My local Lidl didn’t seem to have as much as you guys found. My sister who is non-vegan prefers the vegan mince rather that the ‘meat mince’ The only annoying thing is that these budget shops do is they only seem to sell these products for January (some products still remain) but for my local Aldi and Lidl they only really do most of their vegan range for January (vegauary) Katie not being impressed with Bob rapping / singing…maybe he should try out some mid-vlog tunes?? Scrambled tofu yes..I add baby spinach, cherry tomatoes, onion, cumin and nutritional yeast to mine as well. Yum. Also yes please ,please sing Bob. Wow! Such a fantastic range, I live in Spain & my local Lidl only have a small vegan range, it used to be much bigger & although I'm grateful for what they do have I'm disappointed they have stopped doing so much of what they did. In my store they also normally do Veganuary & have more items on offer which tend to stock up on, but if I go in this week & Veganuary is not as good as past years, I will be of the assumption that it must be a different manager running the store than before 🥺🌱.Of the Vermondo range I can currently get I love the firm tofu, Salchiveggie tofu sausages, vegan fish fingers, blueberry & vanilla yogurt, chocolate chunk ice cream, strawberry cheesecake ice cream to name just a few. Oh & that vegan chocolate spread is delicious, I hope my store get that back in, also their chicken burgers are amazing, praying for the return of those too! 🙏☺️😋🌱 Thanks for this video so interesting, looking forward to the taste testing!! 🥳🧆🥘🥙🌮🍕🍨🌱

#livebutnotlive in Minot North Dakota. I actually started eating vegan options because I have high cholesterol at a young age. A lot of the foods that I like to eat only fit my diet in the vegan option. The challenge that our family is personally choosing to follow for January is low spend January. I'm not sure how it is there but in the states January is actually really good time to stock up on pantry and freezer items (their "regular price" is usually at its lowest right now). So I don't do a no spend January. We're just only buying stuff if it's on sale otherwise for living off of our stockpile.

Would love to see that series M&S apparently are bringing out Easter eggs and sponge cakes in their plant kitchen range! The UK lidl has a lot more vegan products than the Irish ones haha we had maybe 15 of them products 😂 the chocolate spread is so delicious! 👀 I recommend it with breadsticks or pretzels! 😂 And I love that coat! It suits you so much Katie it’s giving such cosy vibes I went onto M&S to see could I get one but my size was out of stock 🥲! And I was the same katie I always ate vegan mince for years I found the taste better and it just went into recipes so much better! We had a chili competition in our youth centre one year and I went up against two of my friends with vegan mince while they had beef mince and mine won and the large pot I made was empty 😂! I didn’t tell anyone it was vegan until it was gone 😂 I’d been trying to tell them for so long there was no difference and they never believed me 😂! And Bob I’m sure we’d all love to see your many musical styles 😂
I've said it before, but this video emphasises it... every time I see British RUclipsrs buying vegan products in the supermarket I am so envious. The range available here (Australia) is a small fraction of what is available to you and the prices here are generally ridiculous. (Edited to add the options are probably better in more cosmopolitan areas such as Melbourne but where I am it's difficult to even find a decent vegan option in a cafe or restaurant).
From what we hear we are very lucky where we are especially here in London as there are so many places that don't have anywhere near the amount of options. We're hoping that as veganism grows there will be more options everywhere. Sending big love Merri 💚
This was me in Aldi last week! Why do they bring out the new Vegan products when I’m trying to start a healthy new year! ALDIs battered sausages are calling me from the freezer every day 😂 It’s a shame a lot of the new products disappear after a month or two x
Over Christmas I tried a few vegan stuff, I tried homemade tofu and my sister in law added something called black salt as well to make it taste more like egg and it was soooo good, she made it nice and creamy and everything, then I tried bit of vegan mayo too, but we also had a tiffin cracker chocolate ginger thing from tesco which is accidentally vegan and that was delish and then i tried catherdal city vegan cheddar and that was nice as well, the texture was a bit different it was more crumbly but the taste was pretty spot on as well, an this is a big step for me as well cos rewind 8 years ago (thats how long ive been with my fella) i was too scared to try stuff

