    Cool!
I did write and illustrate 4 of my own children's books between 2016 and 2019... or 20. These books were only for us and family/relatives, and then close friends wanted them. That was THE ONLY reason. And yes, they are on KDP. It is nice to get some sales. First book was done 100% with my daughter, then aged 7.
I work as a graphic designer and do book layouts for authors for 20+ years. My daughter would see some of the work I was doing. She was getting into drawing and improving at that time. Really loved drawing! So when iPad Pro came out, and Procreate App, i had to relearn how to illustrate etc. And did it just for my daughter. She drew a lot of the animals/insects in it (It is about a caterpillar turning into a butterfly). We came up with the story too. She is a fantastic art director now!. Really good! taught her self animation on the iPhone. But loves sports!
And we made over 6 coloring books that actually sold very well on KDP. All hand drawn by us. Wacky Monsters, Wacky Aliens and Wacky Creatures.
But anyway... long rant... Does this make my books better than yours? No. Not at all.
Each person has their own reasons. The way you did it, for your daughter, not a problem to me. If I can't bake a cake, but go to a cake shop, am I a bad dad? No. You do what you can. (Actually I do bake cakes and make bread and all sorts of 5 course dinners... but that is another topic)
I always wanted to write a novel. Saw one of your earlier videos a few months back... "hmm" I think. "Is the book (series) that was in my head for decades going to come out?"
And...now with ChatGTP I am part way through my second novel and it is even BETTER than the first. April-May I spent 2 weeks watching tutorials (some of yours) and reading articles. There was a fantastic one about how to get ChatGTP do write in the style you want.
My/our first efforts were shocking... they sucked. But not to be stopped, I researched a better way. Then after 2 weeks of tweaking and learning.. holy cow! ChatGTP and me (using multiple chats) worked and refined the 12 top key points for the writing style I wanted. It is over one standard Doc page length! I also have a few specific prompts we worked on for certain kind of scenes and edits. We (meaning GhatGTP and me) have refined and tweaked this, and then I did test after test in separate chats. Results were outstanding. Most "Did AI write this" websites, including ChatGTP's own, say that is HIGHLY UNLIKELY to be AI written.(Even the RAW paragraphs before I edit.
My books is not fantasy, no sci-fi, but a kind of book I liked reading as a teen. A specific mass market paperbook like they sold at drug store counter. Maybe 7x5 inches, 250-300 pages.
And, I did it all in Chat 3.5. I just subscribed to get faster and better... but the 25 every 3 hours is a MAJOR way to slow it down. Just today I got a chapter done, but probably 50-100 prompts we did together to hash it all out. Then of course my editing which takes ages.
But long rant over... go for it!! Make a book each year for her! That would be cool, and even cooler for her when she is in her 20's and older and really appreciates it after the "angry teen" years that will come... (sorry to let you know). LOL...

Aw, that tiny ta-dah! You can tell you wrote a good children’s book by the way her little eyes flicked all over the pages. Lots to look at and process. May she grow into a lifelong reader. 💖

This is so darling! I loved this video. I'm making a book for my daughter too. There is no greater joy than being a parent. Your channel is very helpful to me in this process since I'm not a real writer like you. 🤗😍

Things like this are very cool. I wrote my first middle grade series several years ago, featuring my daughter's dog as the protagonist. Mine is old enough now to read just about any book she wants. Enjoy these children's book days as much as you can. They don't stay children for long!
