The priest set makes me wish priest had a 4th spec that was a scarlet inquisitor/holy fire dps, just smiting everyone left right and center. We did kind of do the same shite as ret paladins now that the range of the paladin abilities is so absurd, but Paladin sets mostly end up hideous. Just like this last one. PUT WINGS AS BACK PIECE< NOT SHOULDERS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!
To me the hunter set is fine for any other tier, but it is absolutely criminal in a raid where we are LITERALLY HUNTING BUGS, that the tier set doesn't have Nerubian bits on it. I mean, wtf Blizz?
Hunters have gotten zero attention so far in TWW. Their hero talents are flat and boring, nearly absent of animations or visuals, not sure why anyone would expect different for the tier set.
@@mackenziefa A lot of the tier sets are themed around some of the hero specs, like the warrior one is clearly the mountain thane, and the evoker one is the scalecommander.
@@Rosstafa The small shadow arrow isn't enough to sell the dark ranger theme. Go look at voidweaver for shadow priest, then go back and look at the 'effort' put into dark ranger. Even the sentinel raining lunar effect, which I thought was too druidic/night elf personally, was altered so that it's now just an owl pooping random lunar bolts at people. Voidweaver, fire mage, ect were handled by the art directors/senior staff. Hunters were handled by interns.
Evitel carries this channel, Taliesin really has an uncanny valley between his Streams and RUclips Channel........He does realize that people see both right? Can't have that fake level of enthusiasm in the videos and just go irate ranting on stream? I used to be a very avid watcher of you guys, but with less Evitel keeping him in check its getting off the rails
I am with Evitel when it comes to hunter sets, It is the one thing that stops my motivation to play hunter, most sets for them are not elegant dark ranger/elf sets. Please blizzard give us more of those.
I wish they'd make some sleek hunter sets, tbh I hate the clunky boots, belts & shoulders they always come up with. The bows are sometimes good, but then really difficult to find mogs that look good with them. Or if they did a set per spec, MM could go sleek & form fitting, BM can have the bulky animal themed sets, & SV maybe a rogue-esque type.
Because when hearing Hunter I think of elegance, dark rangers … as if Sylvanas is the only Huntress in the entire game. It‘s not like Hunters are supposed to be agile and sneaky to hunt their prey and collect their bones to forge an armor out of it. Rexxar is the real embodiment of a hunter - no need for a set looking like a Barbie doll in some goth dress like a freaking vampire.
That would have been sick for a lot of the classes that didn't have a obvious way of tying the void into their set, like how we got naaru for priests and shadowflame Deathwing for evokers. I think it's a shame we didn't get a sha-corrupted set for monks or some kind of nerubian thing for DKs, there's some more fantastic void flavor in the lore that didn't get utilized. But maybe they're trying not to blow all their void ideas in one swoop. Maybe we'll get more ethereal sets too if this one ends up super popular.
The worst part of the Paladin one is that, without the wings, is not that bad, but texture and colors don't seem to match any other plate shoulder in the game, so will be hard to replace It. But doesnt matter because everyone will use the Arathi one anyways.
The wings look too thick I think. I mean they should have given it a look as if it was made out of steel sheet or something. Like a carefully crafted ceremonial armor piece.
If wow news and new stuff slows at all - would love a retrospective on lots of old sets, or even a video on both your favourite none set transmog pieces ^^
Gotta say that if the Hunter set didn't have the glowy bits, it would look like a leveling or dungeon set.. it's just kind of plain. The Warlock set is pretty great but, I wish there was a non-crop-top chest option. Obviously, this is just me, but I prefer a fully covered torso.
I actually rate the Hunter set a lot more than most people seem to. Imagine a guy who lives in a lonely cabin in the wilderness somewhere whose main hobby is hunting megafauna. The set is *exactly* that. I can see why people who want a more elven ranger-y aesthetic aren't super happy though. Also I'm quite sad we didn't get Nelf shamans in DF, cos the new Shaman set would look incredible on them - but doesn't work well with the traditional shaman races particularly well. Edit: Oh they mentioned the Nelf thing in the video! Glad it's not just me.

