The fact they missed out on a heavy Nerubian themed Death Knight set is tragic, would have felt very Wrath like in the best way. Instead we’re a broken candelabra

That would have been sick for a lot of the classes that didn't have a obvious way of tying the void into their set, like how we got naaru for priests and shadowflame Deathwing for evokers. I think it's a shame we didn't get a sha-corrupted set for monks or some kind of nerubian thing for DKs, there's some more fantastic void flavor in the lore that didn't get utilized. @@Feladreath Well, I can see where that seems shaman like cause of ghost wolf. But there is a thing that druids are animals, nature, and life. Shamans instead are the elements, wolf just happens to be in there.
I think the hunter is misrepresented as a class for so many people, we all have different ideas what it means to be a hunter but I think Blizzard has the most different idea of all. For me, being a hunter and a Beastmaster especially is more about being friends to the animals, having them choose me as a companion to fight with is pretty special. I would not then go out and trap them all horribly, or wear their bones across my shoulders and on my head. It gives completely different messages. Why would an animal choose me as a companion, if I go around murdering them all the time? Surely I'm the least likely person to hang around with then. To me there should definitely be an aspect of that friendship represented more. I'm not hunting animals as a class, I'm a hunter of foes, with an animal.
I agree with this so much. There are so many ways a hunter class can be interpreted. It can be your regular Hemet Nesingwary type character that just hunts exotic beasts, skins them and then wears them or it can be an Alleria type archer that doesn't even have to hunt animals and is rather a more military oriented character. And of course the Aragorn type ranger that understands herbs, can track and generally is skilled equally with blade and bow. There's of course survival to represent that, but I don't think we have actually any prominent characters in wow lore like that. I always play MM and without a pet and would really appreciate to see more of those archer/ranger style sets, like the Nighthold set. Most sets are either animal parts or just brown garbage. Some druid sets would work great for a hunter with their more herbal aesthetic.
Maybe you can imagine them as the bones of a beloved deceased pet companion. When you wear their bones you honour their memory and bless your future hunts. Your pets also see this as a sign of the amount of respect you have for your previous animal companions. Hope that perspective helps with the class fantasy.
HUNTER hunts animals. ASSASSIN hunts people. Both need to be effin quiet to hunt their targets. Neither should wear MAIL. Or bones. Or glow effects. The only type of archer that should wear something other than leather/cloth is some army archer that just stands behind your own lines and shoots at enemy lines without having to worry about being seen or heard. mail sets barely even fit a shaman, let alone hunter. This one would certainly fit shaman more than a hunter, outside of that one tiny. supposedly bear, trap on the hip.
I think the issue is that in game hunters are absolutely hunters of animals. As in they kill animals and display them as trophies. Just look at any nessingwary quests. So your interpretation isn't really a thing much in game at all. Even Rexxar, who would never hurt Misha, still hunts other animals as a part of who he is. Beastmaster based on what we have in game is basically "I have animal companions and they love me, but I go kill other animals that aren't part of my crew with those animals that love me". There is no "all animals are my friends" hunter
If wow news and new stuff slows at all - would love a retrospective on lots of old sets, or even a video on both your favourite none set transmog pieces ^^

Rogue-set with the teal colour could be very nice for a Mistweaver Monk. Similar color as the Mist and looking kinda faded into the green mist type badass.
I agree with Evi about hunter set. There is more than "survivalist" aspect. need a good ranger style. However this one does look better than some of the older ones
Please fire whoever designed that Paladin set, clearly creatively/artistically inept. Looks like a 5 year old drew it. Whoever is designing Priest & Warlock, let them just design all sets from now on, they're putting some passion and effort into their work.
Not gonna lie I love when they pop a demon themed set for warlocks and demon hunters. The shivarra and aranasi sets are just 10/10 for me but the horns for dh should be overtaken by the headpiece especially that some of the horns that dh have would either weirdly clip or just made them look tike a drying rack
The issue with tier sets is that they are designed to represent every instance of a class. I find the sets that focus on a single aspect the most appealing and iconic.
They seem to have pivoted away from doing sets heavily themed around the raid (SL final tier, DF first tier) and are instead just doing class sets with mostly 0 thematic tie in to the visuals of the raid/patch whatsoever - I think this is a bit of a mistake. The problem imo with the heavily themed sets is that they were all so visually similar that the classes no longer felt distinct! The vault sets were *all* made of stone and plain coloured fabric with lightning effects - it's too much and it makes the sets feel samey. That doesn't mean you can't tie the sets into the visual themes of the patch *at all!* E.g. as someone correctly pointed out, a Nerubian themed Hunter set this tier would've made a ton of sense and been pretty unique.
How come nobody saw that the DK set is just a Horsemen set ? I think it is actually very cool to have at least one set meant to fit the theme of one hero spec, like please please please give me Sanlayn next!
Hunter: Northrend beastmaster Paladin: Diablo angel Death Knight: Champion of Khorne Druid: Wolverine joins the Water Tribe Demon Hunter: Legion spider demon Shaman: Looks more night elf than any shaman race (sucks we're not getting night elf shamans) Warrior: Titan cosplayer. Monk: Kai from Kung Fu Panda 3 cosplayer Rogue: Ethereal cosplayer Evoker: Deathwing cosplay 2.0 Warlock: Tzeench Cultist meets harem girl (looks better on a female model) Mage: Kirin Tor mage on steroids Priest: Practically made for Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves.
Exactly what I said.... the wolf mask and shoulders, the belt emblem, the claw fist gloves and boots. It screams Shaman set, and would be perfect esp for Enhance shaman. I wish it was the Shaman set instead. Even the colors are better..... it has fire frost and nature color themes. Meanwhile, the shaman set is lame and only water themed with bad color palletes. Plus they only showed kilts for shaman no leg version. How lame, i am disappointed and jelly that druids got a better themed set.
It's not making armor accessable to all classes. You can just unlock the transmog with any character. For instance, a Mage can unlock plate armor pieces for your account, but the Mage won't be able to use the plate items.
The fact they missed out on a heavy Nerubian themed Death Knight set is tragic, would have felt very Wrath like in the best way. Instead we’re a broken candelabra