i had a few questions about a couple of the vegan products - what is the texture of the tofu's, the nuggets, and sausages? - is there a way to get more flavour into hummus so that it doesn't just taste like chickpeas? - what can i use as a substitute for cream cheese in cheesecakes? I've been fully dairy free for a almost 2 years now and still have a lot of issues finding substitutes for certain foods etc and not able to have peanuts/nuts (recently discovered almonds are okay though) but finding stuff can be a challenge sometimes. Please do a taste test video with all the products, I live in Ireland and even though we do have Lidl here we only get about a quarter of the products you guys get in the U.K. Would love to see what the quality of the items is like and whether or not you would buy them again if Lidl continued to sell them after Veganuary. That's one of my biggest gripes with both Lidl and Aldi, they bring out loads of fabulous things for Veganyary and then once January is over all the products disappear till the next year! Lidl and Aldi management need to understand that when we choose veganism it's a lifetime commitment for the animals and to ensure we don't participate in all that cruelty, many people doing veganuary want to stick to this choice don't they? Anyway, well done guys finding such a huge array of things and would love to see you using the goods in your everyday lives and getting yours and the kids opinions, can you also tell us the prices as you use the things as well? I’m going to say that I work for Lidl, and at least in my area we have been having the yogurts that you got all year, the milk we normally don’t have the hazelnut one, the rest we do, the ice creams as well, at least since like Oct/Nov, the burgers and the sausages that you got at the beginning of the video are also something we have been having all year, sausage rolls as well, not vemondo brand, but I know there is sausages and burger patties in the freezer that are vegan, mince meat as well. Hopefully it will help. Unfortunately it isn’t a massive range, but I think it is because the head offices ask for the vegan products to be separated from the non vegan products, and some stores don’t have the space for all the products.

I have been thinking about veganuary, I give it a go no promises as I have an intolerance to certain things like soy and dairy. I don't eat much meat much anyway.
Duvet coats are the latest but do we want to walk around looking like we have a duvet wrapped around us,I love your coat and the colour is lovely.we still have our decorations up we figure it takes quite a while to put them all up so whats the hurry to take them down.we normally take them down in the last week of January .making sure by the end of January everything is all packed /wrapped and put away.we have some christmas lights and any decorations outside we normally take down earlier about now,I had no idea that the food in the usa costs twice the price of the uk only found that out the other day,.But most other goods electronics clothes toys etc are cheaper then the uk,Here we are complaining about how much are food costs in the uk lol.I am vegetarian not vegan

Same at my Lidl, and Aldi nothing after January, I've complained but been told it's January only, so I don't tend to support them anymore.

Hi Lana, thank you so much for the birthday wishes, I know what you mean, so many of the coats in shops look a bit like sleeping bags, we bought one for JoJo the other day that looks like a red sleeping bag 😂 but he says he loves it because its nice a cozy and warm.

Wow! Such a fantastic range, I live in Spain & my local Lidl only have a small vegan range, it used to be much bigger & although I'm grateful for what they do have I'm disappointed they have stopped doing so much of what they did. In my store they also normally do Veganuary & have more items on offer which tend to stock up on, but if I go in this week & Veganuary is not as good as past years, I will be of the assumption that it must be a different manager running the store than before 🥺🌱.Of the Vermondo range I can currently get I love the firm tofu, Salchiveggie tofu sausages, vegan fish fingers, blueberry & vanilla yogurt, chocolate chunk ice cream, strawberry cheesecake ice cream to name just a few. Oh & that vegan chocolate spread is delicious, I hope my store get that back in, also their chicken burgers are amazing, praying for the return of those too! 🙏☺️😋🌱 Thanks for this video so interesting, looking forward to the taste testing!! 🥳🧆🥘🥙🌮🍕🍨🌱

#livebutnotlive in Minot North Dakota. I actually started eating vegan options because I have high cholesterol at a young age. A lot of the foods that I like to eat only fit my diet in the vegan option. The challenge that our family is personally choosing to follow for January is low spend January. I'm not sure how it is there but in the states January is actually really good time to stock up on pantry and freezer items (their "regular price" is usually at its lowest right now). So I don't do a no spend January. We're just only buying stuff if it's on sale otherwise for living off of our stockpile.
Hey Milly, Yeah it's so frustrating that they will often discontinue a lot of the vegan products after January, it must be really frustrating for people doing Vganuary that want to continue with vaganism :/

The UK lidl has a lot more vegan products than the Irish ones haha we had maybe 15 of them products 😂 the chocolate spread is so delicious! 👀 I recommend it with breadsticks or pretzels! 😂

And I was the same katie I always ate vegan mince for years I found the taste better and it just went into recipes so much better! We had a chili competition in our youth centre one year and I went up against two of my friends with vegan mince while they had beef mince and mine won and the large pot I made was empty 😂! I didn’t tell anyone it was vegan until it was gone 😂 I’d been trying to tell them for so long there was no difference and they never believed me 😂!