It's a green version of one of the DF season one sets. I literally thought it was a mistake at first, and that they had the DF set as a placeholder and forgot to remove it. It's just crap. I like your idea though. There are better sets for that.
I actually think WoW would do well with sets that are extravagant in their simplicity. The over the top neon vomit era needs to end. Give me armor that makes me look like a hero of Azeroth, like Kadgar, or Anduin, Bane, Thrall, ect. Either that or the leaders need to dress up in their glowy neon gear to match us in our ridiculousness.
I think the hunter is misrepresented as a class for so many people, we all have different ideas what it means to be a hunter but I think Blizzard has the most different idea of all. For me, being a hunter and a Beastmaster especially is more about being friends to the animals, having them choose me as a companion to fight with is pretty special. I would not then go out and trap them all horribly, or wear their bones across my shoulders and on my head. It gives completely different messages. Why would an animal choose me as a companion, if I go around murdering them all the time? Surely I'm the least likely person to hang around with then. To me there should definitely be an aspect of that friendship represented more. I'm not hunting animals as a class, I'm a hunter of foes, with an animal.
I agree with this so much. There are so many ways a hunter class can be interpreted. It can be your regular Hemet Nesingwary type character that just hunts exotic beasts, skins them and then wears them or it can be an Alleria type archer that doesn't even have to hunt animals and is rather a more military oriented character. And of course the Aragorn type ranger that understands herbs, can track and generally is skilled equally with blade and bow. There's of course survival to represent that, but I don't think we have actually any prominent characters in wow lore like that. I always play MM and without a pet and would really appreciate to see more of those archer/ranger style sets, like the Nighthold set. Most sets are either animal parts or just brown garbage. Some druid sets would work great for a hunter with their more herbal aesthetic.
Maybe you can imagine them as the bones of a beloved deceased pet companion. When you wear their bones you honour their memory and bless your future hunts. Your pets also see this as a sign of the amount of respect you have for your previous animal companions. Hope that perspective helps with the class fantasy.
HUNTER hunts animals. ASSASSIN hunts people. Both need to be effin quiet to hunt their targets. Neither should wear MAIL. Or bones. Or glow effects. The only type of archer that should wear something other than leather/cloth is some army archer that just stands behind your own lines and shoots at enemy lines without having to worry about being seen or heard. mail sets barely even fit a shaman, let alone hunter. This one would certainly fit shaman more than a hunter, outside of that one tiny. supposedly bear, trap on the hip.
I think the issue is that in game hunters are absolutely hunters of animals. As in they kill animals and display them as trophies. Just look at any nessingwary quests. So your interpretation isn't really a thing much in game at all. Even Rexxar, who would never hurt Misha, still hunts other animals as a part of who he is. Beastmaster based on what we have in game is basically "I have animal companions and they love me, but I go kill other animals that aren't part of my crew with those animals that love me". There is no "all animals are my friends" hunter

Fr, I'm using bits from the shaman set for my Kul'tiran resto shaman. I like it a lot, but I get why non-healers don't like it... still we haven't had a proper water set since TBC.
The demon hunters with the different colored kitty caps is absolutely killing me. Kitty caps are those plastic sheaths that you put over your housecat's toenails so that they don't scratch up your furniture.

i still think the lock set looks like a priest set. the eye that looks like nzoth's eye, the veil covering the face, the ceremonial brazier shoulders looking like incense burning. even the shivara hands and the mother sharaz helm, which are obviously inspired by indian religion. totally a war priest
As a resto sham main, this is exactly what I want. We have those cool water weps from legion but no water animation armor to go with it. Its about time my resto sham can actually have water on my armor.
The only thing about the warlock set is that it gives very clear graceful dancer vibes, from the veil to the crop top to the separate sleeves. Which is very cool, don’t get me wrong! It’s just not warlock to me. It’s too sleek/ elegant.
I absolutely love the Paladin set. That said, the Aberrus paladin set is the new GOAT armor set in my opinion :D I will rock the new tier set for sure though!
Videos like this always teach me that art is subjective. Like I LOVE the druid one and dislike the demon hunter but for some reason the demon hunter is above the druid.

Here is a wild concept for Bliz... why not make a tier set that actually looks like the armor type instead of everything looking like plate or plate adjacent. Lets actually see a full mail, cloth, leather etc.
I invite you to look back at classic when they did that, and then move up the expansions counting all the fan favorites we wouldn't have gotten if they kept that. Even now, 2 of the fan favorites: Evoker looks similar to a plate set despite being mail, and the Rogue is literally wrapped in cloth bandages while being leather. *It's not that your idea sounds bad, in fact it makes sense. But 2 decades of experience have shown its better when they don't narrow design choices too strictly to armor type, which nowadays is really just a game design tool rather than cosmetic.*
Exactly what I said.... the wolf mask and shoulders, the belt emblem, the claw fist gloves and boots. It screams Shaman set, and would be perfect esp for Enhance shaman. I wish it was the Shaman set instead. Even the colors are better..... it has fire frost and nature color themes. Meanwhile, the shaman set is lame and only water themed with bad color palletes. Plus they only showed kilts for shaman no leg version. How lame, i am disappointed and jelly that druids got a better themed set.
what I really really REALLY can't stand about the mage set is that they went and made the Dalaran tan/purple color... you know the GOOD one that we all want, the elite PVP set. wtf blizz that's a diabolical choice.
Hunter: So average it's almost worse than having a bad set, at least I can get angry about a bad set, this one just makes me feel like I got knock-off ICC shaman set... 5/10 Paladin: Way too kyrian, I only really like the helmet and maybe the breastplate. 5.5/10 Death Knight: Goofy. Way too bright colours, the boots are cool. 4.5/10 Druid: I love this one, except the helmet, that shit's silly. 8.5/10 Demon Hunter: I like the clawed gloves and boots, everything else is just kind of eh. 5/10 Shaman: Not bad, the colours don't pop well though, they're all a bit samey and I'm not a huge fan of the helmet, it's very similar to a lot of helms shamans get stuck with. 6/10 Warrior: I love this one personally, especially the gold one. Purple set looks like it came from Raszageth, weirdly. 8/10 Monk: Fucking hideous. The gloves are okay. 2/10 Rogue: Silly as hell but you gotta love the devotion to the bit. Who doesn't wanna be an ethereal? 7.5/10 Evoker: Of course, let's give this absolutely killer set to a class that's only going to see two pieces of for 90% of the time... 8.5/10 Warlock: Shivarra suit to live out all your slut wizard dreams, perfect, the arms are just the icing on top. The default-ass WoW skirt model brings it down a bit, the pants look better, 9/10 Mage: I'm actually surprised how much I like this one, even with the big goofy eye, the shoulders are basically a permanent arcane blast and missiles combined, 8.5/10 Priest: Priests just keep on easting good, maybe leans a _little_ too much into the naaru thing but it's still a banger, 9/10 A better turnout than I expected, only two that I _really_ don't like, the rest are either really good or just okay.
40:05 Painted on is far better than clipping, imo. Having a dangling belt clip into a robe is such a turn off for me. Especially if they're from the same set.. I get that all interactions can't be accounted for, but the set should be made so that doesn't happen with itself. Warlock set for example.
As a hunter main (formerly Warrior) the reason Hunter set sucks is because it looks SO similar to Emerald Dream's questing set which is so fresh , there's nothing different to compare Pretty sure they will do the same thing and I'll end up wearing the questing set recolors 😂
Please fire whoever designed that Paladin set, clearly creatively/artistically inept. Looks like a 5 year old drew it. Whoever is designing Priest & Warlock, let them just design all sets from now on, they're putting some passion and effort into their work.
Whoever is designing the priest sets for the past like 5 years is the MVP. Non-stop bangers. 2/3 in dragonflight, 2/3 in shadowlands (both cloth sets from Nathria/Sanctum were bangers for priest), Ny'alotha, and now the first set in TWW as well.

