Battlefield 4 was probably the best battlefield in my opinion, almost all maps all had at least one event that changed a large portion of the map, something they need more of that in 2042 for sure

I mean while you're right it's kinda misleading. The skyscraper in BF4 could only be destroyed by hitting its pillars not just randomly shooting at the glass. Also it was the only destructible skyscraper in the whole game, none of the other skyscrapers could be destroyed

Battlefield 3 "Back to Karkand" expansion had a nice destruction. The basically added a lot of debris on impact. Sometimes it could change the outcome of the firefight, combined with screen shake and debris.
BF 3 destruction was so good. Hiding in rubble while an enemy tank decimated a house was good suspense. Also that one map playing Rush where you base jump down to the next point was sick af.
This is unfortunately exactly how I feel as well, I played all the battlefields up to 2042 never regretted buying a single one of them due to the countless hours of jaw dropping entertainment I got from them…. I bought 2042 and was sooo excited, I played for about an hour and hated just about every single part of the game, couldn’t of felt like more of waste of money I swear

Personally I got bored of BF1 after 3 months and didn't necessarily get bored of BFV but didn't really have anyone to play it with after 4 months. But I played BF3 for roughly 3 years and BF4 for another 2-3 years. And even Hardline for nearly 2 years. 2042 I gave it a week and was completely done. Tried hopping on a couple days ago after over 400 ImPrOvEmEnTs but it's still complete garbage.

They went towards entertainment, but the ideal game would be a mixture of Bf + Arma = a step towards realism. In Bf3 you can kill with the rubble of a building by shooting him with an RPG. At the Grand Bazaar, in the corridor, I made five kills with debris. 3 is my abso favourite, 4 is good weapon accesories update but reduced map destruction and they started production on the conweyr line. 42 is like Fortnite, CRSED, PUBG, COD orgy.
the building that collapsed on bf4 was a script and in fact it always fell the same way. in addition, it was the only building on the map to fall. buying the general destruction of bf 2042 with that of the old bf you can clearly see the qualitative leap of the physics engine
Battlefield should go back to a mix of 4 and BF1s destruction also a few cool ass maps like the earthquake ones from bf3 where buildings already are crumbling as you play
This is a totally unfair comparison… that skyscraper in 4 was a Levolution, try shooting rockets at any other tall building in BF4 on any map and it’ll do the same it did in the 2042 clip. But I also despise 2042, and BF4 is my favorite modern warfare-class FPS of all time, so I dunno why I’m standing up for 2042 here.
at least 2042 has bot support and custom servers/matches that still lets you unlock stuff it's the only battlefield game I enjoyed that came out after 2142 because I could actually create my own fun again instead of just playing through a boring campaign once then never playing again

Both BF3 and BF4 have sparse maps with small destructible buildings (although BF4’s large maps seem more empty), let’s just say they’re even on destruction there. For smaller, tighter maps, I’d say BF4 has less destruction than BF3 because of those indestructible structures. BF3 also let you kill players with falling rubble which they seemed to have removed in BF4 except those planks propping up the ceiling in Metro.

That base jump was always fun but using rubble to prone and hide and if the tank doesn't see you. It's a complete win in itself

The 2042 clip, it looks like a building you don’t even have access to, in bf4 that building was meant to fall and changes the points after.
In BF4 I was impressed when I first encountered it in multiplayer😮

People don't understand, obviously in 2042 they made sure the buildings won't fall like in BF4, it would cost more to rebuild it again and again so they made it indestructible

The power and monitor screens should go out when you hit the towers ( this sort of realism adds immersion)
They don’t upgrade but downgrade the latest entry of the series

Everyone's firing at the wrong points in bf4 like it does anything to help it fall down
And in COD Warzone a Twig is more Stable then a Car when you try ram it over
I've played BF4 on 3 different console's its just that good.
Just about every map had some sort of cool gimic that could turn the game around or just add some more immersion of the chaos of war. Absolutely love BF4.
The disappointment was on another level when nothing but small buildings was destructable

In Battlefield 4, you need to shoot at the BEAMS of the base of a Skyscraper
I always thought in real life if I shot artillery shells into the side of a building that it would just cause smoke and no damage

They should add bf4 maps in 2042 it would be dope af.
Levolution is not really the destruction that is in the game.