Evitel carries this channel, Taliesin really has an uncanny valley between his Streams and RUclips Channel........He does realize that people see both right? Can't have that fake level of enthusiasm in the videos and just go irate ranting on stream?
I used to be a very avid watcher of you guys, but with less Evitel keeping him in check its getting off the rails
The death knight set looks like something from the cover of a Bolt Thrower album cover. Sick
Rogue-set with the teal colour could be very nice for a Mistweaver Monk. Similar color as the Mist and looking kinda faded into the green mist type badass.
The Warlock set is going to look so good on my Himbo eredar.
Rogue, Mage, Lock looks amazing. Evoker is a bit busy, but also nice.
Thank God we have transmog. Those sets are sad save Priest.
I think the knee rings on the monk are for when you're kneeling and they are pulling the weight of your kneepad
Hilarious video , got me with the gang talk on druid outfit 😂
Oh and as a warrior they need to blacken out n shade the faceplate . The wow faces never ever look good squeezed between the armor on a helmet
I loooove the Evoker set, but MAN I wish an infinite color scheme worked it's way in there
I agree with Evi about hunter set. There is more than "survivalist" aspect. need a good ranger style. However this one does look better than some of the older ones
Hunter main here, but as much as I love the set, the Druid set should be a season 2 set for Hunters. Especially with that wolf shoulder
Please fire whoever designed that Paladin set, clearly creatively/artistically inept. Looks like a 5 year old drew it. Whoever is designing Priest & Warlock, let them just design all sets from now on, they're putting some passion and effort into their work.
Are class sets BACK!? Oh, hell yes!
Not gonna lie I love when they pop a demon themed set for warlocks and demon hunters. The shivarra and aranasi sets are just 10/10 for me but the horns for dh should be overtaken by the headpiece especially that some of the horns that dh have would either weirdly clip or just made them look tike a drying rack
that priest set is so incredible, i need it so badly
The initial mage set has the warlock pantaloons on. The others have a more traditional pants look
The issue with tier sets is that they are designed to represent every instance of a class. I find the sets that focus on a single aspect the most appealing and iconic.
Those Pally wings should been bigger and a back piece. Would have made them waaaaaay more epic
That doesn't mean you can't tie the sets into the visual themes of the patch *at all!*
E.g. as someone correctly pointed out, a Nerubian themed Hunter set this tier would've made a ton of sense and been pretty unique.
I wish there was an achievement to remove the glow effects similar to how theres the one for adding more to the helm from m+
The Arathi outdoor sets kind of blows all of these out the water.
wish the wings on this and the abberus priest set worked like the wings on the legion warlock set. that animate then go away
How come nobody saw that the DK set is just a Horsemen set ? I think it is actually very cool to have at least one set meant to fit the theme of one hero spec, like please please please give me Sanlayn next!
Tali and evi have this passive aggressive interaction haha 🫡
The only thing i like about the Paladin set is the collar, because it's a cool inscribed collar that will pop out from a tabard.
Hunter: Northrend beastmaster
Paladin: Diablo angel
Death Knight: Champion of Khorne
Druid: Wolverine joins the Water Tribe
Demon Hunter: Legion spider demon
Shaman: Looks more night elf than any shaman race (sucks we're not getting night elf shamans)
Warrior: Titan cosplayer.
Monk: Kai from Kung Fu Panda 3 cosplayer
Rogue: Ethereal cosplayer
Evoker: Deathwing cosplay 2.0
Warlock: Tzeench Cultist meets harem girl (looks better on a female model)
Mage: Kirin Tor mage on steroids
Priest: Practically made for Lightforged Draenei and Void Elves.
the druid set is just basically.......a shaman
Exactly what I said.... the wolf mask and shoulders, the belt emblem, the claw fist gloves and boots. It screams Shaman set, and would be perfect esp for Enhance shaman. I wish it was the Shaman set instead. Even the colors are better..... it has fire frost and nature color themes. Meanwhile, the shaman set is lame and only water themed with bad color palletes. Plus they only showed kilts for shaman no leg version. How lame, i am disappointed and jelly that druids got a better themed set.
Ok as an enhancement shaman, the leg dress bottom would be decremental to my ability to move. It works for caster shaman, however.
Damn....now I can't un-see the "entrails" on the monk tier set abdomen. Thank you Taliesin&Evitel....😂
Who on the helmet team put the priest and rogue eyes on the top of the head?
I’m so happy War Within will make armor accessible to all classes once got. That Evoker set is a crime to hide
It's not making armor accessable to all classes. You can just unlock the transmog with any character. For instance, a Mage can unlock plate armor pieces for your account, but the Mage won't be able to use the plate items.
@@ThatOneGuy15270 really? I could only find that classes that wear ex: mail could all share mail pieces. Guess we'll find out when WW comes out