I don't hate the paladin set at all! 7 material, yeah. And the hunter one...yeah. More of the same... /sigh. This DK set is the ugliest set of armor I've ever seen, however... and that's coming from someone who knows just how bad hunter sets get...ugh. Hard pass on DK this tier - not even a 1. I *love* the druid set - though the mask is goofy - as usual. And the HUGE, giant shoulder piece will look terrible on most of those who can be druids, even if it LOOKS cool, here. (The paw is for...druid of the claw. :( ) And shaman...well, so far there's good pieces on most sets, even if the set altogether looks weird and wacky. The water set? Terrible. Goofy. The chest piece? Looks amazing on its own! And damn, warlocks be winnin, I love that look... except for the goofy hair cropping. You're right! It's 2024, let me keep my hair! I am LOVING all the Kirin Tor gear! This mage set...mmf. It can join my lineup with the other 3 Kirin Tor sets I have, lol. And wow...casters got all the best sets! I don't tend to main a caster from teh get-go, but you got me considering it.
The druid set is awesome. the only miss is the helm. I do hate that blizz always puts silly glows on everything. The armor would look so much better without it. The paladin armor looks like a kids toy instead of proper armor. The Shaman set is absolutely terrible. Whoever designed that should be publicly mocked. It's awful. Also, lady, night elves can't be shamans....It should have furs, bones, tribalistic elements. Or if you wanted to go water, you should go kul tiran, naval/scottish vibes. Warlock sucks.
Hunter - I love the little trap. I hope it's on the belt, that little trap makes the whole set for me. 7/10 Paladin - I don't like this set, specifically because the whole set is like ... pastel colored. It doesn't look cool and it's going to be impossible to mog with anything but the Easter sets. 2/10 Death Knight - God, I get they're going for an Aztec vibe, but why? This aesthetic is weird, matches nothing, and doesn't make sense. Honestly the worst DK set imho. 0/10 Druid - Asymmetric shoulders are cool, and I love the mixing of fur and leather here on this set. It's got layers in ways druids don't often get. 8/10 Demon Hunter - This is kind of a bland, unremarkable version of the Aberrus / Amirdrassil set. I feel like I've seen this aesthetic before, but better elsewhere. 4/10 Shaman - I like, LOVE this set because shaman never get water sets. But the helmet is dumb. VERY dumb. 7/10 Warrior - This set has the same problem as paladin, the shading is off. It's too bright and saturated; it needs some grit and tones. Plus the spell effect they're going for on the ivory makes the horns look like plastic rather than bone or even metal. 3/10 Monk - I'm a fan of this one, if only because Niuzao doesn't get many tier sets. Most of them are Xuen, Chi Ji, or Yu-Lon. Those little cloud-like things on the bull's head are also peak Pandaria, it feels very Towlong Steppes. 8/10. Rogue - This set is PERFECT. The absolute chad set. 10/10. Evoker - Oh man, I LOVE this one too. I love, like, the Blue/Red one for Devastation; very Izzet from Magic: The Gathering. And the SHADOWFLAME color! The tones are gorgeous. Too bad you'll never get to see it because Dracthyr don't get to wear armor. 10/10 Warlock - It's based on such an underappreciated demon type and the spell effect is SO good. I disagree about warlocks always getting good sets, though. The Amirdrassil and Aberrus sets both felt like things we've seen already, but this? Unique and PEAK. 11/10. Went beyond, plus ultra. Mage - The color combinations are crisp classics, and the whole vibe is just cool. This is the most interesting thing about the Spellslinger Hero Path, this armor set. The only thing I HATE is that gorgeous Dalaran color set has been datamined to be the Elite PvP Set, so like Dalaran it'll be around for one season and then be gone forever. 10/10 Priest - Absolute amazing. Like, the light ones are just okay, but the VOID one? The VOID one? THE VOID ONE? Very good. Very cool. Amazing. 11/10.

