Ok this made me reflect so much and she’s so right. And it works for everything. We are so often driven (I include myself) by the need for recognition, in the end most of the time what matter isn’t the process it’s the result. Ofc result includes decision making, however if you work for the greater good then your work shouldn’t ask for retribution, nor be driven by ego.

I can't speak for her of course, but she has mentioned many times that she thinks the music should speak for itself. It's her work that should be central, not her self. Which I think is really cool, and is very rare among artists in pop/rock music.
She had a bad time with The Red Shoes album in 1993. Iirc she had a series of close friend and family deaths around her including her mother around that time and she just sort of withdrew from the public eye. She didn’t release another album until 12 years later with Aerial. Even now, she’s been described as reclusive because she is very rarely caught out and about.
@@razrv3lc sounds like traumatized losing her mother. I wondered if she’d do any interviews after agreeing to use her song in Stranger Things, but only a few short statements. I certainly don’t blame her for not wanting the spotlight.

Just Google. She takes her time but still makes albums and was number one in the streaming charts for weeks last year.
She's always been working away in privacy and she hates the spotlight, preferring a quiet life.
