Thank you for all your hard work ! This is such an amazing project and I can't believe you haven't been hired by mojang. They need this in vanilla. It makes exploring your world feel more like your choice rather than running around randomly.
I can see where this is going. This mod will become a supermod. The kind of mod that other mods branch off of. Such as optifine.
Yes! Thanks for your hard work. This is a mod once you get used to it can't do without it. It turns minecraft into whole experience, only after using this mod I was able to see what minecraft was missing the true openworld feeling. Well done.
RAIN WORLD MENTIONED⛈⛈⛈🐈🐈
God bless you man!, i wish you all the best.
ran worl
this is one of my favourite mods!
if i grow up and this exists, i will donate!
that 1.16.5 part is crazy! thank you! (i play 1.16.5 on my survival world)

I went back to watch all previous release videos, and the progress is insane! This mod has the power to change the modding scene vastly. Would love to see mojang implement/work with you in creating something truly beneficial to the game.
thank you so much for your work. the fact that good people like you do this instead of billion dollar companies is disheartening.
That bug montage made my day, it was hilarious, I've never really thought of keeping a record of my craziest bugs, but maybe I should
loved the bug montage
Thanks for everything. It helps a lot. I really love this mod.
Thank you for your service, King
👑 Sad to hear it, tho
Thank you for everything you've done, man. It's great to hear that you'll still be involved in the project in the future, even if it won't be as deeply as before. But regardless, even if you walked away from it entirely now, you've already left a mark on this community that will most likely last a lifetime. Seriously, thank you. Rest assured that you made something incredible.
the bug compilation?.... one of the funniest things ive seen so far in this year, great video man!
vid is really professionally put together, hyped for 2.0 and tysm for this. DH is borderline unimaginable and child me playing beta with a 30 block far fog would be so happy to see what u made.
Lemme give u a kiss bro my pc buit in 2013 and finally see past 12 chunks and can now render 150 chunks (low settings) like seriously, that’s a god send. Can’t wait to see how distant horizons improves over time, we will miss you but we are happy for you leaving for your own good!
tbh i think this is the single most complex and ambitious minecraft mod ever even attempted and its beautiful. its perfect. wonderful work.
0:10 I left my office job 6 months ago, you gave me PTSD
This is actually the first I'm hearing of this project, it looks awesome! I'll definitely be checking it out!
This mod single-handedly made me interested in minecraft again, thanks for everything and good luck on your endeavours.
the rain world soundtrack.... just so.... good... hypnotic...

don´t burnout!!!
the mod is amazing, yes it can always be better, but take a rest, it will be good for you!
The rain world music im in love
3:29 I like how clouds are rendering in front of the mountains lol
That montage was the stuff of dreams and nightmares. It's beautiful. I have so much respect for you.
Awesome mod, and I love the progress being done, but as a side note, thanks for the exposing me to Rain World, the music is oh so good lol.
Installed this mod. Jesus! I've been spending 2+ years trying to make minecraft look breathtaking, and this takes the cake. Well done, continue on your work!
Really appreciate your work!
Honestly, the most game changing mod I've ever come across, and what makes me keep coming back to MC from time to time. Literally can't play without it anymore. When you unlock the sheer magnitude of the splendid landscapes Minecraft can create you just can't go back. Thanks for your wonderful work and take care, hope you find yourself feeling better going forward!!
More shaders getting supported (while still looking good) is definitely the key to making this mod even more awesome then it already is :)
Love all the work you and the team have done!❤
I was kind of surprised to get this in my recommended tab but I'm glad I did. The algorithm has blessed you. I hope even more people get to see this incredible mod you've created.
Mate thank you so much for making this mod! By far one of the best mods for minecraft of all time. It really should be in the base game.
As a full time software engineer myself, I fully understand your decision to take a step back on your personal projects. If you were to ask me, I'd even say that keeping a healthy life, working fulltime and also keeping a side-project up-to-date is simply impossible. All the times I've tried, I've failed. So major props to you on this!
I do feel however that this feature should just be implemented into the base game. With your POC, you've shown how seamlessly it can be integrated, even as a modder. It should be possible for developers who have access to the source code to implement this in the base game. It would certainly be a much better improvement than just adding more mod-like content into the base game IMHO.
You frigging gave me a work related jumpscare with that teams call tune
This is an incredible project, thank you for all the work you have put in and for this video. I hope you take care of yourself.
Thanks for not leaving us in the dark too many mods or channels do that kinda go used to it
I recently experienced Distant Horizons in a modpack. It was immersive AF. I didn't even need a map because I could see the whole world in the distance. Thanks for the cool mod.
Dude this is awesome, I'm just about to start a modded playthrough tonight so the timing is impeccable
Its hard to describe just how much this mod improved Minecraft. It was like a technological leap, from steam to combustion. Thank you for your project, and I hope you find your best mental balance.
i was so confused why this was in my recommended, and then i noticed the rainworld ost playing in the background. good taste!
I love this project and this makes me so happy to have this amazing mod in 1.10
I love the behind-the-scenes bug stuff. You never see that from ANY projects, only the polished final product
Incredible. This is amazing!
