This song was the B side on the 45 record of “Hello It’s Me”. I would play it on the jukebox at a sandwich shop in Provincetown, Mass called “Angie’s” Summer of 1973, when I was 20 years old. It’s where I had my first avocado sandwich. Through that summer, I would visit the shop regularly. and this song connected me to time and place in a spiritual way, like all of Todd’s early work. I’m 70 now, and feeling blessed to have had, and still have, his heartfelt music on the journey 🌄
Me too. 70 and all the rest except it was a few years earlier that a friend introduced me to this absolute gem.

Maybe the best album never. At age 59 listening with headphones. The memories flooding back from 1976. The girls. The love that was too intense to describe. But Todd found a way. God. What a talent.

When I was in college I had this huge record collection, and whenever company would come over I would ask them what they wanted to hear. Often they would say, "Oh, anything" and of course I would reply, "OK, Something, Anything coming right up!" I loved this album, and this was my favorite song.
After over 50 years, just one of those album cuts I listen to a lot. They were definitely innocent times.

2021 and still Todd has never been acknowledged for the massive body of magnificent work he has created.
This album always brings me so much joy. Reminds me of being a kid in the 1970s.
Phenomenal song that so accurately describes the futile dreams that accompany unrequited love. One correction though: Todd actually sings about "a life of restlessness and HOPELESS dreams" -- not "BROKEN dreams."
The most amazing solo produced double album.........Ever. Todd, you're amazing and this is your testimony to great song craft, production and playing, amazing stuff!

Brilliant album. One of the many highlights from it. I have most of his and Utopias albums from the 70's. A musical genius and workaholic who arguably spread himself too thinly. But his best was about as good as it gets.
Sorry Todd, I played this album so many times I overplayed it and moved on to other artists and other types of music. I have it buried along with all my old vinyl. However tonight for some odd reason this song came to me in my head, as great songs sometimes do, so I went to my garage/music room and played it on you tube. Instantly I was back in my apartment in Rockville, Md. by myself getting ready to go out for the night, down to the Crazy Horse in Georgetown. This album would set the mood back then. When was it? 40 yrs ago? Not sure how long ago it was but you ARE a Wizard and a True Star. I'm gonna pull out all your old records and immerse myself in them once again. Thank you Todd for everything.