Hunter set, remove the helmet, shoulders and gloves and it is pretty good. Paladin is the same honestly, the shoulders and helmet is just not working. DK set is pretty good, I can see that helmet being used a lot. I like the druid set apart from the helmet. DH is a bit mid, but I love the boots and pants! Shaman is just bad, shoulders could be used with other sets. Warrior has nice effects, I think this set will slap on a Tauren or Dwarf. However the colors are a bit off. Monk is the same story where the helmet and shoulders just look odd. Actually the shoulders would look better if they had been asymmetrical. Rogue is just baller, what they lack in hero talents they gained in a set. Although the boots could've been better. Evoker wins the expansion, best specs and best transmog. (this almost makes me want to reroll main) Warlock set is clearly made for a female character which is cool for people that play female characters, Warlocks have the opposite problem hunter has really. Actually the pants version is better, but the chest piece is not for me. Mage is good, except the shoulders (I'm in a toss up between playing a Surv hunter or Arcane Mage) Priest is not my cup of tea at all. The helmet and shoulders are not doing it for me again.
If Evitel levels a rogue for the rogue transmog, use a boost token if you have it or level it as a last alt in Panda Remix. Low level rogue leveling is horrible!
Hunter sets are almost all awful. Not just design-wise, but why the heck would you give a HUNTER ... MAIL ARMOR. Do you know how loud chainmail is? I mean, if the class was a crossbowman, or rifleman, or something implying you were a part of a larger army, maybe. But HUNTER should be a stealthy fcker or else all the animals they hunt will flee before you even see any. Seriously, a scalemail hauberk and like two dozen bones.. you're gonna rattle in like 250m radius lmao AND glow in the dark. Cause why not.

honestly i REALLY dislike the latest couple of tierset batches, why? because imo the mythic (and elite pvp) versions SHOULD look mor elaborate, i love what they did in wod and especially legion where lfr,normal, heroic and normal pvp versions where colour scheme differences but then mythic and elite pvp versions where the same set but with MORE stuff, if you cant differentiate between an lfr and mythic set AT FIRST GLANCE the tier set fails
Not ya'll trying to defend the shammy set. Before we even get to the ponytail fiasco : The set looks like 3 different armour styles, probably because its recycled art from BC mage and MoP. If the art team cant come up with anything besides recycling due to a lack of imagination, then they should be let go. On to the ponytail.....WTF and I mean WTF in the most disrepectful way. How HOW did that get green lit? You know the art goes through several check points and at everyone they thought it was the best! Why would a shammy have a water pony? Why? what is thethematic reasoning? Yes a shammy can have a ponytail (they in the wild after all) but in no time, place or universe would a shammy ask the ansesters to make them "More Ariana, less thematic."

I actually love the Paladin set, I WISH the warlock set did not have that wierd chestbinder on male models but meh. The druid gear... Get that helmet far away and make the "skirt" go all the way around the butt too please... The evoker set is probably THE meanest bully move Blizz could've ever pulled. The ONE race and class) where you rarely see the gear on (at least not in combat) and they get such an amazing set...
Long comment that I don't expect anyone to read but thoughts while I was watching through. On the Paladin set, I agree about the kinda faceless angel diablo-esque aesthetic... it's kinda thrown by the bright hues. I think like Evitel, if it just didn't have the wings I'd love it a lot more. Meanwhile the DK set belongs in the corner with the Hunter set IMO. The spikes are. Not it for me. Now Druid I like. Tali and I can agree to disagree, I like the pelt touch with it. The helmet is a bit weird but I can go with it. The shoes are a bit weird. The yellow color scheme also looks a bit weird, and the red definitely calls to HZD lmaooooo The DH set reveal made me laugh about the tummy. But also. The horns here feel like they drew on Lilith from D4 for the inspiration for the helm. Also again with the shoes. What is with the toe claw things. Give me shoes!! The teal set looks nice, the red/green combo looks like a twisted version of Xmas coming after you. I almost like the shaman set except the little thing on top of the head looks. Kinda stupid. "IT WOULD BE MARGINALLY BETTER" JAKLSDJFLK Evi's not wrong. And yeah the mail elements look nice with it. Everything except the helmet looks nice to me. All the color variations look nice too. I didn't notice the titan face until you pointed it out, and yeah this whole thing looks so dorky, which can be fun in its own way but isn't my fave thing. Oh gods and there's the santa claus version wth. The animation does look cool, but kinda weird to have the cool effect with the kinda dorky look. Monk wtf. Not doing it for me at all. I didn't even think about the ring thign on the knee but yeah that's gonna be immersion breaking for me now lol Ok but the mist effects around the noses on the pauldrons look nice ETHEREAL ROGUES F YEAH. This thing looks so cool I am absolutely going to be focusing on getting this for my rogue idk what it takes to get the proper voidy ethereal appearance that's a goal for me now. It may not be an ethereal but I like the teal one. The orange & red are unfortunately kinda sad looking but the ethereal, purple/brown, and the teal looks nice. Damn that Evoker set is going all-out hell yeah. Disco Deathwing is great. That warlock set oh daaaaaang. Love the top with the band around the chest even for the men like hell yeah. The veil is so nice too. Fair criticism about the arms. oh NOOOOOOO I was doing fine until the hooves comment. Awww yeah and a pity about the back, just make the veil solid in the back yeah. The mage helm looks SO stupid to me but everything else looks amazing about it. Nice pantaloons, nice shoulders, nice glowy belt & chest thing. The embroidery is fantastic too. I just wish it wasn't like, cyclops look. Eye on the palm would be cool yeah. F YEAH PRIEST looks SO cool. The embroidery, the effects, the helmet, the the face stuff looks so close. I want all of these color schemes. This is great. My priest is just going to be looking fabulous this expac hell yeah.
Thats a valid point on hunter sets, most of the time its just "beastmaster" themed and not "im an archer" themed. Btw blizzard is notoriously bad at designing mail armor. The paladin tier set should not exist, i fucking hate shoulder wings with a passion. The DK set is cool but for me its too many spikes to the point it gets overcrowded Warrior set again should be "less horny". When you put horns on the head and the shoulder it doent always get cooler, it gets crowded. And the texture looks like its made of painted clay BTW proud of being a warlock main since 2006 Warlocks, priest and mages are the clear winners here by miles. Evokers would win too but only you could show that set on your lizard form