I've said it before, but this video emphasises it... every time I see British RUclipsrs buying vegan products in the supermarket I am so envious. The range available here (Australia) is a small fraction of what is available to you and the prices here are generally ridiculous.
(Edited to add the options are probably better in more cosmopolitan areas such as Melbourne but where I am it's difficult to even find a decent vegan option in a cafe or restaurant).
From what we hear we are very lucky where we are especially here in London as there are so many places that don't have anywhere near the amount of options. We're hoping that as veganism grows there will be more options everywhere. Sending big love Merri 💚

Over Christmas I tried a few vegan stuff, I tried homemade tofu and my sister in law added something called black salt as well to make it taste more like egg and it was soooo good, she made it nice and creamy and everything, then I tried bit of vegan mayo too, but we also had a tiffin cracker chocolate ginger thing from tesco which is accidentally vegan and that was delish and then i tried catherdal city vegan cheddar and that was nice as well, the texture was a bit different it was more crumbly but the taste was pretty spot on as well, an this is a big step for me as well cos rewind 8 years ago (thats how long ive been with my fella) i was too scared to try stuff

i had a few questions about a couple of the vegan products
- what is the texture of the tofu's, the nuggets, and sausages?
- is there a way to get more flavour into hummus so that it doesn't just taste like chickpeas?
- what can i use as a substitute for cream cheese in cheesecakes?
I've been fully dairy free for a almost 2 years now and still have a lot of issues finding substitutes for certain foods etc and not able to have peanuts/nuts (recently discovered almonds are okay though) but finding stuff can be a challenge sometimes.

Please do a taste test video with all the products, I live in Ireland and even though we do have Lidl here we only get about a quarter of the products you guys get in the U.K. Would love to see what the quality of the items is like and whether or not you would buy them again if Lidl continued to sell them after Veganuary. That's one of my biggest gripes with both Lidl and Aldi, they bring out loads of fabulous things for Veganyary and then once January is over all the products disappear till the next year! Lidl and Aldi management need to understand that when we choose veganism it's a lifetime commitment for the animals and to ensure we don't participate in all that cruelty, many people doing veganuary want to stick to this choice don't they? Anyway, well done guys finding such a huge array of things and would love to see you using the goods in your everyday lives and getting yours and the kids opinions, can you also tell us the prices as you use the things as well? I’m going to say that I work for Lidl, and at least in my area we have been having the yogurts that you got all year, the milk we normally don’t have the hazelnut one, the rest we do, the ice creams as well, at least since like Oct/Nov, the burgers and the sausages that you got at the beginning of the video are also something we have been having all year, sausage rolls as well, not vemondo brand, but I know there is sausages and burger patties in the freezer that are vegan, mince meat as well. Hopefully it will help. Unfortunately it isn’t a massive range, but I think it is because the head offices ask for the vegan products to be separated from the non vegan products, and some stores don’t have the space for all the products.
Could do with an upto date taste test of current lidl products for us newbies to vegan

I tried becoming vegan but I’m struggling as some of the food I’ve tried isn’t what my taste buds are used to, so for now I’m mainly vegetarian but hoping to slowly ease myself into being vegan whilst I try and find what I like ect, will 100% go into Lidl within the next couple of days x

I wish the factories would invent new words for vegan food, because it is all too confusing.
I have seen vegan bacon, which looks and tastes like bacon, vegan butter, which has been around for a long time and should be called margerine, vegan chicken kiev, and even vegan chilli con carne, which literally means vegan chilli with meat.
Maybe the gang could invent some new food words.

Duvet coats are the latest but do we want to walk around looking like we have a duvet wrapped around us,I love your coat and the colour is lovely.we still have our decorations up we figure it takes quite a while to put them all up so whats the hurry to take them down.we normally take them down in the last week of January .making sure by the end of January everything is all packed /wrapped and put away.we have some christmas lights and any decorations outside we normally take down earlier about now,I had no idea that the food in the usa costs twice the price of the uk only found that out the other day,.But most other goods electronics clothes toys etc are cheaper then the uk,Here we are complaining about how much are food costs in the uk lol.I am vegetarian not vegan
