The calm comforting aesthetic vibe is a nice addition to a bit of education and connection with a really nice and genuine person. She is honestly a really comforting person, which is always a great quality for a doctor, especially in areas she seems passionate about. That passion where peoples eye light up about the subject they’re into is so nice to see in people too. That makes watching worth it because it reminds me that people can always feel that passion. It’s out there, no matter what you’re struggling through.
the way u talk about embryo and GI with enthusiasm makes me so happy cuz when I talk like that with other people (even ppl in med school with me) feel disgusted/icky. like, maaaan this is so cool how can u not be fascinated by it???

Okay im 20, preparing for medical entrance in our country for like 4th time, well mainly because i grew careless and overwhelmed with huge syllabus and kind of gave up... Your videos LITERALLY had an impact on me so much so that i can say im busting my ass this time (and surprisingly enjoying it) and i know i will get into the medical college this time! Im no more afraid of working hard, You set my fears free and im actually looking forward to eating all my pancakes as a med student! Had many idols in music as it is very close to me, Never had an idol for something that i chose as career until you came along...and although i know its awfully early to say it but hopefully I can appear in usmle after my grad and honestly, I LITERALLY DREAM ABOUT WORKING UNDER YOU! They re-invigorate me on my medical journey and make me think in more complex ways on topics I genuinely find interesting/not so interesting. It’s nice to be reminded of how awesome the human body and human journey is much love ❤️ Also love my Patagonia jackets for my hospital!! Quick tip: make sure to dry them on low or little to no heat to keep them soft!
I am SO happy you love embryology! I’m in school to become an embryologist and my passion for embryology grows every day. I’ve thought about med school for a while because I’d love to be an OB GYN but I’m leaning more towards PA school and a masters in embryology. I can definitely relate to when you said you felt like a student again when you went back to your campus briefly. I’ve been back home since March, and it doesn’t feel like I’m a student. When you said "Your esophagus could connect to your trachea" I about died bc I was not expecting that. I had TEF when I was a baby! only complication I have now is that I have to drink a lot when I'm eating otherwise food gets stuck way too easily

When you said "Your esophagus could connect to your trachea" I about died bc I was not expecting that. I had TEF when I was a baby! only complication I have now is that I have to drink a lot when I'm eating otherwise food gets stuck way too easily

Hey there!! I’ve been a fan for a few years now! I was just wondering how your undergrad years were set up, when did you end up taking the MCAT since you were a Kinesiology major? I have always wanted to go the nursing route and just recently decided to switch my major (right before admission to the nursing program lol) to biology-pre med I’m struggling with when to take the MCAT now because I have 2 years left but in those two years I’m cramming in all the MCAT essential classes. Help :(

God I can’t even explain to you how much seeing your medical journey has helped me to do pre-med.