The priest set makes me wish priest had a 4th spec that was a scarlet inquisitor/holy fire dps, just smiting everyone left right and center. We did kind of do the same shite as ret paladins now that the range of the paladin abilities is so absurd, but Paladin sets mostly end up hideous. Just like this last one. PUT WINGS AS BACK PIECE< NOT SHOULDERS FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!!!

To me the hunter set is fine for any other tier, but it is absolutely criminal in a raid where we are LITERALLY HUNTING BUGS, that the tier set doesn't have Nerubian bits on it. I mean, wtf Blizz?
Hunters have gotten zero attention so far in TWW. Their hero talents are flat and boring, nearly absent of animations or visuals, not sure why anyone would expect different for the tier set.

@@mackenziefa A lot of the tier sets are themed around some of the hero specs, like the warrior one is clearly the mountain thane, and the evoker one is the scalecommander.
@@Rosstafa The small shadow arrow isn't enough to sell the dark ranger theme. Go look at voidweaver for shadow priest, then go back and look at the 'effort' put into dark ranger. Even the sentinel raining lunar effect, which I thought was too druidic/night elf personally, was altered so that it's now just an owl pooping random lunar bolts at people. Voidweaver, fire mage, ect were handled by the art directors/senior staff. Hunters were handled by interns.

I wish they'd make some sleek hunter sets, tbh I hate the clunky boots, belts & shoulders they always come up with. The bows are sometimes good, but then really difficult to find mogs that look good with them. Or if they did a set per spec, MM could go sleek & form fitting, BM can have the bulky animal themed sets, & SV maybe a rogue-esque type.
Because when hearing Hunter I think of elegance, dark rangers … as if Sylvanas is the only Huntress in the entire game.
It‘s not like Hunters are supposed to be agile and sneaky to hunt their prey and collect their bones to forge an armor out of it. Rexxar is the real embodiment of a hunter - no need for a set looking like a Barbie doll in some goth dress like a freaking vampire.

Instead of doing an ethereal-themed tier set for rogue, they should have really done an ethereal set for each armor type...
That would have been sick for a lot of the classes that didn't have a obvious way of tying the void into their set, like how we got naaru for priests and shadowflame Deathwing for evokers. I think it's a shame we didn't get a sha-corrupted set for monks or some kind of nerubian thing for DKs, there's some more fantastic void flavor in the lore that didn't get utilized. But maybe they're trying not to blow all their void ideas in one swoop. Maybe we'll get more ethereal sets too if this one ends up super popular.

The worst part of the Paladin one is that, without the wings, is not that bad, but texture and colors don't seem to match any other plate shoulder in the game, so will be hard to replace It.
But doesnt matter because everyone will use the Arathi one anyways.

Gotta say that if the Hunter set didn't have the glowy bits, it would look like a leveling or dungeon set.. it's just kind of plain. The Warlock set is pretty great but, I wish there was a non-crop-top chest option. Obviously, this is just me, but I prefer a fully covered torso.
I actually rate the Hunter set a lot more than most people seem to. Imagine a guy who lives in a lonely cabin in the wilderness somewhere whose main hobby is hunting megafauna. The set is *exactly* that.
I can see why people who want a more elven ranger-y aesthetic aren't super happy though.
Also I'm quite sad we didn't get Nelf shamans in DF, cos the new Shaman set would look incredible on them - but doesn't work well with the traditional shaman races particularly well.

It's a green version of one of the DF season one sets. I literally thought it was a mistake at first, and that they had the DF set as a placeholder and forgot to remove it.

