This change to Amber is the only part of the show that I completely disliked: as soon as they say that she knew Mark was a superhero, all of her prior actions are either irrational or downright emotionally abusive. Until that reveal, her reactions were reasonable and sympathetic: her boyfriend was flakey and never had a good excuse for his unreliability. After the reveal that she knew all along, suddenly her shouting at him for being a "coward" when she knows that he was putting his life on the line to save people *right in front of her*, or her whingeing for him missing dinner when he's out saving lives or being beaten almost literally to death--all of that has new context. The context is her saying "I'm more important than your petty job of risking your life to save people". It's nonsensical for her character to behave this way after everything we've seen from her, and it's yet another example of writers tripping and falling on their face in an attempt to "subvert expectations" rather than let a narrative progress more naturally. I think the only way to salvage her at this point would be to have her reveal next season that she was lying about knowing that he was a superhero all along; the sudden reveal made her feel insulted and conflicted when she was already *extremely* (and justifiably) angry, and she wanted to throw his stupid reveal back in his face.
OR reveal that she did know, but she found out between he fight at the college and him telling her Preferably just before. So she didn't know when she did all of that. She was still dealing with her previous feelings during this episode and wasn't quite rational. This would fix all this, I think.
“You didn’t show up to volunteer at the soup kitchen. That was a big deal for me, Mark.” “Amber, I’m sorry. I would’ve made it on time if... I DIDN’T ALMOST F***IN’ DIE!”
She never said that even if she didn't know by that point he was invincible she was told he was hit by a bus and he even had the injuries to "prove it"
Amber: “I’m not an idiot. I’ve known that you’re a superhero for weeks now” *literally 24 hours earlier at the college campus when Invincible showed up* Amber: “who the hell is that? Where did Mark go?!?”
I think Omniman is way scarier than Homelander. Homelander is kinda pathetic and actually wants to be loved by the people and wants the attention and stuff, but Omniman is a determent, unpredictable villain, whose presence is way scarier in my opinion. You think he could just snap any second. Homelander, as far as I remember The Boys, never really does something too shocking all of a sudden. I always remember the scene where Homelander thinks about killing a crowd, but it turned out it was just in his head. Where with Omniman you can see him just do it, because he doesn't care about what others think, he seems above everyone else.

This episode has both some of the most jaw dropping and also most shockingly gruesome action I have ever seen in superhero animation and animation period. Also I now put Cecil Stedman up there with Nick Fury and Amanda Waller as one of the best spymasters in comic book history. And yes Immortal was in fact Abraham Lincoln.
I've seen better gore than Invincible. The gore in MK for example is way more creative and disgusting than Invincible, but Invincible has a way better storyline.
