I do apologise but, There is something uninspired about the whole class sets - Where has the set designer from legion gone? They do not look badass at all - They look like one of those daft fashion runway events where someone is walking the catwalk with a bed matress strapped to them. I jest, but I don't know, I feel they need to scale back the whacky cartoon aesthetic a little and lean heavily into class fantasy a bit more.
I'm surprised so few people like the DH set - I actually dig the Nerubian bug parts and the spines hanging from the hips. It fits with the first patch theme, it matches some existing DH customization options (the spiderlike skin tones, faces and wings) and the colors all feel appropriate unlike some other choices (looking at you, green paladins).
These are actually one of the best hier sets so far! Everything below Tier 10 is huge garbage, no intricate details and shit coloring. Especially Druid, Rogue, Evoker and Paladin look great. I am just disappointed in the Death Knight set but they kept getting way too good ones so far so I like that they actually get something that is not „oh look, bones and dead ice dragon“
they're not questing sets they're the max level outdoor sets that you get from world quests/campaign/warmode/etc, but either way they are easier to get than the tier sets because you will get them before you even raid
Evoker, druid, rogue top 3 so far; the paladin set I think would look better if the wings were actually on the back instead of the shoulders, it doesn't even mesh well on the shoulders. Everything else,; its a good thing transmog is available.
We eating good with the Monk set. However it feels like Warrior/Paladin are consistently getting fucked over with sets lmaooo. The Rogue and Druid sets are fantastic but it sucks having Evokers have great looking armor when they only get to look at their helmet and shoulders for 90% of the time, Blizzard really dropped the ball not being able to have them stay in their human guise as a permanent option to opposed to their dragon form.
they need to do armor dyes already, because their color choices are so bad most of the time, but they never will because they tie the color pallette to raid difficulty, and with mythic they add more effects to the armor
Rogue, Evoker, and druid, for now they win. Druid only gets kind of ruined by the head, the rest is fine. Rogue and Evoker just slaps, Evoker is just "Deathwing" and Rogue is one of those void mommies, which is a really cool concept. Druid... Its Ok, its just the headset that ruins it a lot.
If they want to give the Paladin wings they have to make them look like wings, they're so small, weirdly placed. I also find it weird to use the human model for the amour, it makes them all look the same... It bothers me because there's effort here but I'm sure the concept art looked better and when placing them on the caracters they look like they can't move or they're made for a different race

Why do they all look the same? Demon hunter tier has some chicken feet on the shoulders. They put so much detail into the shoulders or helm that the rest of the set looks naked with lines going through it. They just don't make sets like they did back in legion. That ship has sailed, was a one and done

Evoker looks so sick and it's nice to see Rogues get some care again. The paladin wings look too high on the body and too thick and stubby. They're like hello kitty nubbin wings unlike the current Priest S2 ones
The DH one is actually one themed after Aranasi, the Spider Demons (which seems fitting in spider-themed season), and is currently missing a belt. Some recolors are too contrasting, though, so it doesn't give the right vibe.
I like the Demon Hunter one, but they need to rework the chest and leg pieces because these two are weak. The helmet, shoulders and gloves have potential.
There's parts of a lot of these sets that could be good to mix and match for other xmogs, but I feel like the only 2 great sets here so far are obviously Evoker and Rogue. Those two are eating fucking good rn lol
I'm gonna be honest, most of these armor sets feel like they're trying TOO hard to be cool and "warcraft-y". I think you could little tweaks to them that could really help alot.
Ekover set looks like its from a different game. The other sets just have helm and shoulders, rest lacks details.... Rogue has some detail, especially the black variation and it shows.
I think they need a new team to design these. Speaking on Paladin and Warrior. Paladin need to remove wings. They don’t look like a hero class. They should have more of an Angelic look but something like Gods of Egypt. Warriors need to have more of a Viking, gritty, manly look.
The dev team is way too obsessed with horns/claws/bones on shoulders and helmets for this tier. Keep them on the helmet OR the shoulders, not both, otherwise it just looks overcrowded and goofy.
Imho, and I love retail and really hardly ever complain about WoW... But these look terrible. Every single one falls under the category of "big glowing pieces with bright colors" ... You can just add them to the massive pile of similar sets that are relatively indistinguishable and not memorable. The big bright colors and glowing thing was kind of cool when it was reserved for some very elite items, but now when everyone is all neoned-out just by running dungeons on the way to level cap they no longer look cool. It's just more of the same. You get just as cool by going and 1 shotting old LFR bosses at level 50. You know what I want? A set that legitimately looks like it could be made in real life, an epic looking battle suit of plate without all the extraneous stuff on it. Or just a wizard's robe and hat. These sound maybe "normal" but in WoW they are anything but. I know these exist as greens (now whites), but that's not what I'm talking about either -- I'm saying it would be nice to have the level of attention to detail and craftsmanship go into a raidset... without the fire and lightning and glowing. This works more for some classes than others too, but they all are just so one-note. And thinking of the most popular and memorable appearances from WoW over the years -- things like the Judgement set, Tier 8 Warlock helm... You don't need LEDs on the tier set to make it look good, it does the exact opposite by making it look like everything else in the game. The DK one here is the only one that is _okay_ because it doesn't overdo it but they still had to kind of ruin it by putting crap on the spikes.

I think design wise they just kinda lost track. I understand wow has its own style but plates are not plates, leathers are not leathers. Look at the warrior boots. Rogue boots are more plate than warriors. It's not an easy job to create these amounts of designs I get that but.. there needs to be a balance between reality and wow style. Not saying design needs to be that realistic but going full fledged rainbow palette is not my thing I guess.
I think a lot of people have become pretty picky on tier sets, not so much the content creators themselves but their chat and comments on sites. I will say that a lot of the cleanest and quintessential ideas have been used in previous tiers for many of these class fantasies, and that does become a pretty difficult design challenge moving forward. For instance, that Monk set looks perfectly fine, good in fact! I mean, except Hunter. I do tend to agree with the meme that Hunter consistently gets poor sets with only a small handful of exceptions.

Now compare the Paladin and Warrior Tier sets to the plate leveling set. Hell, even the mail world set is amazing.

The best sets are the questing sets. Especially the cloth because priests are required to have the best transmogs every single time