I actually think WoW would do well with sets that are extravagant in their simplicity. The over the top neon vomit era needs to end. Give me armor that makes me look like a hero of Azeroth, like Kadgar, or Anduin, Bane, Thrall, ect. Either that or the leaders need to dress up in their glowy neon gear to match us in our ridiculousness.
I think the hunter is misrepresented as a class for so many people, we all have different ideas what it means to be a hunter but I think Blizzard has the most different idea of all. For me, being a hunter and a Beastmaster especially is more about being friends to the animals, having them choose me as a companion to fight with is pretty special. I would not then go out and trap them all horribly, or wear their bones across my shoulders and on my head. It gives completely different messages. Why would an animal choose me as a companion, if I go around murdering them all the time? Surely I'm the least likely person to hang around with then. To me there should definitely be an aspect of that friendship represented more. I'm not hunting animals as a class, I'm a hunter of foes, with an animal.
I agree with this so much. There are so many ways a hunter class can be interpreted. It can be your regular Hemet Nesingwary type character that just hunts exotic beasts, skins them and then wears them or it can be an Alleria type archer that doesn't even have to hunt animals and is rather a more military oriented character. And of course the Aragorn type ranger that understands herbs, can track and generally is skilled equally with blade and bow. There's of course survival to represent that, but I don't think we have actually any prominent characters in wow lore like that. I always play MM and without a pet and would really appreciate to see more of those archer/ranger style sets, like the Nighthold set. Most sets are either animal parts or just brown garbage. Some druid sets would work great for a hunter with their more herbal aesthetic.
Maybe you can imagine them as the bones of a beloved deceased pet companion. When you wear their bones you honour their memory and bless your future hunts. Your pets also see this as a sign of the amount of respect you have for your previous animal companions.
Hope that perspective helps with the class fantasy.

Both need to be effin quiet to hunt their targets. Neither should wear MAIL. Or bones. Or glow effects.
The only type of archer that should wear something other than leather/cloth is some army archer that just stands behind your own lines and shoots at enemy lines without having to worry about being seen or heard.
mail sets barely even fit a shaman, let alone hunter. This one would certainly fit shaman more than a hunter, outside of that one tiny. supposedly bear, trap on the hip.

I think the issue is that in game hunters are absolutely hunters of animals. As in they kill animals and display them as trophies. Just look at any nessingwary quests. So your interpretation isn't really a thing much in game at all. Even Rexxar, who would never hurt Misha, still hunts other animals as a part of who he is.
Beastmaster based on what we have in game is basically "I have animal companions and they love me, but I go kill other animals that aren't part of my crew with those animals that love me". There is no "all animals are my friends" hunter

Hunters recently have had pretty trash tier sets. Its always a horrible headpiece and bad shoulders which are the most important parts

Kitty caps are those plastic sheaths that you put over your housecat's toenails so that they don't scratch up your furniture.

As a resto sham main, this is exactly what I want. We have those cool water weps from legion but no water animation armor to go with it. Its about time my resto sham can actually have water on my armor.

Here is a wild concept for Bliz... why not make a tier set that actually looks like the armor type instead of everything looking like plate or plate adjacent. Lets actually see a full mail, cloth, leather etc.
I invite you to look back at classic when they did that, and then move up the expansions counting all the fan favorites we wouldn't have gotten if they kept that.
Even now, 2 of the fan favorites: Evoker looks similar to a plate set despite being mail, and the Rogue is literally wrapped in cloth bandages while being leather.
*It's not that your idea sounds bad, in fact it makes sense. But 2 decades of experience have shown its better when they don't narrow design choices too strictly to armor type, which nowadays is really just a game design tool rather than cosmetic.*

Exactly what I said.... the wolf mask and shoulders, the belt emblem, the claw fist gloves and boots. It screams Shaman set, and would be perfect esp for Enhance shaman. I wish it was the Shaman set instead. Even the colors are better..... it has fire frost and nature color themes. Meanwhile, the shaman set is lame and only water themed with bad color palletes. Plus they only showed kilts for shaman no leg version. How lame, i am disappointed and jelly that druids got a better themed set.
what I really really REALLY can't stand about the mage set is that they went and made the Dalaran tan/purple color... you know the GOOD one that we all want, the elite PVP set. wtf blizz that's a diabolical choice.

Warlock: Shivarra suit to live out all your slut wizard dreams, perfect, the arms are just the icing on top. The default-ass WoW skirt model brings it down a bit, the pants look better, 9/10
Mage: I'm actually surprised how much I like this one, even with the big goofy eye, the shoulders are basically a permanent arcane blast and missiles combined, 8.5/10
Priest: Priests just keep on easting good, maybe leans a _little_ too much into the naaru thing but it's still a banger, 9/10

40:05 Painted on is far better than clipping, imo. Having a dangling belt clip into a robe is such a turn off for me. Especially if they're from the same set.. I get that all interactions can't be accounted for, but the set should be made so that doesn't happen with itself. Warlock set for example.
As a hunter main (formerly Warrior) the reason Hunter set sucks is because it looks SO similar to Emerald Dream's questing set which is so fresh , there's nothing different to compare

I don't think characters should be able to wear all types of armor, but I would like to see once you have a set, any characters can wear the transmog.
Biggest issue with the evoker set is that I don't want to be in visage form ever and no amount of good transmog will ever change my mind on that.
Please fire whoever designed that Paladin set, clearly creatively/artistically inept. Looks like a 5 year old drew it. Whoever is designing Priest & Warlock, let them just design all sets from now on, they're putting some passion and effort into their work.

