I think because they where overshadowed by Great bands ,Led Z. Stones, Black S, Pink F, etc etc. Good band wrong time to compete in the 70s. But I agree they could throw it down. This song is an all time classic..😅

Damn, this is music. Real music. Took it for granted when i was teenager. There was so much very good music those days. Now i know, i grew up in a time full of freedom, love and creativity. A time like that will never be again. My grandchild will not know the freedom my genaration is losing. Humanity, creativity, free will and freedom are over.
Freedom is changing and goes in a different direction now- these younger generations both have and have lost freedoms that we dealt with much differently. Frankly, I am most concerned with the emergence of AI.

Hot outside today, driving in my car with this cd and just had to turn the volume really loud....just to share this fine tune with the rest of the world
Don't you just love to play a song like this at top volume as you're driving along? Watch the faces of today's kids who don't really know good music and arranging! And don't get me started on rhythm bars and auto tune! Real talent lives on! Thanks 😀
J ai la chance d avoir les 33 tours de ce groupe Supertramp, cadeaux de Noël parfois, les 70's étaient de bons "crus" comme le bon vin 🍷 ! I love it so much 👏
I was working in a youth hostel in Amsterdam when this hit the airwaves. Early morning we cranked this tune and filled the Hostel with a wakeup call that left us dancing.
Thankyou! I have asked that question sooo many times. How many instruments did it that to make this song? Nobody ever had the answer, Thankyou Larry. :)

I was 12 years old when I first heard that song. My friend’s older brother put the record on the disc player. I was in shock! I had never listened to music like this before. Supetramp became extremely popular in Canada.
I did much the same with my niece, had it on cassette tape while (ironically) picking her up from school. She was having fits at school and hated having to go there. She was about 12 at the timed and played it endlessly . Now she's 30, doing well in college, is about to have a kid of her own and has one of my Supertramp vinyl albums framed and mounted on her living room wall
We played this song over and over again in our park; back then there were these big recorders that had a hell of a volume. There was also a little spliff and we were immersed in the music. It was a great time, that's what the song reminds me of

All five times that I've seen them were awesome 1975-1981 I'm a very lucky man. They were touring all through the Midwest OH, MI, WI, MN and IL I believe I have a bloody right to say they got better each concert. I skipped school to see them and came out of my shell. Maybe that was my crime of the century

Epic song. Reminds me of the wonderful teenage years in the 70's. We were so privileged to have lived during that time.
