutely tops thats what it should be set at in bios for PL1 125 and PL2 256 .. but the venders set it too unlimited for overclocking which is asinine as if you dont have a high end cooler for overclocking will overheat and crash the system for the cpu too save itself from cooking !! the solution is when building a 13th gen i9 or 14th gen i9 system is too go into bios immediately and set Intel power limits and also manually set ram too default manufacturer settings for ram !! and no crashes or issues will happen .. in some cases in bio,s like gigabytes even the intel power specs are higher then they should and not 125-256 and has too be set manually .. so motherboard venders are the issue and the fix is then correcting this with a bios update in which alot of basic users do not know how too do .. so again the problem isnt Intel , its bios issues with the new Ai motherboards trying too overclock automatically and set PL1 and PL2 waaay too high ... as for servers its the same situation and same motherboard venders ... buy a 13/14th gen intel chip just update bios and make sure you set intel power limits in bios ... also oxidization doesnt happen unless water H2O contacts copper and other metals which would void warranty and be USERs FAULT ... so their is a fix and the issue is known .. but it seems theirs no worthy tech news soo your making a bigger deal about this then it needs too be and DRAMA !!! need that content Eh ..

    Intel for sure nows what the problem is it’s letting the single core boost algorithms run the chip up on one perf core 2 threads to near 6 ghz pushing voltage to those threads individually making them degrade quicker than the rest of the cpu. This is an issue for people who don’t understand how CPUs work and let the stock settings just run the whole system. Intel did this to better compete against AMD in cinebench scores for day 1 reviews all for sales becouse the only thing the tech media does is run a few benchmarks and tell people what to buy. It’s stupid leading stupid so Intel changing the voltage limits and locking all the cores at this point would make the original claims of clock speed , effeciency , etc all invalid and lead to a large class action .
    If you own a Intel chip you should be locking your cores and undervolting it anyway you might not get that extra 5% in performance letting it scream but it’s just been common practice to keep your silicon at safe operating limits if you have been into overclocking cpus the last decade you would understand this pretty quickly once you saw how these things run out the box haha. It’s no surprise they are going to degrade faster than previous gen CPUs when allowed to run at stock settings to me it’s actually amazing 13th gen has been out 2 years now and it’s not a bigger issue , again the ryzen 7000 I beleive will also show this same issue with chip degradation it’s just there are less of them in the wild and they aren’t clocked as high but for sure they run hot at stock settings they will have the exact same issue in the long run.
    As far as tech media publishing large numbers of failures the level 1 tech published the Alderon development team as having a 50% failure rate and this is a very small Indy game maker who has less than 50 employees and I’m sure that means they prob have 20 Intel systems they probably self built and setup and wonder why they are not perfect. Hardly a real data point overall when there are millions of these systems in operation. And then tomhardware published a article saying a VFX company named Modelfarm in Australia was having issues with there Intel processors and was switching to 9950x (haha even though they aren’t released yet)
    This is a company that has less than 8 employees… come on so are they all on 13th and 14th gen PCs? And they are really experiencing a 50% failure rate? I’m pretty sure what we are seeing is the same ole same ole new Architecture is about to release next month by the competition and this is a scummy way of corporate anti marketing wouldn’t be the first time stuff like this has happened.
    And why would they not be on actual professional workstations using consumer desktop/workststion products and then publicly claiming larger failure rates than anyone in the industry publicly… while being such small companies that getting all new free hardware from Intels competitor for making these claims possibly??? Idk seems way to fishy since it’s literally on the eve of AMD next gen being released.
    If Intel was having 50% failures on these chips within 2 years it would be not hide able.
    I would be thinking at stock settings both cpu manufacturers at this point are tuning there CPUs to have less than a expected 5 year lifespan it’s just the way the war over benchmarks has evolved the space for sales. Both companies should be looking to tune back there CPUs for longevity and overall efficiency and compete on stability and features . But I doubt that is going to happen with the race to the

    The problem is: the CPU are NOT getting ENOUGH voltages!
    Motherboard Manufacturers Power AC and DC load-line settings in the Bios are changing the voltages that the CPU gets,
    thus not providing enough voltages at certain frequencies under high loads.
    I can run the 12 gen CPU on Load line calibration LLC 1 fine, but the 14 gen needs LLC 8 to achieve higher frequencies because there is too much V droop at lower Load-line settings, and the CPU does not get enough voltages under higher loads..
    14 gen needs more power and voltages under high loads..
    So Motherboard manufacturers just needs to fix their Bios settings ...
    And it is cool that intel lets us change the load-line settings so that we can under-volt the CPU, but if the under-volt is too aggressive crashes, errors, or instability happens.
    i tested this, and even the "out of video Memory" error was not present when i just was sending a bit more voltage to the CPU, but it was present if i was sending to little voltage.
    Apps and games were not starting or crashing with too little voltages, but not crashing anymore with a bit more..
    It's actually not Intel's fault! it's Motherboard Manufacturers!
    because they made Bios with different very low AC Power load-line settings to under-volt the CPU by default.
    Intel specification recommends that AC and DC power load line setting have to be the same value,
    But motherboard manufacturers always put very low AC load-line settings by default, compare to DC load-line..
    thus sending much lower voltage to the CPU than required..
    You can check your motherboard AC and DC Load-line values in HWiNFO, in the "Main window" click on central processor, expand it, click on your processor and scroll down to the "IA Domain Loadline (AC/DC):"
    i bet they are different values even tho: "intel recommendations "intel default settings" clearly sate: "DC load Line must be equal to AC load Line".