Whoever is designing the priest sets for the past like 5 years is the MVP. Non-stop bangers. 2/3 in dragonflight, 2/3 in shadowlands (both cloth sets from Nathria/Sanctum were bangers for priest), Ny'alotha, and now the first set in TWW as well.

I don't hate the paladin set at all! 7 material, yeah. And the hunter one...yeah. More of the same... /sigh. This DK set is the ugliest set of armor I've ever seen, however... and that's coming from someone who knows just how bad hunter sets get...ugh. Hard pass on DK this tier - not even a 1. I *love* the druid set - though the mask is goofy - as usual. And the HUGE, giant shoulder piece will look terrible on most of those who can be druids, even if it LOOKS cool, here. (The paw is for...druid of the claw. :( ) And shaman...well, so far there's good pieces on most sets, even if the set altogether looks weird and wacky. The water set? Terrible. Goofy. The chest piece? Looks amazing on its own! And damn, warlocks be winnin, I love that look... except for the goofy hair cropping. You're right! It's 2024, let me keep my hair! I am LOVING all the Kirin Tor gear! This mage set...mmf. It can join my lineup with the other 3 Kirin Tor sets I have, lol. And wow...casters got all the best sets! I don't tend to main a caster from teh get-go, but you got me considering it.
The druid set is awesome. the only miss is the helm. I do hate that blizz always puts silly glows on everything. The armor would look so much better without it. The paladin armor looks like a kids toy instead of proper armor. The Shaman set is absolutely terrible. Whoever designed that should be publicly mocked. It's awful. Also, lady, night elves can't be shamans....It should have furs, bones, tribalistic elements. Or if you wanted to go water, you should go kul tiran, naval/scottish vibes. Warlock sucks.
Hunter - I love the little trap. I hope it's on the belt, that little trap makes the whole set for me. 7/10
Paladin - I don't like this set, specifically because the whole set is like ... pastel colored. It doesn't look cool and it's going to be impossible to mog with anything but the Easter sets. 2/10
Death Knight - God, I get they're going for an Aztec vibe, but why? This aesthetic is weird, matches nothing, and doesn't make sense. Honestly the worst DK set imho. 0/10
Druid - Asymmetric shoulders are cool, and I love the mixing of fur and leather here on this set. It's got layers in ways druids don't often get. 8/10
Demon Hunter - This is kind of a bland, unremarkable version of the Aberrus / Amirdrassil set. I feel like I've seen this aesthetic before, but better elsewhere. 4/10
Shaman - I like, LOVE this set because shaman never get water sets. But the helmet is dumb. VERY dumb. 7/10
Warrior - This set has the same problem as paladin, the shading is off. It's too bright and saturated; it needs some grit and tones. Plus the spell effect they're going for on the ivory makes the horns look like plastic rather than bone or even metal. 3/10
Monk - I'm a fan of this one, if only because Niuzao doesn't get many tier sets. Most of them are Xuen, Chi Ji, or Yu-Lon. Those little cloud-like things on the bull's head are also peak Pandaria, it feels very Towlong Steppes. 8/10.
Rogue - This set is PERFECT. The absolute chad set. 10/10.
Evoker - Oh man, I LOVE this one too. I love, like, the Blue/Red one for Devastation; very Izzet from Magic: The Gathering. And the SHADOWFLAME color! The tones are gorgeous. Too bad you'll never get to see it because Dracthyr don't get to wear armor. 10/10
Warlock - It's based on such an underappreciated demon type and the spell effect is SO good. I disagree about warlocks always getting good sets, though. The Amirdrassil and Aberrus sets both felt like things we've seen already, but this? Unique and PEAK. 11/10. Went beyond, plus ultra.
Mage - The color combinations are crisp classics, and the whole vibe is just cool. This is the most interesting thing about the Spellslinger Hero Path, this armor set. The only thing I HATE is that gorgeous Dalaran color set has been datamined to be the Elite PvP Set, so like Dalaran it'll be around for one season and then be gone forever. 10/10
Priest - Absolute amazing. Like, the light ones are just okay, but the VOID one? The VOID one? THE VOID ONE? Very good. Very cool. Amazing. 11/10.

Hunter set, remove the helmet, shoulders and gloves and it is pretty good.
Paladin is the same honestly, the shoulders and helmet is just not working.

Shaman is just bad, shoulders could be used with other sets.
Warrior has nice effects, I think this set will slap on a Tauren or Dwarf. However the colors are a bit off.
Monk is the same story where the helmet and shoulders just look odd. Actually the shoulders would look better if they had been asymmetrical.
Rogue is just baller, what they lack in hero talents they gained in a set. Although the boots could've been better.

If Evitel levels a rogue for the rogue transmog, use a boost token if you have it or level it as a last alt in Panda Remix. Low level rogue leveling is horrible!

Hunter sets are almost all awful.
Not just design-wise, but why the heck would you give a HUNTER ... MAIL ARMOR. Do you know how loud chainmail is? I mean, if the class was a crossbowman, or rifleman, or something implying you were a part of a larger army, maybe. But HUNTER should be a stealthy fcker or else all the animals they hunt will flee before you even see any.
Seriously, a scalemail hauberk and like two dozen bones.. you're gonna rattle in like 250m radius lmao AND glow in the dark. Cause why not.

honestly i REALLY dislike the latest couple of tierset batches, why? because imo the mythic (and elite pvp) versions SHOULD look mor elaborate, i love what they did in wod and especially legion where lfr,normal, heroic and normal pvp versions where colour scheme differences but then mythic and elite pvp versions where the same set but with MORE stuff, if you cant differentiate between an lfr and mythic set AT FIRST GLANCE the tier set fails
Not ya'll trying to defend the shammy set. Before we even get to the ponytail fiasco : The set looks like 3 different armour styles, probably because its recycled art from BC mage and MoP. If the art team cant come up with anything besides recycling due to a lack of imagination, then they should be let go. On to the ponytail.....WTF and I mean WTF in the most disrepectful way. How HOW did that get green lit? You know the art goes through several check points and at everyone they thought it was the best! Why would a shammy have a water pony? Why? what is thethematic reasoning? Yes a shammy can have a ponytail (they in the wild after all) but in no time, place or universe would a shammy ask the ansesters to make them "More Ariana, less thematic."

I actually love the Paladin set, I WISH the warlock set did not have that wierd chestbinder on male models but meh. The druid gear... Get that helmet far away and make the "skirt" go all the way around the butt too please... The evoker set is probably THE meanest bully move Blizz could've ever pulled. The ONE race and class) where you rarely see the gear on (at least not in combat) and they get such an amazing set...
Long comment that I don't expect anyone to read but thoughts while I was watching through.
On the Paladin set, I agree about the kinda faceless angel diablo-esque aesthetic... it's kinda thrown by the bright hues. I think like Evitel, if it just didn't have the wings I'd love it a lot more.
Meanwhile the DK set belongs in the corner with the Hunter set IMO. The spikes are. Not it for me.
Now Druid I like. Tali and I can agree to disagree, I like the pelt touch with it. The helmet is a bit weird but I can go with it. The shoes are a bit weird. The yellow color scheme also looks a bit weird, and the red definitely calls to HZD lmaooooo
The DH set reveal made me laugh about the tummy. But also. The horns here feel like they drew on Lilith from D4 for the inspiration for the helm. Also again with the shoes. What is with the toe claw things. Give me shoes!! The teal set looks nice, the red/green combo looks like a twisted version of Xmas coming after you.
I almost like the shaman set except the little thing on top of the head looks. Kinda stupid. "IT WOULD BE MARGINALLY BETTER" JAKLSDJFLK Evi's not wrong. And yeah the mail elements look nice with it. Everything except the helmet looks nice to me. All the color variations look nice too.
I didn't notice the titan face until you pointed it out, and yeah this whole thing looks so dorky, which can be fun in its own way but isn't my fave thing. Oh gods and there's the santa claus version wth. The animation does look cool, but kinda weird to have the cool effect with the kinda dorky look.
Monk wtf. Not doing it for me at all. I didn't even think about the ring thign on the knee but yeah that's gonna be immersion breaking for me now lol Ok but the mist effects around the noses on the pauldrons look nice
ETHEREAL ROGUES F YEAH. This thing looks so cool I am absolutely going to be focusing on getting this for my rogue idk what it takes to get the proper voidy ethereal appearance that's a goal for me now. It may not be an ethereal but I like the teal one. The orange & red are unfortunately kinda sad looking but the ethereal, purple/brown, and the teal looks nice.
Damn that Evoker set is going all-out hell yeah. Disco Deathwing is great.
That warlock set oh daaaaaang. Love the top with the band around the chest even for the men like hell yeah. The veil is so nice too. Fair criticism about the arms. oh NOOOOOOO I was doing fine until the hooves comment. Awww yeah and a pity about the back, just make the veil solid in the back yeah.
The mage helm looks SO stupid to me but everything else looks amazing about it. Nice pantaloons, nice shoulders, nice glowy belt & chest thing. The embroidery is fantastic too. I just wish it wasn't like, cyclops look. Eye on the palm would be cool yeah.
F YEAH PRIEST looks SO cool. The embroidery, the effects, the helmet, the the face stuff looks so close. I want all of these color schemes. This is great. My priest is just going to be looking fabulous this expac hell yeah.
Thats a valid point on hunter sets, most of the time its just "beastmaster" themed and not "im an archer" themed. Btw blizzard is notoriously bad at designing mail armor.
The paladin tier set should not exist, i fucking hate shoulder wings with a passion.
The DK set is cool but for me its too many spikes to the point it gets overcrowded
Warrior set again should be "less horny". When you put horns on the head and the shoulder it doent always get cooler, it gets crowded. And the texture looks like its made of painted clay

Warlocks, priest and mages are the clear winners here by miles. Evokers would win too but only you could show that set on your lizard form
